I can't stand the mitb concept at all. It's a cheap title win, devalues the titles even more (if that's possible) and more times than not ends up hurting the guy who wins his first title in a cheap cash in.
Since its here to stay it appears I think they should make it so you have to announce your match in advance

But why can't we have engaging edgy storylines now like we did then. Everything is so formulaic these day. 97-98 was so much better creatively than it is today. I'm not just talking about the swearing and the t and a. Stable wars, characters with actual personality to make them stand apart from each other. Gimmick matches that actually culminated a fued instead of being a ppv scheduled months ahead.
Also while there may be some great athletes today I'm not so sure I agree on the better matches. Besides punk and Bryan I feel like you can swap out every black trunked wrestler who uses a move set as limited as a video game. When was the last time we have seen a piledriver, brainbuster ect... He'll a figure four or leap frog is a minor miracle these days.
Late 96-97 shows you can have high quality, gritty programming without all the fringe crap.

It will probably be an entertaining show with a bunch of legends and then next week it will be the same old moving forward

Honestly I would have preferred basics that come with only the most necessary accessories (million $ title, night stick ect) for $10 but I realize I'm probably in the minority. I also am not a big fan of the ab crunch so that helps haha

I agree cost is the biggest factor for me. Rent, bills, social activities ect... Even though i could make it happen, There is no way I can justify shelling out $17 a figure (usually 6 at a time).

Yeah people 25+ is the market, which is good because most would have full time jobs.
Anyway it would be cool if they made a small, cheaper scale for just legends. Something the size of build n' brawlers that was under $10. I know it would obviously never happen but would be sweet non the less.
Also Niners - Love the handle and sig. Can't wait for kickoff!

Who could really blame the wwe if its really true? They paid her for a year and a half to do almost nothing. Its unfortunate that she lost her child, but she obviously wants to start a family and will likely try again. Are they then supposed to pay her for another 9+ months if she gets pregnant again?
People always want to blame the company no matter what, it's funny

I'm glad I never collected legends. I was very close to jumping in head first when the line started but I limited myself to a few figures (which I ended up selling, though I do have a macho) but I restrained myself. So glad I never wasted the $. I would never pay online prices for an action figure so I probably would have holes in my collection anyway. I never even saw legends 4 or 6 at retail.
I will say some of the new figs looks good but I hold no interest in the current roster

Unbelievable heel? Similar to Mr Perfect? This place is ridiculous! Haha seriously. I really like Ziggler but let's not get too crazy just yet. Though apparently he's already reaching "legendary status"

I turned it off towards the end of the opening segment. I haven't minded the AJ/Punk/Bryan angle, but that was so bad it was one of those that you hope nobody you know saw haha.
I will watch the Backlund segment before I erase though

Whoa, what's with all the Rock hate? Don't you know it's the cool new thing on the Internet. I for one am pumped as it will actually give me a reason to sit down and watch not skim through the show on dvr in 15 minutes

He is obviously a tag specialist (and there is nothing wrong with that), BUT I do think he is underrated in the scheme of the Hart Foundation. His promos keep the Hart Foundation afloat early on until Bret really found himself in the WWF.

I can't stand mitb as it cheapens the title, the winning of the title and the guy who wins it.
That said I hope Ziggler doesn't win. It would just make him the next in line of heels who win the title in a weak manner.

The people complaining about storylines in wrestling must be about 50 years old because the last time storylines weren't involved was the late 70's.
I'm not a big fan of the current product, but damn people really do like to complain about everything.
Also Good call with the Rocco reference to the guy with LOD in his sig

1992. I watch during the late 80's with my brother but don't remember it all that vividly though as a kid I must have watched every wwf ppv and video from the 80's a dozen times each.
I stopped watching probably around 2002 and have watched casually off and on for the last few years. There are only a handful of guys that interest me these days so I just usually watch raw on the dvr while skipping some segments

I was always a very big Owen fan, but I don't think he was ever going to get the title. If it was to happen it would have been 94-95.
I was a big fan of the Black Heart gimmick. I feel like they could have done a lot more with it but it kinda fizzled out after WM14.

I for one like it. I think winning and cashing in mitb is the worst way to build a new champion and give them their first title. Sure it worked a few times but generally it's no good. The last thing I would want is for Ziggler to win his first title in this fashion.
Also if they use a cash in to take the belt off Punk it will be an absolute waste. With his long run, whoever beats him should do it clean (or at least semi) to establish themselves

I could care less about his attitude or if this report is true or not. Wrestling is entertainment and Brock entertains the hell out of me. I hope to see him back on tv soon. As soon as he left the product got stale again and I haven’t had much of a reason to watch.

If they end up taking the title off of Punk at the PPV in a triple threat that will be a complete travesty. This is the first legit title reign since I have started to watch again and to have Punk lose it by having Bryan pin Kane or vice versa would be awful. That’s the great part about a good long, legit reign is that when the title holder loses the belt it actually means something. When Punk drops the title it should be clean (or at least semi-clean) in a one-on-one match, preferably at a big 4 ppv.
