WWE.com has an article up covering MVP's first year in the WWE & how dominating it was, breaking it down moment by moment (note: there was never a mention on his Benoit fued, just the title win.) Not a bad read.
If you had to choose someone for the best rookie year EVER, who would you pick? I'd give it to Kurt Angle. Dominating is an understatement for him. While I thought it was "too much, too soon, too fast" its still leaps & bounds over what MVP did.

Brock Lesnar. In his first 365 days, he won the WWE title twice and defeated many top stars such as The Rock, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Big Show, RVD, and more. Plus, he won the KOTR, Royal Rumble, and main event of Wrestlemania. Nobody will ever compare to that.

What happened to Asia btw?

He hasn't had the best rookie year that's Lesnar easily, then Angle.
However I love that whole segment they've got on WWE.com and I just generally love MVP.

I think it has to go to 1)Angle 2)Lesnar and 3) Goldberg
I give it to Angle because he won every major Singles title in the WWF in the first year (World, IC, European and KOTR). Brock had a great run as well but just defeated some decent names (as Angle did) and held 2 world titles. Ill take goldberg at #3 just for the huge winning streak (even though i personally saw him lose 3 times to 3 different Guerreros on WCW World Wide) before his debut on Nitro

But to be fair no-one expected Lesnar to either, one second he's living his dream & main eventing PPV's defending his World title, then he has to drop to Eddie & lay down for a series with 'Taker & suddenly Football was the dream after all, WTF! Brock by far had the best rookie year ever, he was booked so well by the WWE seeing him as a younger, stronger, bigger version of Angle

Brock Lesnar without a doubt. Angle and Goldberg are runenrs-up, but in 1 year Lesnar:
- Won the 2002 King of the Ring - Won the WWE Title at SummerSlam - Won the Royal Rumble - Main Evented WrestleMania XIX - Defeated the likes of Rock, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Undertaker, & Kurt Angle
Sorry buy there is almost nothign that can top all that.

Kurt Angle. Nothing will ever change my mind, that Lesnar DID NOT deserved any of the things mentioned above this post.

Mr Kennedy,MVP,Batsista in 2005 and Kurt Angle ...2005 was Batista's 4th year.. Anyways, I'd say Brock. Kurt Angle. Nothing will ever change my mind, that Lesnar DID NOT deserved any of the things mentioned above this post. Why not? Why does everybody hate him for chasing his #1 dream? Do you hate The Rock as well? The Rock is a MUCH bigger sellout than Brock.
