A little secret regarding portions when you eat out...
Since you cannot control the initial portion size when you are eating out, it's good to get a take out container AT THE SAME TIME YOU GET YOUR MEAL. The reason being is that most everyone will eat more then the intended portion despite what you intended to eat from it in the first place. So get your meal, get the container with it and cut the portion and place in in the container right away. This way you will no 'accidentally' eat more then you intended to.

I've been losing some pounds since I volenteered at my local Zoo. You lift heavy object and are walking EVERYWHERE! It's great for animal lovers because you get to help and spend time with exotic animals and get a full workout. I recommend anyone who wants to help out the animals to volenteer at the Zoo or Animal Shelter. Also, it somehow keeps you eating healthy. I haven't had a soda in about a month!(Which is pretty good for me)

Today, I thought maybe I can see if I can go one week with out any soda. All day I have drank snapple and OJ. I'm reaching for one week without any soda.

I like to do my running, usually 1/4 mile (I know, I HATE running) then do the bowflex. Then I run, bowflex ,etc. Usually works pretty good. And drink buttloads of water.

Make sure the snapple you drink doesnt contain High Fructose Corn syrup in it. It does a lot of harm to your body

Everyones mentioning the nutrition and exercise aspect but there is indeed another. That is the mental psychology behind it. It may not be a big thing for some as much as it is for others but its generally there in some form.
You have to think whats got you into the bad habbits. Where you too lazy to get up that one time?
Did you want that biscuit because it was there or because you enjoyed having it in your favourite show?
Had something got you down enough to resort to eating, stress perhaps?
Its best you identify the barrier that was holding you back. The actual weight is a problem but the mental side of things is the tougher of the two. You can loose some weight but if your head isnt screwed on you are just going to go back to square one.
You need to identify the problem and overcome it. See what needs changing and act and strive to maintain the changes. Consitency and long term achievement is what is the bigger picture, it needs consideration. As you said Johnny, you came back to where you were. You have to do as Ive said this time.
Also yes there are some other thigns that can help with weight loss at this time: -stop eating when you are full, dont eat because its there -you must drink water all the time, at first it doesnt seem great but you see the difference eventually, treat yourself to soft drink every so often -gain an appreciation of food. Dont eat the same thing and unhealthy things alot, you appreciate and like them more if you have them once every so often -exercise, without it you aint going to lose the weight -if you want to be sneaky in your vegetable and fruit intake, make juices of fruit and slip in some vegetable so you get the nutrition but not the taste/texture -establish some rules such as no or minimal carbohydrates at night -fish fish fish, fish is brilliant for you its brain food and protein but dont have it battered -dont eat close to bed time, its rather unhealthy -dont eat unhealthy in the mornings at all, just leaves you bloated

Do you want to date this? So - Shrink portions - Drink water - Exercise...hell just walking somewhere instead of driving helps and you can still eat out and eat well. You can even still have junk food if you portion it out correctly. Candy once a week is just fine. Actually, I eat crapty and am in great shape.

I have a question since I'm also on a Diet, gained 30 lbs this last year. I've cut out pop completely, the crap makes me sick. All I drink now is Milk, Orange Juice and Water, I go through about a gallon of Orange Juice a day, according to my label thats 2600% Vitamin C today.. is that bad?
