On the one hand, he just signed a 5 year deal just 4 months ago. He knew how his first run went, and whether the WWE gave him a pack of lies or not, he knew what he was getting into when he signed. He also had to have known that the WWE was signing everyone they could simply to prevent AEW from getting h Th em. On the other hand, the WWE could have pitched him a story and then stopped it two weeks after he signed. Obviously him getting Maria pregnant could have derailed plans, but the WWE could have simply said “sorry, we have nothing for you” like they have done to so many in the past. Im no lawyer, but I don’t think he has much leverage, if any based on how recent he signed the contract. He’s gonna have to suck it up and enjoy the $ that the WWE is paying him. His initial run in WWE at that point was hardly some great work or anything. That’s my point. They didn’t do anything with him throughout his first contract. A lot of that had to do with them loosing trust in him after going to rehab and then getting Maria pregnant, so he should have known they didn’t see him as any more than a lower card performer. He’s a jobber in their eyes, yet he doesn’t seem to realize that.

Hate to say but WWE wasted money and time signing them both. Mike was just nothing but problems from the beginning.

Smart move on his part to leave. WWE is destroying everything about him It's not smart at all as he's asking for his release four months into a five-year contract he just signed. It is, because he could get a little more push like The Revival and Luke Harper did when they asked for their release while they were under contract.

Seems like level headed reasons for wanting to leave.
