He was set up to fail by Triple H.

It was handled badly. WWE really makes no sense some times. They are constantly shoving poor angles down our throats for the sake of an upcoming PPV. Then, when it comes to Jericho's return, something that should have been exposed over a month earlier, they take their sweet ass time which flattened the hype.
And although I hate to stick Jericho to the word "mid-carder", if that is gonna be the case, he will go down as THE most successful mid-carder in the history of WWE.
As a "mid-carder"......
... was, at one point, the most over guy (sans The Rock) in the company. ... was one of the most entertaining heels. ... became the first Undisputed champion. ... headlined a WrestleMania (as the champ). ... had SOO many awesome matches. Etc., etc.
The list goes on and on. Whatever Jericho has to offer now, I'll welcome it. I don't give a damn if the helpless Cena rugrats don't know who he is, I do.
Jericho is the man and has had a career that some guys could only dream of. Whatever we get from him during this run is just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, it sucks. He needs to be a world champion again.

Yeah, it sucks. He needs to be a world champion again. Seriously why make someone who is not that marketable in this day age the champion when there are at least 4 faces on the Raw roster that I can think of (Cena, Hardy, Triple H & HBK) who are far more marketable as champion then Jericho. He has done nothing to warrant him a title reign, stuff that he did over 5 years ago has no relevance on what he has done in this day and age because that hasn't been main event worthy. Now don't get me wrong I like Jericho it's just stupid to make him champ.

Yea its been a mess, he has no real feud or strength in the wwe. Problem is HHH I think they sort of clash. Play the same part in the wwe at the moment!

It's the hair, thats all. I dont see Jericho as a true champion with his hair now, long hair suited him a lot better. I've been thinking this for a while... he lost that "it" factor when he cut his hair and toned down his look. Yeah i agree he hasnt had that "main event" feel to him, also hes cut back on the funny, trash talking promos that he did. Id love to see him turn heel in the near future., i think that could push him back towards the main event.

WWE failed by drawing it out WAY to long. By the time he redebuted it was a failure because people knew it was Y2J and they got sick of waiting. After maybe 5 weeks of waiting, Orton should have been in the ring running his mouth, Jericho's original Count down should have came on, and he should have came out running his mouth on Orton. Instead we had to wait nearly 4 months for him to beat an olympic runner up, have a 3 min "omg who is it" tron entry, only to see he came back looking like some gay bartender that was going to save us.

Well, to be honest, I always knew Jericho would end up back at upper-mid card. For some reason people drop off his bandwagon pretty soon. However, I think the momentum would have been better if they didn't drag on his return so much and make it so insanely, idiotically obvious.

My opinion is still the same since his 2nd coming. I'd rather see him fued with people he hasn't before such as JBL and Kennedy, than be buried in the title scene or win the title and have everyone complain that he's stale within a month. I've enjoyed his matches with JBL and it's been very entertaining. I really feel like I've been apart of something special these last few months because in November, I met the man himself at his book signing, anticipated his return, have seen him wrestle twice in person since returning, and he's just one of my all-time favorites; and I'd rather have him back on tv than not at all.
Would I like to see another title reign for him? Absolutely. But Orton's got something going right now and then it's probably going to go back to Cena for a few years. Cena's next title reign will most likely outlast Jericho's wrestling comeback, to be honest.

His push lasted a month, about what I figured it would.
