Would never happen simply because neither would benefit from it. The Rock has move on beyond wrestling and Shawn Michaels career is on the way down, not on the way up.

It should have happened during the Attitude Era

Michaels called Rock some names as a Rookie and constantly made fun of him. Michaels leave the scene and uh oh, Rock becomes greater than Michaels ever would have been. Rock refuses to work with the man that harassed and tried to use the HHH effect on the Rock. So the match will never happen. If it did, I would go for the Rock to win because he was never a whiny bitch back stage and truly appreciated the fans for everything they did for him. I like Michaels as a wrestler, but I see and hear too much crap that says he hasn't changed one bit and is a typical hypocrit born again.

The Rock doesn't realise that wrestling made him, where as hbk does thats why he came back and put his body on the line.

The Rock doesn't realise that wrestling made him, where as hbk does thats why he came back and put his body on the line. You cant say wrestling made The Rock. The Rock made himself. Yes he used wrestling as a plateform to get into movies. But wrestling never done that for him. The Rock done that on his own, by becoming bigger than wrestling. As for the match. It is the last true dream match in wrestling(apart from Hogan/Austin). With their history, it wont happen. If it was to happen. Rock would go over Michaels. Rock would never let Michaels go over him after they way he treated him and I believe Michaels would be ok with that fact and would lie down for The Rock for Michaels to have one last GREAT match.

just leavin al the backstage stuff out for a bit. just as a fan this would be a great match. i agree the only way it wuld go down would be for the rock to win. if it happend now it would be a good match. imagine if it was the Rock from about 2001/2002 against shawn in his cockiest of dx days. that would be amazing.

The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels that graphic makes me laf, Michaels looks deformed round the mouth/chin area hahah anyways, HBK is my fave wrestler of all time so I would want him to win, but it would be great to see The Rock be in a WWE ring again so I wouldnt really care who wins, because the real winners would be the fans.

I'm not sure if I ever see Rock showing up again, but if he did it, not quite sure I'd see him facing HBK. HBK, not to judge, does not seem to be the Christian he's been claiming to be the last few years, judging by the dirtsheets (not to say the dirtsheets are infallible, but they aren't all wrong either -- as it's been said, a broken watch is right twice a day), and while he's probably not the same mid 1990s HBK that The Rock disliked backstage, I'm not sure if he's improved his attitude enough to gain back The Rock's respect.
I don't see it happening. However, 1995 HBK vs. 2000 Rock would be one heck of a match.

anyone else think or take in consideration the reason the rock hasnt been in the ring is cause this is a time when his family needs him the most? hes got kids they are growing up he doesnt want to miss it chances are when the kids are older hell maybe do a short run but who knows
the match would be amazing though

The Rock would come back and win. And Rightfully so. But that would cause HBK to over sell the Rock Bottom, and fake a heart attack during the Peoples Elbow. Then when they get backstage, he will have a mid life crisis because he just had to job to a returning legend.

There still are some dream matches such as Sting/Undertaker, Goldberg/Austin, Sting/Rock

Well I definitely feel that if the Rock's movie career goes way downhill, he will come back to wrestling - besides, he left the WWE on good terms. But i'd agree with the Rock if he didn't want to wrestle HBK. HBK in the past has tried to ruin the careers of quite a few wrestlers and if he's "changed" well its too late as the damage he caused cannot be repaired even if he puts over the whole Raw roster.

And yeah, it's a dream match, and I honestly wouldn't care who'd win, it just won't happen though.

oh man this match would be intense. if this match happened at Wrestlemania it's pretty much a garentee The Rock wins cause HBK always jobs at Wrestlemania but it is defiantly a match to see.

It would rake in an assload of money though. It's a dream match, so what if neither wrestler gains in the end from it? It's a classic that I wish would happen.
