They made 2 Steamboats which are both great!
Does Mattel look at these threads? I hear they do but wonder if it helps them in anyway shape or form. Does anyone know?
Love the legends elite and hope they keep making them from 70's on ...

I love the interviews and the teases as to what will come. Way to go Bill! I loved the passion of the gentleman (name escapes me from Jakks) who had such a passion and obsession to get not just WWF/WWE figures but WCW - NWA and figures from all era's and organizations. I think Bill has that same passion and the WWE encyclopedia that includes everybody gives us hope that more unique elites will be made. More of the greats from all time will be produced.
What a coo to get:
Magnum TA - Macho Man - Ricky Steamboat - Harlem Heat etc ...
Will they be able to redo Jimmy Superfly Snuka in the more classic pose?
More of the classic 80's - 90's stuff?
More Hall of famers like Bob Backlund, Jesse Ventura - Superstar Graham - Putski - Stan Hansen - Haley Race
Classics - DIck The Bruiser - Killer Khan - Gorgeous George - Crusher Blackwell - King Kong Brusier Brody!?? Ole Anderson (needs to stop bashing everybody - everybody needs a love fest and make his figure)
The fight to get Goldberg, Steiners, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy?
Mattel's Elite scale size - scans, molds and articulation is by far the best and if we keep making them my massive display of jakks will be boxed and put into a closet and only Mattel Elites will be on display. Keep diversifying this line please with older legends from everywhere and new ones. Thank you

Skinner would be great!
Other figures that were good characters but also looks good for a figure would be:
Killer Khan Muta Samba Simba (Tony Atlas) Berzerker King Harley Race Wild Samoans Jesse Ventura Mountie One Man Gang Billy superstar graham warlord barbarian abdullah the butcher
Then the other stars that I hope are still made
Bob Backlund Harley Race regular Steiners Rocky Johnson Ken Patera Crusher blackwell Dick the bruiser Ivan Putski British bulldogs Funks Briscoes etc ....

This line has massive potential to create a multitude of characters by mixing and matching. Hope they keep thinking how these can go to make figures for legends this way that might not sell in the other lines.

Yes give the average - heightened and way out there in each pack. That way you could really justify a lot of these assortments

Are the create a figures selling well? I wonder if more continued diversity in that lineup could help us make figures that helps us get around some of the challenges that you might have in getting people or licensing? Meaning Superstar Billy Graham - Jessie Ventura - don Murraco all could have tie-dye shirts and could create a solid muscular figure based on those guys. Or a Killer Khan type that could also be a barbarian - Warlord etc ... Baron Von Raschke or some of the older characters like a Harley Race - another Jimmy Snuka type that we could make into Jimmy Snuka. I like the creativity of the line but mixing and matching head sculpts that resemble with different bodies might get around some issues as long as their other bodies are on other figures. So you can have the plain trunk wrester - long trunk wrestler and a character type.
Finally, I don't miss the stomach joint on these create a figures. Actually I like it more! The leg and hip joints adds diversity in posing and is the selling point for me. FYI if this saves you money it's worth exploring in my opinion.

I love the idea of CREATING A WWE SUPERSTAR figure line but am intrigued with the possibilities of the ability to make REAL characters with different head and body sculpts in this line. For example, the odds of Bruiser Brody or Crusher Blackwell being made by Mattel are not likely. But with different boots and different body types with a bearded man with long hair could create both of those guys. The same could be true with Ty dye pants and shirts with different body types and head sculpts. It could be Jesse the Body - Billy Graham - Don Morocco. Indians could be Tanaka - Wahoo Mcdaniel, Jay Strongbow etc ... Cowboys with vests could be Stan Hansen, Black Jack Mulligan, Dory Funk, Magnum TA etc ... BARBARIANS - The Barbarian - Warlord - Killer Khan etc ..
I Love that they are making more Legends - especially with the new WWE network. I ask that they consider putting at least 1 new legend and 1 new we superstar per elite line. Preferably more originals then Cena 200, Orton 195, Triple H 150 etc ... Yes the main stays have to go in but these new players really freshens the lines. I like they are making the new British Bulldog, Jimmy Snuka, but will love new legends too.
thanks

I love the Mattel elite figures scale size and especially the legends! I agree 100 percent with the moderator that the different paint of camouflage of Sgt Slaughter or Snuka in his classic bare feet and shorts - Road Warriors in Red Shoulder pads etc would have been more true to the LEGEND look! I find it hard to believe that Jakks had such a success with legends and made so many and Mattel which has so much more ammunition can't do it. I also feel that the Matty Collector is not built up enough to get a huge fan base. Not enough people know about it.
I remember when I saw the first line of the old WWE LGN figures I wasn't impressed and didn't get any ... when I saw it had legs and was making more I started collecting all of them!
I collected all of Hasbro too and think that thus far (as far as assortment diversity) Jakks is still the best but Mattel has a shot if they keep inserting a flashback Legend in every assortment. Thank you for your time. Repaints could be a WWE or Ringside exclusive.
