Steve,
I Miss you on here. Monday Night Wars figures seem to be doing great since getting sets from Walmart is not readily available. Hopefully, this will be easier for us, and you and Walmart will make more money! I am rooting for you! With Muta and some of the other characters you are making from WCW is it plausible that the WCW ring entrance becomes available again? I would also be interested in a WCW desk and a WCW Interview space. Possible??

Steve,
When applicable ... Would you and Bill, in the future, consider creating a head with molded permanent glasses? For example, Big Bossman, Bret Hart, Macho Man, Jim Cornette, IRS, Gorilla Monsoon, Sgt Slaughter, etc ... with alternate heads with permanent glasses? You guys have done a great job of having removable glasses ... but for posing or even "playability" they come off rather easily and this might give a reason to collect with a permanent look in addition to what you made. Just a thought.

Steve,
I have a few questions I would like to learn about please. If WWE signs a legend and you decide to make this figure, does the entire process (design, make, ship, and distribute) have to occur while the Legend is still under contract? If no - does that mean you can release and the time you like or are you confined to do it within the timelines? If yes, it seems like it puts a ton of pressure on you to create multiple versions of the legend to seize the moment and what does that do to the flow of what you already had in the works?
As a long time fan of figures in general I was also curious if you had to rate cost from most expensive to least what goes into a figure I would be curious? Sculpt? Tooling? Nolding the figure? Paint? Clothes? Packaging? I am just fascinated. Thanks

I think it is obvious that they have to make the main stays ... but to me adding one first in the Line figure makes it more appealing. Steve Mongo McMichael, Kevin Sullivan etc ... Ted Turner and Vince Mcmahon. Tank Abbott. Dennis Rodman, Mike Tyson, Karl Malone, Shaq, Koko B Ware. Sabu, Great Muta, Jim Cornette.

A lot of the guys I mentioned were main event guys. Many are in the Hall of Fame. They made the Red Rooster?? They made Gobbley Gooker which was not even a wrestler. With Mattel Creations it gives them an option to do limited runs or let the people talk with their wallets instead of NEGATIVE HARD TO KILL stalker worry about peg warmers. If enough people buy them they get made. If not they don't. Give the option and see what money comes in. Why not?

I will continue to say ... the scale elite WWE are the best figures out there. The sculpts, the size, the clothes and the massive selection are awesome. I love not only the sculpts and passion from Bill ... but the passion from Steve and his interaction with the fans on the forum! Amazing! Per their words, and I believe them ... they want to do as many legends as possible. This excites me. I love WWE and from a business perspective I give them credit to weathering storms throughout the years and succeeding but when you absorb history you are also responsible to honor history. They do it with the Hall of Fame ... but not so much with figures and I think there is where the problem is. I have a massive collection. I used to have every LJN. I had every Hasbro and galoob. Then I had all of the Jaaks figure which had a massive wide assortment.
it's hard to see smaller companies get the rights to these wrestlers and not Mattel/WWE. First in the line Wrestlers that were accessible would really excite me.
Killer Khan Kevin Sullivan Pedro Morales One Man Gang Barbarian Haku Dory Funk Jerry Briscoe Bruiser Brody Stan Hansen Abdullah The Butcher Billy Jack Haynes El Gigante or Giant Gonzales Crush Adam Bomb Montie Repo Man Outback Jack Tony Atlas Crusher Blackwell Mr Fuji Ivan Putski Sabu Dick The Brusier The Crusher Ken Patera Dino Bravo Jimmy Snuka (Updated) Jessie Ventura Ernie Ladd Koko B Ware Genius Ole Anderson Dick Murdock David Von Erich Wahoo McDaniel Tommy Rich Ox Baker Great Muta Adrian Adonis Adrian Street Boogie Woogie Man Nick Bockwinkel Black Jack Lanza Black Jack Mulligan Bobo Brazil Buddy Rogers Jay Strongbow Baron Von Raschke Killer Kowalski The Fridge Gordon Solie Antonio Inoki Mil Mascaras Mike Tyson Carlos Colon Rock and Roll Express Midnight Express Jeff Jarrett Andy Kaufman
That would excite me for years to come

Do you still have the rights to Harley Race? If so, is it possible to do him as a WCW wrestler and manager?

I saw them in the store about a month ago and was surprised I didn't get mine already from the pre-order. So, logically I passed on them at the store because I had already ordered. MISTAKE! Pre-order means nothing anymore. Just like Walmart. We are going backward and getting punished for ordering ahead. What a mess.

Steve, When are the preorder issues with Walmart going to be corrected? UE Eddie and Rey have been delayed until September. It’s frustrating for a couple of reasons. People have been finding them in stores since July. Walmart also ends up cancelling many preorders leaving us to find on the secondary market. Why is this always a mess? I definitely hear you. The team who manages this is actively trying to improve things and I’ll keep passing on all issues and feedback to them. If this gets fixed from Walmart so we all have a chance to order these items and know we will get them will achieve a win win win for all of us. Thanks for passing this on to help all. Would Meijer's or Costco or any other retail store be willing to carry other legends and brands?

YES. I can tell, based on what Mattel says over and over if they are available Mattel will make them. I love the WWE but when they wanted to own it all - all of the history - that garners a lot of responsibility - which is what they wanted and can be translated into money. When they own a lot of the libraries of legends, it seems it would behoove them to make a wider assortment of Legends that would attract more collector's, introduce the history of those legends to kids, etc ...
To me there is an army - a massive army of legends left that I would like to see Mattel and WWE make. Although I applaud other lines for trying to capitalize on Legends that Mattel/WWE is not making... it would be better for the overall brand to create the whole legend world. Use that contract to do signings, figures, books and video games that would help both the individual wrestler, the companies and of course the fans.

So sad for how much Walmart and Mattel are losing but not having advanced pre-sales and keep taking them for at least a month - make the order - stick to it - anticipate more for what will be on the shelves and $$$$$$$$ bank. Make the collectors happy, everyone. Does not seem that hard. Mattel isn’t losing money, Walmart is for not stocking properly. Mattel probably gets their money before figures are even made. I have no true idea Walmart's model. All I know is that there are a lot of us that are frustrated because we order and wait - then they cancel. Or we can't even order because they are gone within a few hours or a day. Seems they are not doing all justice or maxing their potential. Frustrated customers are never a good thing either.

Are you talking about the 5 items pinned to the top of the page? They’re pinned to the top every board, not just Mattel. And some other lines do make it like Storm figures or the Major Podcast figs. Anything that RSC wants to promote gets pinned to the top of the page. Yes. I was talking about that. I was curious as to why some and not others? Or even why any other on a Mattel page. As a collector, the more the merrier, but I didn't know the rationale why some and not others

I am not against it but I was wondering why Jazzwares was on the Mattel WWE site? If they are included (which is great) why is not power town wrestling with Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen and those figures or the new Zombie figures with Brian Pillman and King Kong Bundy? Or the smaller retro ones? Would it not behoove both companies working in conjunction with Ringside? If Mattel or should I say WWE will not get a legends deal with Brody, Stan Hansen or other WWE Hall of Famers would it not serve Ringside and the collectors here to have other options and know about them? Or is it a conflict of interest and if so why is Jazzwares okay but not the others? I have nothing in it but being a collector who wants as many of the legends as possible and to me ... first come first serve. Case and point ... When Kerry Von Erich was made by Mattel I bought both versions but when Powertown came out with Kerry I did not need that. So just curious how that works. Thank you

Target is so much smarter than Walmart when it comes to these action figures! Walmart is missing out on a lot of money. Oh well ... congrats to Target. Sad for us loyal collectors who keep missing out. Can't believe RVD is already unavailable from Walmart. No way you can get Bischoff, JBL, Guerreo, Torrie, Rey or now RVD from Walmart on-line. Pathetic!

Steve,
I love how target has exclusives (legends) that you can order from their website. We know Walmart has had problems in the past but they still continue. I know it's not YOU - but from a marketing and financial matter, there are untapped monies for Walmart and Mattel for us trying to get these figures like Bischoff, JBL, Torrie Wilson. Since you can't control what Walmart does ... is there a way to find another way to get these particular figures out to Ringside? Mattel Creations? WWE? Even if they have a different look? While you have the licensing for them can you please do that so us passionate collectors don't have to go to scalpers hell ... (which I won't do)? Thanks for all you do

Why are these not on Walmart online? If so ... why don't they follow through with the order?
