This is a forum were we should give our opinions. As a buyer of LJN's, Hasbro's, Galoobs, Jakks and now Mattel I am a clearly a great supporter, a fan, and have spent a small fortune. Please note this:
-If people like this line I am happy for them. -I wish that reciprocation would be for the many of us who like legends and flashbacks. -If people compliment bad lines so they don't have to spend money - well okay. That philosophy could be the demise of the lines we love and the reason we are on this forum. If I am the business producing the product I wouldn't be pleased with all of those statements and if the lines don't do well it jeopadizes potentially everything. -I don't need to be taught with my experience in buying figures for over 40 years that the current wrestlers will sell in mass better than unique, flasback, legend figures. Or NEW wrestlers. -So let's break down the figures:
Big E has been made as an elite 3 times prior to this one (including the 3 pack) with not that much difference then the now. (You can get him for 13 dollars on ebay) Kevin Owens has had 2 elites done pretty much the same in looks within the last 2 years. (You can get him for 13 dollars on e-bay) The Miz has had many many elites nothing new (from 4.95 up to buy an elite Miz on ebay) Alexa Bliss they have made recently (14.99 you can buy on ebay) Jerico is the only one with a new look and gimmick that would potetnially warrant a NEW figure Heath Slater is a jobber with elites already made. Nothing exciting about him as a wrestler a figure and that would be like making the Brooklyn Brawler over and over and over and Brrokly Brawler at least has a better look.
So what if they had a few of the new guys that have been featured on WWE for quite some time: The Hardy's (New)? Kurt Angle new? Goldberg new? JInder? Booby Rhoode? Jack Gallagher? Bryan Kendrick? Would all be NEW Current Elites! Mix with the old legends and flashbacks and put some of these guys in like the Miz and Jerico and you please more people in MY OPINION!

Elites are what I love. I look forward to this line so much especially because of the Legend figures that come with this line. I understand they have to make a gazillion Cena's etc ... but this line has no legends. Nothing new nor spectacular other than maybe Jerico. Really dissapointed and hope I am not alone and hope Mattel makes more legends.

The best? Too many to mention. Great job!
The worst" Jimmy Superfly Snuka. They went out of their way to make this one look bad. Not the norm look for an icon. I think they could do better with Piper too.

Thanks PJ, that sounds a lot like me. I used to watch wrestling with my dad too. Wrestling at the Chase in St. Louis. Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Dick the Bruiser, Baron Von Rachke, Andre the Giant, Ric Flair etc ... So having them on display brings back memories for me. I have a huge office over a 3 car garage and am running out of space. But I collect sports figures, Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, DC and Movie figs so that is why I like this site to see fellow wrestling collectors.
Any word on Bill from Mattel?
Thank you Heroes! Where is the link please? Thank you

I have a confession to make. I would buy all of the 70's and pre, 80's and 90's elite figures. So when I see some say I would buy these 6 but not the rest it shows how sick I am. I wish they had these figures back in the 70's and 80's so hope with the WWE Network and Mattel they will make them. I am perplexed that Eric Bischoff is higher in this poll than he was in the 90's. He actually didn't make the top ten in the 90's but because there was an overwheliming vote for the Barbarian and Haku in both the 80's and 90's I didn't duplicate them. I'm surprised with the poll but that is why you do it. To see what my fellow collectors like and want. One last thing ... does Bill from Mattel come here? I have not seen him latley on Ringside or interacting with the fans for some time. Love the scale and Elites and hope more and more legends come.

Why would the Mountie never be made? And out of this list who else would be difficult to be made due to lawsuits, death, bitterness, lack of desire from Mattel or WWE, rights etc ... and why? Please inform me and thank you.

Thanks for all your votes. I have compiled the top 10 for 70's and pre- the top 10 of the 80's and 90's for you to decide the top 10. You pick your top 15 and we will see the most wanted elite figures not made yet. Note: Barbarian and Haku was in the top 10 in the 80's and 90's so I did not duplicate them. I look forward to your results.

Elite only, cut down on a duplicate of a figure - however that is tough because different versions have their pros and cons. Get a larger display room. I am running out fo room and I have a ton of space.

As of right now if voting ended. (note top 15 – some are ties which make for more than 15)
Top 15 of each 70’s and pre -
1. Harley Race (65) 2. Superstar Billy Graham (61) 3. Bob Backlund (58) 4. Bruiser Brody (51) 5. Jessie Ventura (51) 6. Greg Valentine (45) 7. Stan Hansen (41) 8. Gorilla Monsson (38) 9. Abdullah the Butcher (30) 10. Fabulous Moolah (29) 11. Pat Paterson (26) 12. Ivan Koloff (25) 13. Antonio Inoki (25) 14. Buddy Rogers (21) 15. Dory Funk Jr. (19) 16. Pedro Morales (19)
Top 15 80’s
1. Scott Steiner (59) 2. Rick Steiner (55) 3. Haku (48) 4. Hercules (42) 5. Barbarian (41) 6. Dynamite kid (39) 7. One Man Gang (39) 8. The Great Muta (38) 9. Koko B Ware (37) 10. Gorilla Monsoon Announcer (32) 11. Jim Cornette (31) 12. Jessie the Body Announcer (31) 13. Rock and Roll Express (27) 14. Fabulous Freebirds (26) 15. Bad News Brown (25) 16. Dino Bravo (25)
Top 15 90’s
1. Owen Hart (67) 2. Raven (55) 3. Taz (50) 4. Haku (49) 5. Adam Bomb (48) 6. Ahmed Johnson (42) 7. Jeff Jarrett (42) 8. Chynna (41) 9. Barbarian (39) 10. Crush (38) 11. Eric Bischoff (38) 12. Sabu (38) 13. The Mountie (36) 14. Tommy Dreamer (elite) 15. Bob Backlund (32) 16. Chris Benoit (32) 17. Giant Gonzales (32)
Surprises about the 90’s
The Biggest surprise to me is that Bob Backlund, Chris Benoit and Giant Gonzales barely get in. That Chynna and Adam Bomb are so high up. Kevin Sullivan and Dino Bravo so low Samba Simba and Skinner would make for good figures but so far out.
Surprises about the 80’s
-Ronnie Garvin (although perhaps a plain figure was the former champion) -Nikita Koloff and Ivan with all of the Russian hoopla were hated back then and would think they would still be today. Good look for figures. -Don Muraco was a pretty good heel. Tye Dye shirt would be a cool looking figure. -Kevin Sullivan was demonic and a good heel.
Surprised Koko B Ware made the list. Not a real threat to win any big matches although in the Hall of Fame. For whatever reason. Adrian Street would make a great figure but understand.
Monsoon and Ventura make it as announcers over wrestlers
Surprises about the 70’s
-Baron Von Rachke such a bad guy. The German villain. Fun figure this would be with the iron klaw and cape.
-Dick the Bruiser the world’s most dangerous man. I understand it could be a boring figure but iconic tough guy and so low on the voting.
-Surprised that Jerry Briscoe has more votes than his Heavyweight champion brother Jack Briscoe.
Bobo and Big Cat Ernie Ladd don’t have more votes.
-I think Killer Khan would make for such a great figure and never been done before “broke Andre the Giant’s ankle” and would scream like a banshee when he inflicted chops and kicks.
-Not sure what the appeal to Pat Patterson is?
-Rocky Johnson electric performer father of the Rock. Hall of Famer. One of the big deals. Not in.
-The Sheik was a bad dude. Villain and good looking figure.
