He announced it on twitter... Can you blame him after what they've done with him the past 3 years. What an absolute waste and shame.

His run has been a disaster from day 1. He was signed just because he was in Impact and then put on the main roster when he shouldve been on NXT. Then came injuries, rehab, paternity leave...

The best thing he ever did, and ever will do, is be Maria's bitch on live tv. Maybe he can go to AEW and team with Shawn Spears and people can pretend they are actually worth a damn.
Maria and Mike are hell bent on making sure I never get a Mattel Maria figure. Although, she isn't going to ask for her release, so maybe a singles release if we don't get a 2-pack. However, I doubt either will happen.

On one hand im always for someone doing something that they can be happy with...
On the other hand, like dude what did you expect from your run in WWE? You came in, you're around for a few weeks before you leave because of your drug issues, you bad mouth the company you work for asking for your release in the meantime, then come back and sign a 5 year contract proving money is worth more than your happiness, get another small push on TV then immediately put a halt to that because you got Maria preggers again, and then complain you only work one match a week. When you're unreliable like that no one is going to be giving you a prime spotlight.

The problem with these public sayings, is that at least in the beginning, it is somewhat of a squeaky wheel gets the grease.
The Revival, ask for their release, get awarded the tag team titles. Luke Harper, asks for release, gets put in a program with Rowan. Sasha Banks, complains, sits out for awhile, gets put into a championship program with Becky Lynch. Lio Rush, complains, asks for his release, gets handed the cruiserweight title.
WWE doesn't want to release people for fear they will go make AEW money. So, at least in the beginning, people get rewarded for complaining so they will stop complaining.
Whats funny is now Lio Rush is tweeting that Mike basically needs to stick it out. When Lio is one of the ones that complained, and his punishment was the cruiserweight title.

No wonder they've shifted their storyline to Rusev, Lana, and Lashley...

I can see him going to MLW or NWA instead of AEW if he does get his release and doesn't just go back to impact

Should have done it long ago. Being lit in a cuck storyline pretty much kills any power of the character. Even if he was in breach of contract; he should have refused to do the storyline to begin with an sat out til it resolved via contract run out or even if it went to court

You're leaving out key info here The Revival: Ask for their release = Get shown to be absolute jokes on TV, shaving each others back in the showers, 'Ucey Hot' etc... Luke Harper: Asks for his release = Gets ignored and made to sit at home for 5 months. Lio Rush: Asks for release/complains = Taken off TV entirely, key role on TV gone, and made to sit at home for 4/5 months. The only one that has been 'rewarded' is Sasha Banks, which funny enough, she didn't ask for her release and didn't get a form of punishment for it.

Dude wasn’t happy being a tag guy in ROH, wasn’t happy being a mid card guy in TNA, and wasn’t happy being an underneath guy in wwe after they gave him a big push to start, he had to go to rehab, his wife got pregnant, he talked poorly about the company on social media, goes to 205 and unimpresses there, signed a brand new five year deal, gets a tv angle and fails to make the fans care, wife gets pregnant again....did I miss anything? Seems to be unhappy everywhere he goes, AEW won’t touch him I promise that.

You do know that the Sasha Banks story in particular was proven to be completely false, and her absence was due to a sharp decline in her mental health, right? Likewise as far as I know, The Revival and Lio Rush stories were never confirmed either. I wouldn't believe everything you read on dirtsheets if I were you.

Mike had his chance to walk away, he opted to resign a 5 year contract, about 4 months in he wants out. You don't see other people complaining they work 1 tv match a week, plus house shows.

He won the first match but they had to go to the finish in like two minutes cause he blew up, they had the rematch at the PPV, Sami won and then Mike went to rehab. That was back when a feud with Sami was a big deal.

Inserting a "work work work work work by Rihanna gif" or maybe a Missy Elliot "Work it" gif.
Until he's released, I'm saying this is him working us. Unless Maria is not pregnant, no one is going to willfully give up a paycheck when they're about to have a second child. If he is, I have even less respect for him if he's not a millionaire. There are literally thousands of parents out there across the world who are impoverished and without gainful employment. Just seems like a dumb move to do unless he's been saving for this.

I like Mike a lot. I think his Miracle run in TNA was awesome. WWE really hasn't given him a single viable opportunity since he's signed with them, at least from my perspective. The stuff he has been given, the 24/7 Title and being the subject of Maria's scorn has all been good imo but I don't think most fans appreciated any of it. They put him on 205 Live and didn't even let him win on that show and nobody even watches that sh*t.
From a performers perspective, it has to be incredibly difficult to feel like you're capable of more and not be given opportunity. The EC3 situation is an absolute travesty because that guy is super talented and can't get on TV. The rosters are really bloated right now and Mike feels like a guy that WWE signed to keep off of other programs. Regardless, we've heard lots of guys talk about how hard it is to not be used or valued. Mike is just in that place where he wants to do what he loves and he's not getting that chance, and he should be afforded the right to go do that wherever he pleases because he's an independent contractor and those bullsh*t contracts are a two-way street.
