I guess its the cool thing to hate Rob Van Dam, I remember back in when everyone marked out on him. Yeah, Wrestling fans are the biggest two faces of all sports fans period.

If Triple H went over to RVD and SVD's house for the holidays, I'm sure the turkey would have Special Stuffing.

I couldn't stomach 2003 and 2004 back then because of Evolution and Triple H
Seeing Triple H with his pressed hair and shaven face, it pissed me off to know he was quite possibly the biggest prick ever back then and I think he played out his real backstage role in his gimmick.
One reason I hated WWE back then. It was horrible

Thing is with this RVD is a douche bag, it's all about himself or nothing. I am a big fan of his, but I am sure his ego got away A LOT backstage, so just because you don't like HHH doesn't mean RVD was some shining star. Especially in 2002, he wasn't anything great. He wasn't in WWE that long at the time, he had his title run and ed it up. That was his own problem, he was ontop of the world. HHH is an ego maniac also, from what I hear. In DVD's and whatnot he seems like a more down to earth sort of guy. He was just like RVD though, he is an egomaniac that built himself up after 10+ years. He went through crap, got big with DX, then became one of the best heels of all time. RVD is great and all, but he really has NOTHING on HHH's career.

The only times HHH really should've dropped the belt to someone, and didn't, were against Booker at WM 19, and to Kane numerous times. But even then, Booker T was a or two year past his prime, and unless half the roster dies overnight, Kane's not going to be booked to be world champion again anyway. I'm sure Triple H did hold him down, probably because he didn't trust a world class up like RVD to carry the company. And he was kinda proven right. To go from going over the biggest star in the company and having two world titles, to doing clean jobs to Bob Holly in less than a year, is ing hilarious. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Just out of curiosity, has RVD ever pinned Triple H's shoulders to the mat? Once, in a tag match with Ric Flair against HHH and Chris Jericho I take it Jericho was champion? If so, figures.

ugh, RVD is a glorified mid-carder. LOL. And the guy in your sig isn't? Chris Jericho was amazing in WCW but he was an amazing MID-CARDER. How he jumped from winning the cruiserweight title in WCW to automatically getting air-time with the Rock on Jericho's Monday Night Raw debut is beyond me. Not to mention how extremely FLAT Jericho's debut went over. Did you hear the fans on Monday? Jeez I hear Hardcore Holly get more of a reaction. RVD is not overrated if the guy was never really given a chance. The WWE decided to give him the belt when it was convenient to promote their watered down version of "ECW". They knew RVD was the most over guy in ECW history so they decided to try and reel in some of the hardcore ECW fans why not put the belt on RVD for a little while just until ECW is established. WWE never really seemed to take notice to RVD's popularity. The guy got literally no reaction at all on his debut because all of these new fans don't remember the RVD from the real ECW. But as soon as the match with Jeff Hardy at InVasion happened that is when everyone took notice. RVD was about as useless on the mic as Ron Simmons...but instead of "DAMN" all the mic-time for RVD was all of 5 seconds "Everything is cool...when your R-V-D"... ......are you serious WWE? It is disappointing that RVD could have been the next HBK or someone of that caliber but WWE just took a fat s*** on the legacy of RVD.

Once, in a tag match with Ric Flair against HHH and Chris Jericho I take it Jericho was champion? If so, figures. Actually no. HHH was champ. I remember the finish, Flair had Jericho outside with the Figure Four, HHH came in to hit Van Dam with his belt, but ate a Van Daminator. Then RVD hit a Five Star Frog SPlash for the pin.
