RVD should never have been champ in WWE. When he got to WWE his work ing sucked. It's true. When Angle said that RVD told him he didn't know how to work anymore, I believed it. RVD's selling is awful. He could have great matches in ECW, but his work in WWE was lackluster, especially the last two years. He didn't get a title before ECW came back for a reason, not just because HHH held him down. HHH doesn't need to hold half of these guys down. They suck enough on their own to get found out when they get a chance to shine. RVD. He's not sitting home resting, he's sitting home because he thinks he is bigger than what WWE thinks he is and that they will come crawling back. He's going to be sitting home forever.

Rob has always hated Triple H and has made this public for years. It's just another example of how much backstage stroke he has. Along with RVD, there's tons of other careers Triple H has tried to ruin along the line, as well. I don't know how anybody can be a fan of Triple H. If you want to like the guy for what he does in the ring, that's one thing. But backstage and outside of his in-ring performances, the guy is a complete prick who has killed so many stars along the way to benefit himself and his friends. Like T1 said, people complain about the way Hogan has burried guys along the way - Triple H is way worse than Hogan ever was. Not to mention the fact that guys like Randy Orton and Batista wouldn't even still be employed if it wasn't for their association with Triple H. Triple H is a terrible worker who doesn't care about building any stars that he didn't help create. The WWE would be a hell of a lot better without Triple H around. I agree apart from the last sentence, i feel that since he has buried so many, i don't think WWE would be better without him, he is the leader of raw, and i don't think HBK (due to age) or Y2J could lead it like he can now

the problem with RVD is that he believes in his hype too much, the man is a mid-carder nothing more. HHH>RVD Amen.

I remember when that fued took place & when HHH went over, this ENTIRE board wanted to go & torch HHH's house. I remember those days. I think both are phenominal talents, or they were. At the time, RVD was very very over. And HHH took all that away. As soon as he lost at Unforgiven, RVD was like a rocket to the midcard. This is what HHH does. Its not that they don't go over, its that HHH makes them look like crap before that. HBK doesnt do that. Even Hogan and his monster ego doesnt (he may outshine you, but you still got in the ring with Hulk Hogan...thats good no matter how you cut it). Neither did Angle (who made EVERYONE look good) Austin or Rocky. Only HHH buries you so completely. At the end, RVD sucked, but you know if I worked for a company and busted my ass and had the fans cheering me and selling merch so well and I got nothing for it, you better believe eventually I'll stop busting my ass and not give a damn what you do. Now its just a job, and you'll do enough to keep it (maybe) and thats all. And how we can say RVD was midcarder and not worthy of a title without mentioning the ungodly underservedly long run of Cena is funny to me. I got nothing against Cena, but for as long as he held a title, I think Rob certainly was worth a few months of gold around his waist. We say he couldn't be the company's flagship superstar, but we'll never really know that.

I think RVD should have gone over in the fued. He was super over it was the right time to finally put the belt on him but his legs were taken out from underneath him. They could have even gave him the belt at Unforgiven, then if they didn't like his run, have him drop it back to HHH at No Mercy.
The same thing can be said for the Booker T/HHH match at WM19. Booker clearly should have gone over in that match but HHH pinned him.
The same thing will probably happen to Hardy at Armageddon too.

I love it how RVD thinks hes the greatest wrestler to walk the planet. Hes so overrated and is nothing and will always be a Mid-Carder.

HHH buries people were they can never look like legit competitors again. I am so happy Ultimate Warrior got the chance to make HHH look like crap at WM. Because that is how he is making other wrestlers that he doesn't CLIQUE with look.

In the first link almost half way through it you can clearly see RVD say "f*** you" to his face, so I'd say that they really don't like each other.

Honestly it was bad that RVD didn't go over in that feud, but it was worse when he didn't go over in his " feud" with Stone Cold.

Yeah, RVD was super over then and it was definitely the best opportunity they had to give him the World Heavyweight title. Dude, he was super over in 2001 when he was in the Alliance. They should have had Austin vs. RVD for the Title, and given it to Van Dam.

You the man, Thug!!!!!! I've been saying the same thing. HHH is bad for the wrestling business and after him and Steph take over the "E" after Vince, WWE is gonna go down the crapper just like WCW.

When it comes down to it, RVD was as many said before me a "glorified mid-carder" WWE never held RVD down, his personal demons and his own self held him back ( such as his many "botches and terriable selling, lack of passion".) I mean look at it over the years, it was incident, after incident, with him backstage and during meetings with creative. I'll use a popular phrase, "RVD screwed RVD" When he won the WWE Championship & The ECW Championship and he was finally the " man" in WWE. Vince gave him the opportunity and what did he do? He got drugged up and put behind bars..
and Vince had every right to do what he did in the end with RVD because Vince knew RVD didn't want to be apart of WWE toward the end. Plus it all goes back to this, Business is Business and as we seen in the past WWE does what's good for them and I completely agree with how they handled RVD each time after his incidents. Also all RVD wants is attention just like the rest that can't hold a job because of their addictions or poor workmanship.
Also, RVD may have been over somewhat but he will never surpass Triple H with being " over with the fans" people weren't buying tickets to see RVD, they were buying tickets to see Triple H because he was the one selling out arenas and taking each and everyone of our 40 dollars to see if he would drop the WWE Championship or how he would "over come the face yet again". And Vince had something great and he ran with it. Triple H wither you like him or you hate him, he is Business through and through and he is as he says the best in the game. I don't care if you hate what I got to say or love every last word. WWE knows best period.
