Never wanted it & genuinely never seen the appeal of it. When Sting came in it was how I always wanted it..rescuing folks from some injustice or another. But after a promising start they murdered it in cold blood At least we got DX vs NWO at WM31 đ đ€Ł đ

I donât think it would have been good. Like at all. Both men were past their ability to really go. Had it been in the 2005-2010 time period, sure. It just never was a âdream matchâ to me. 10-15-20 years ago was the best time

This was my biggest dream match and it sucks because a lot of us were anticipating this to happen once Sting signed with WWE. The ball was surely dropped. I believe WWE had multiple times to sign Sting and deliver this match, but it is what it is. I mostly got upset because Sting was more than willing to do the job and had been very vocal about wanting to work with The Undertaker. However, The Undertaker wasnât interested. The promos would of been insane Iâll tell you that. For me, in a perfect world this match would of taken place in the late 90âs during the Monday Night Wars. Youâd have ministry Undertaker and â97/â98 Sting. The 90s or 2000s was the best time. We still should have got in during the 2010s tho. So damn close ffs.

I would of been fine getting it at any point. Sting and the Undertaker could of been in wheelchairs and I would of still watched it. We all know the match would be terrible, but the theatrics, the nostalgia and the build up would be fantastic. The icon vs the deadman. The most loyal guys to their respective companies.

Legit...it would never be forgotten. The most loyal guy in WWE history vs the most loyal guy in WCW history.

I never could wrap my head around the reason people wanted this. Why? because they both wore black? Whoopie! They're in ring styles dont mesh at all. Cinamatic style I guess would be ok but at that point...whats the point. You dont want to see a match..you want to see a film.

A lot of great feuds felt like films or were heavily influenced by them. Undertaker and Kane's first feud was basically film material if you take the wrestling out of the equation.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always found Sting Vs Kane to be a more appealing match.

Had the match taken place anywhere near their physical primes, yes, it would have been interesting. After 2010 or so, it would have been in danger of being lackluster. Both guys were slowing down around this time, and it might have felt forced.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always found Sting Vs Kane to be a more appealing match. Sting turning up to face down a monster Kane on a tear would have been good stuff. But the Kane character has been stone dead since Shane was portrayed as his equal in 2003 so that would also have been a waste of Sting unless Kane had been whopping ass for 2 years solid.

Wake me when that isn't the case.

No interest in unmasked Kane vs Sting. The Crow in paint vs the masked monster was the draw imo. Off topic but I don't recall Shane being Kane's equal. From what I remember Kane kicked Shane's ass during that entire feud. Only time Shane got the upper hand was when he pushed him into the fire. I will say that Taker looked worse during his Shane feud back in 2016. The biggest Legend in wrestling was suddenly Vince's puppet and getting put through tables by Shane.

He was booked to be e legit threat against Kane in 2003. Ambulance matches etc. ridiculous stuff. Also I wouldn't have any interest in unmasked Kane vs Sting either...100% on that one.

The timing just never lined up. Sting chose not to come to WWE after WCW was bought. He said himself that he was put off by the way ex WCW wrestlers were treated in WWE and he didnât feel like putting up with that or having to prove himself again after being such a proven veteran elsewhere.
Then he went to TNA for 10 years because it was easy for him. Light schedule and very high pay.
By the time TNA decided they didnât want to pay him the high yearly salary anymore and he went to WWE, he was too old and Taker was too old and his body was destroyed.
If WWE was going to do it, WM32 would have been the time. Instead of Taker vs Bray and Sting vs Triple H, we should have just gotten Taker beating Sting, and honestly Sting probably would have just retired after.

It needed to happen when Sting was still surfer Sting and Undertaker was grey gloves taker. Good vs Evil, light vs darkness. That was when it would have made sense. But for when Sting finally did come to the WWE yes Taker indeed turned it down. Which I felt was a dick move making him the biggest hypocrite ever. Because Jericho told the story about himself being pissed off about having to work with Fandango at WM and it was Taker who told him to stop bitching and do it because heâs getting paid by the WWE to do a job and the boss wanted him to do it so just do the match. Then he didnât take his own advise when he was asked to wrestle Sting.

The et he did take his own advise when he was asked to wrestle Sting. He also turned heel in late 2001 when he got wind of the nWo coming in because Vince wanted him involved. Turning heel removed him from any possible programme with the trio so yes He most certainly has form here....

Sting wouldâve gotten his ass WHOOPED by Undertaker and Kane if he came in 2001 lol DDP Booker T Kronik Kanyon Flair Hogan RVD Dreamer Between 01 & 02 Undertaker kicked those guys asses big time. Sting would've been no different. In fact I could easily imagine Sting's ankle being chained to Takers bike and getting dragged around the arena.
