And we are BACK with further evidence that I need to get laid!
So I freaking love strength sports enough that I am as avid a historian of strongman, powerlifting, oylmpic lifting and general strength history. There has been tremendous cross over between strength sports and wrestling even before pro wrestling as we know it was much establish.
So I thought it would be cool to document the strongest wrestlers depicted by Mattel.
To give some less well known examples: Jim Niedhart was a record holder in the shot-put and a lot of people tend to forget how ungodly strong track and field athletes can be and that many of the early greats of the sport of strongman were shotput and discus throwers. Another good example would be Ravishing Rick Rude who's grip strength is touted by every wrestler who knew him whether they liked him or not.
So to avoid unnecessary subjectivity, though you're welcome to be reasonable subjective, I am trying to stick with wrestlers who have either held records in strength athletics or won competitions in powerlifting, strongman, arm wrestling, held shotput records, and just known for moving absurdly heavy barbells when they trained/tossing people in the ring unaided for at least a considerable amount of their careers. Not in Order:
Mark Henry Bruno Sammartino Big E Langston Big John Studd Kane Braun Strowman Jim Neidhart Road Warrior Hawk Road Warrior Animal Iron Shiek Davey Boy Smith

Brock Lesnar wants to have one or two words with you on that list.... Here’s the thing. Has demonstrated tremendous power in the ring, but has minimal documentation of training. Obvious we know he trained his ass off to become that way but no one knows if he’s ever tried for a personal best in the powerlifts or moving enormous inanimate objects. I had planned on writing thorough biographies of each wrestler’s lifting accomplishments but I figured that would just get more bungholes to tell me I need to get laid. Because some people on this site are evil and hateful and deserve brief periods of pain brought on by diseases.

John Cena stares down at your list for the weak. John is kind of obvious and also never moved that much weight for a man his size. A 500lb squat for reps is strong, but not nearly enough to be considered the strongest.

Ryback... You know he would have beaten that record if Mark Henry didn't stop him!

does Warlord's bench press challenge count? I heard those were fake weights though. But c'mon the size of the Powers of Pain = strongmen. On that note, I don't know if Haku/Meng did any feats of strength, but his toughness outside the squared circle is legendary.

I’d be interested to know some documentation on the guys you listed, as I doubt off the top of my head I would’ve included Bulldog, Big John Studd, Kane, Road Warriors as top strength athletes (don’t get me wrong, obviously very strong guys but like some said about Cena, not sure they’re elite). Ken Patera is the most obvious omission. And I believe Mark Henry has said that Cesaro is pound for pound as strong as he’s seen.
