I use to eat out all the time dude, it's terrible. I thought to myself about a month ago, the warm weather is coming up, it's time for me to start eating healthy and work out. If you're looking to start there is no better time then now. I'll give you a few tips.
1. No more fast food. I you are forced to eat it for some reason, like it's what your family is getting or watch what you eat there or get something else. Lots of subway is good and they deliver. Also if you're gonna eat fast food, eat Arby's. After you don't have fast food for awhile you won't even want it. Your body will be so use to eating healthy that your stomach won't be able to handle it.
2. Do sit ups and squats every day. Thats what I've been doing and I feel great. Do as many as you can but don't push yourself. Work your way up slowly and go at your speed. Do NOT over work yourself. You will only give up faster. Losing weight the right way takes time and keep that in your mind.
3. Lots of water. Maybe Ice Tea here or there. If you're a big soda drinker, stay away from it as much as possible. If you really need it, drink it with your meal but then stick to water.
4. Do not use those energy drinks. They are full of nothing but sugar and in the long run make you fatter.
5. Jog around the block everyday.
6. Do you have a weight set? If not get one or at least get some weights to lift everyday. Again, do not over work yourself. You will only give up quicker. Don't be a big shot(not saying you would be) and think you can do more then you can. Stick to what works best for YOU!
7. Eat home as much as possible and watch what you eat. Little things like not adding salt to your food(if you already do) will help you. Also more veggie's less carbs.
8. More fruits and salad.
9. Stay away from white bread if you can. If you don't like wheat like me, start eating rye bread. It's still healthier than white. This isn't a must though but it's up to you. I personally like rye bread better so it doesn't bother me.
10. Less sweets and chips. Every once and awhile isn't gonna hurt you but don't make it a daily thing.
Now I know this sounds hard but remember, the longer you stay away from this stuff the easier it gets. The first few weeks(especially the first two) is gonna be hell. You're gonna hate it but once you get by the first few weeks it gets easier.
I'm not saying to do all this as I know it's hard but do what you can and just stay focused. Do not give up no matter how much it sucks!

Do you want to date this? So - Shrink portions - Drink water - Exercise...hell just walking somewhere instead of driving helps and you can still eat out and eat well. You can even still have junk food if you portion it out correctly. Candy once a week is just fine. Woah dude you should be a dietician

For everyone in the US, Eating healthy is not very easy. All we see on TV are food comercials, Making everyone want to shove disgusting fatty foods down there mouth. Do we all eat perfect? No, Of course not. Is it easy to eat heatlhy... no. All the fast food we eat is ruining us. I myself know for a fact what eating bad can do to someone. Last Summer I started eating less and less junk food and started eating home more. I dropped about 15 pounds by September, and best of all I felt absoloutley great. I felt really good about myself then. But... I eventually gave up my goal, So I just started eating crappy again. Since then I've gained 20 pounds. It's terrible. It took me about a month and a half to lose the weight, In a few months I got it back and gained more. I feel worse lately. I eat candy to much. I never even used to touch a candy bar. Now I'm all for sweets, Junk food.. Eating out.. And it's horrible. I feel bad now. It's hard to eat healthy now that my body is immune to all the crappy food I've been eating the past few months. I really need to motivate myself now that the warmer weather is coming. What should I do? How do I motviate myself? I can sympathize. I too am a guy who's addicted to junk food and tries to eat healthier, but after a short while, I go back to my old ways. Hopefully I can go a long period of time without eating junk and drinking soda(which I love).

I always found it hard to eat healthy as a kid, but I was always skinny, and still am to this day. Having Crohn's Disease really does motivate me to eat well, that and I play a lot of sports including tennis, baseball and basketball, so I don't want to be unfit.
I think I just grew out of eating crap.

dont forget. cereal and milk is good for you. pick a cereal high in fiber, low in sugar and fat. also go with the reduced fat milk. also pick snacks that are low in fat also. beef jerky is good for you. low in fat and high in protein. if you go eat at a fast food place, grill chicken always works. bad thing is that you have to leave off the sauce basically. no ranch sauce no mayo. both are loaded in fat caleries. if you eat salad watch your salad dressings. stick with no fat or reduced fat dresssings. i know this might be wierd but gronola bars and slim fast bars are great for snacks also. slim fast bars are great because they have vitamins and minerals plus they do the trick if you need a sweet - many are chocolate. -abcs

Life's too short to not to eat what I want, when I want. I don't eat a whole lot, and I don't eat anything really bad that often, plus I just workout with a strict routine and do a lot of cardio. I can't be bothered with eating like a girl, I like to eat good food. No offense to anyone that does have a strict diet, more power to you. It just is in no way, shape, or form, for me.

First thing... beat this into your head 1000 times: DRINK WATER. And lots of it. I drink 6-8 bottles a day. Not only does it help your body, it makes you feel good and rejuvinated. Soda makes you feel sluggish and dead. If you need something sweet every now and then, drink a vitamin water or something... I usually spoil myself with one a day, and have been losing weight doing so. Always eat breakfast... Whole grains. No sugary cereals... cheerios, wheat, fiber... anything that doesn't have 1000 tons of sugar poured on it. Whole wheat toast. Fruit. Eggs. NO, Eggs are not bad for you, despite what assclown may say they are... stay away from bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles... anything you can smother with 10 tons of syrup. Eat. Don't starve yourself. Eat 3-4 meals a day, but keep the portions controlled. Don't avoid meat... meat is good for you. What are human beings made of? MEAT. So, vegetarians are idiots too. Let them enjoy their sprouts and tofu while I enjoy my steak. However, keep the meat to the lean side. Turkey and chicken are always good, lean beef is not bad for you. Always make sure to eat fiber and a lot of veggies with your meals. I usually eat a full bag of steamed vegetables with dinner every single night. Take multi-vitamins. I take two, one with breakfast, one with dinner. Usually a One-A-Day "all day energy" with breakfast, and a centrum at dinner. Snacks should be mostly eliminated, but if necessary... eat some fruit. Grapes are pretty ing awesome, especially the red ones, and I love apples, strawberries and bananas. Fruit is actually very filling. Subway is actually a fairly good meal option if you get the right stuff... keep the bread whole wheat, and stay away from cheese and dressing. A friend of mine told me a secret that I have buried in my head... white foods are usually bad for you. Potatoes. White rice. Sugar... try to stay way from this stuff. If you want rice, go for brown rice... I don't really like it much, but it beats feeling bloated after eating white rice. I generally find you can eat almost anything, within reason... its ok to spoil yourself once in a while. Just don't binge eat, and keep the portions controlled. I love chinese food, but if I get a portion too big I usually eat it over the course of 2 or 3 days instead of gorging it all in one night. And of course, exercise... if you're going somewhere within reason: WALK. I go for two 2-4 mile walks around the city daily... I play hockey 2-3 times a week. That keeps me fresh. Join a gym.... run, jog, walk, do situps... whatever works for you. I found it all starts with water... just switch whatever you're drinking to bottled water, and watch the bloat go away within months... I dropped from a size 44 to a 35" waist in just about 16 months... anyone can do it if they try. My goal is to be wearing a size 32" by christmas... which is probably about as low as I can go at 6'2"

Milk rehydrates your body more than water or sports drink does. Milk has electrolytes and potassium Drinking soda also makes people more depressed and anxious as opposed to those who dont And you don't have to stay away from bacon. If you're counting calories, Jimmy Dean's Turkey bacon is not the way to go. Most white food have this bleach in them that strips any nutrition or graisn that are originally good for you
