YEs a big buiild up and he comes back so far winless at any PPVs, and off a losing feud with JBL.

I'm not sure if i would consider a Jericho return a bust because at anytime the WWE could put him into a main event match and most people would be happy. I do agree that his return feud with JBL didn't do much for either of them in turns of elevating them or even entertaining me.

It's the hair, thats all. I dont see Jericho as a true champion with his hair now, long hair suited him a lot better.

As I said in another thread, it's sad, Jericho is Mid-card for life.
Jericho doesn't get a reaction anymore at all. Not like back in 2000, when he was beeing cheered more then Rock.

The build up lasted way too long if they were only going to have him basically lose in a feud with Orton and go onto a meaningless feud with JBL. I love Jericho and wish he would win the title again, but I get the feeling that he himself didn't want to come back and immediately win the title. He's never been that type of guy.
No Mercy would have been the perfect time for Jericho to debut. The crowd was over HUGE because the Save_Us.222 promo just aired the week before and was chanting his name like crazy at the start of the show. They should have had Jericho win the WWE Title and then go onto lose it to Orton at Cyber Sunday or Survivor Series if the WWE was so intent on giving Orton the title.
I think that they should have had Jeff drop the IC Title to Kennedy and then have Kennedy feud with Jericho over the title for a match at Wrestlemania. Of course, that was before Kennedy qualified for Money In The Bank, which Jericho will also likely do.

It's a shame to see him still stuck in the mid-card, but he pretty much is exactly where I figured he'd end up...

If the fans treated him as good Live as they od on the internet, he'd have either won the WWE Championship at Armageddon, or won the Royal Rumble this year.
