So it's evident that a large number of this community avoids collecting from the basic line and are primarily Elite/UE collectors. Being in the market of collecting basics myself my question is with the recent switch of the basic line scheme/points of articulation will there be more demand for the older basics which had the more traditional design with biscep swivel and such? Im personally not in favor of the newer basics although I think the new basic design favors the female characters better for some reason. )

The Basics have been a lot better over the last year. In fact, I've been collecting some of them

I’m not against buying a basic, but it’s 100% going to be a legend if I do.

No. I have a good number of basics in my collection, and am happy to buy them if there's a figure I like. But I don't see the change in articulation having any impact on older figures, save maybe some customizers who used the arms for arm swaps.

I don't see the older ones going up in value. Since the change in articulation I've only bought a handful of Basics, and sometimes wait for 5 below to get them in

I hate the new arms on the Basics. I refuse to buy them, and have moved exclusively to Elites.
I can't see myself getting another one unless they change it. I'm not angry about it, it's saved me from spending on Basics and BPs. lol

In the past year I've bought a few basics. B100 Rock, Andrade/Vega. I have noticed how poor the quality is though. Ignoring the arms, the legs are an issue too. My basic 100 Rocks left leg popped out of the new socket when trying to bend his knee. I bent my Andrade's right leg up as if he's kicking and the crotch piece merely existing left a huge slash/gouge line in the leg plastic. Very poor. There's also 0% consideration for scale. I think my B100 Rock and HBK and BP Andrade are all the same height. Andrade might even be the tallest. Possibly some of the lowest quality toys I can remember.

Todays basics will become what titan tron live figures are now...worth little to nothing. The basic figures in my opinion have ran its course and are so outdated compared to the rest of todays market. With the aew line launching basics will look even more out of place.

I only buy basics of females or if it's a particular outfit I like/remember of someone. I can't remember the last Basic I bought. Maybe the red Bayley I got at 5 Below? A lot of the new basics I've seen seem to have different color arms/head compared to the chest/torso & that's an automatic no-go for me.

I love when I can get a Basic of a guy who doesn't have an Elite and save myself the extra $5 to $10. I have a whole shelf of Basics, and I love them just as much as my Elites.

I’ll buy women’s basics, & suited figures, and occasionally one for a head swap, but other than that nope....I actually use to struggle with collecting basics, but once they changed the articulation, it made it a really easy decision

Those arms on the basics are horrible the only way I'll buy a basic if it's a first time in the line or the female wrestlers that I don't have other than that they can keep those elites rule!!!

I buy the basics if I want that specific gear. I tend to buy a good bit of basics actually.

I don't like the new basics that look like TTLs but they are still the base of the WWE line. They need affordable figures for little Jimmy

I don’t like the newer lack of articulation, but even more so, the out of proportion scale. Keith Lee and Matt Riddle are about 6’10” and 6’7”.

Despite being an MOC elite collector I happened to buy the Keith Lee basic recently, just wanting to leave a store with a figure for once. So displaying him next to the few other loose figures I have it’s easy to see how big he seems compared to them.
