Here's my own excellent idea.
Ringside exclusive re-release Harley Race.
I think it would sell 1000% better than than shield angle and Jericho combined.

For those waiting with baited breath, Flashback series 3, including Harley, was found at Walmart in Canada. Someone posted Harley and Steamboat with the Canadian packaging and receipt as proof. Better cozy up to some Canucks. Can you share thank post/link ? I can't find it.

Look at what Karl Anderson's wife tweeted. Something really stinks about this whole situation.

Just like the shield angle figure. Ringside you know you can just say no to mattel when they give you dibs on figures that don't look all that great. The Shield Kurt Angle was originally a Toys R Us Exclusive before they shut down and it is overstocked because it was supposed to be sold at 800 stores and now it is all in one warehouse. Yes but again, you can always just say no to mattel if you have doubts of a figure selling well. Just like that Jericho exclusive that is shockingly still available for $23.99. Lots of poor choices being made for rsc figures. I will say home runs on the belt packs though. I would like to see more choices of those in the future.

I'm curious whether this was something RSC specifically requested, or something that Mattel pushed their way. It just feels very "meh," sort of like Matt Hardy and Angle. It's not even a memorable or unique attire - it's a Raw attire of a wrestler who has multiple similar Elites that aren't exactly in high demand. You’re exactly right. I was talking crap about this pick earlier. I buy Sasha’s Elites because I actually like her and enjoy watching her. But her Walgreens Elite And WM 35 Wlite were some of the biggest shelf warmers of the last couple of years. Why would they think a premium priced ‘regular’ Elite would be a good choice. Maybe it was pushed on them or something Just like the shield angle figure. Ringside you know you can just say no to mattel when they give you dibs on figures that don't look all that great.

Ringside selling another "supposive" retailer exclusive would be further evidence that all these exclusives are bullcrap and need to end.
Like I said I really don't think walmart and target are pushing for these "exclusives" I think mattel is.

Ok and yet the "Exclusives" are popping up on wweshop, rsc, going to the wrong retailer and popping up in discount retailers. That to me is the definition of a failure, compounded by all the scalpers making off like bandits.
My mistake on toysrus and k-mart and them having exclusives right off the bat. I forgot about them since one died and is trying a comeback. The other is a zombie that will not die aka kmart.

Level playing field = No Exclusives. Well, “no exclusives” is silly nonsense anyway - most of the big toy lines have retailer exclusives. But how, in your head, does getting rid of exclusives suddenly level a playing field or enable every person in the world to buy any wrestling figure they want at any store they go into? It’s just magical fantasy that has no relation to reality. Why is it nonsense to want something better ? For the first few years of mattels wwe run there where no exclusives other than ringside. I am saying lets go back to that. Make it easier to buy wrestling figures and more people will enjoy the hobby.

I knew when I posted that I would get some variation of that type of comeback. In grand scheme yes it's just a toy. Here we are on a wrestling toy forum posting our thoughts. Bottom line i would just like a level playing field. So everyone has a fair chance to buy all the wrestling figures they want in store or online. So you want every store to have unlimited stock of every wrestling figure ever made, just so that everyone can always get every wrestling figure they want? That's very unrealistic. If that's not what you mean, then what exactly do you mean by "level playing field" and "fair chance"? Level playing field = No Exclusives.

It's not about being but hurt about not finding "obscure" figures in stores. It is, I am a wrestling fan. I like wrestling enough that I want to buy a figure of a male or female character. This "chase" concept is taking away the fun of buying wrestling figures. Scalpers come in and snatch up anything they can resell for a 700% markup. Then what do I do if I can't buy the figure I would like to buy ?Either pay the scalper prices or just give up and quit collecting altogether. Neither of these options are good for mattel or the wrestling fan long term. Your best option is to not have it. Its a toy, not a necessity. As others have said, people getting Maximus Buttimus Hurtimus about figures of obscure characters shows that this chase concept is working. I just want to update that my walmart in question that I had given up on put out the sidekick display today.
I got done with work early today and went to this wally world and was able to buy a whole set of 5.
I think there was a whole extra set leftover but I am not greedy so I left the rest.
It's actually nice when I can buy new wwe figures in a store for a change.
Mods you can lock up this up if you want.

Mattel has nothing to do with this. Another post here showed that Hasbro transformers had the same problem. This particular issue seemd to have stemmed from Deville's skirt. Presumably, Target and Mattel have collectively decided it's not worth pulling the few figures that are skirtless.. (or have managed to pull the skirtless ones). E71 was never officially street dated by Target or Mattel, according to both companies. Seriously though, has something like this happened to neca, mcfarlane, hasbro, or even jakks ? I can't think of any instance like this.

...has been sitting on the same seven Elite 68 figs for over a month now. Literally, not a single one has sold. They also got a total of 4 cases of them when they first came out. Haven't seen 69 there yet and probably wont. I'd be shocked if they got 70 or Survivor series. Oh, and they never got the Ghostbusters set either. Had to drive 20 min to get that. I have 5 walmart stores in my area, 0 got ghostbusters so I still don't have them. I may just give up on getting them, it can always get worse.

I mean seriously is almost 2020 and people who want to actually still buy wrestling figures at the number 2 retailer in the USA can not.
#WWEFireMattel
Life should not be this hard in this regard.

I called 2 different target stores today, both looked like they got cases in according to popfindr. One is 70 miles away, the other is 90 miles in opposite directions. I was polite and asked if they could name off what was on the shelf. The target employees where as helpful as they could be. Both stores the 2 different target associates only name a few figures and no overstock. One store is suppose to have 12 and the other is suppose to have 19. Both stores jumped by 8 in the last 2 days. So now is target holding or pulling the cases or something ?? I am just flabbergasted. Thanks to this recall or whatever the hell. I can't even have a slim chance of finding these damn Chase figures. This is just utter nonsense and bullcrap. They might have gotten cases and people bought the figures but the number didn't go down because they had to be manually entered at checkout. Well if that's the case, hopefully target does not correct it and sales nosedive because on hands are all wrong. Anything to end this Chase bullsheet will work for me.

I hate these Chase exclusives with every fiber in my being.
Scalpers are loving them and having a field day.
Thank you Mattel for creating this unnecessary and terrible environment.
Paige and Ohno going for 800% markup on eBay right now.
Yes I am going to keep posting on this thread to show this is ridiculous.

I have like 5 Walmarts in my town and none of them stock Elites anymore, just basics. Has anyone seen this before? There isn't even space for elites. The answer is very simple. 1. The store in question has not sold enough of the elites to warrant them to continue to sell them. 2. There are too many people stealing figures and/repacking them. 3. The store in question is not as big as other supercenter stores and has limited space. So its probably a small town just big enough to have a walmart, but barely.
