Big horror fan here. I just saw the terrible news that Joe Pilato, otherwise known as Captain Rhodes of "Day of the Dead" passed away on the 24th. I am in absolute shock and saddened quite a bit about this. Did not ever expect to stumble across the news. The crazy part about this is the day he passed away and I had a custom order being made for me and it was completed on the 24th, the day he died. I had hoped to meet him one day and show him this piece but now I will never get that opportunity which extremely sucks. He is one of my favorite characters in zombie cinema history, great actor. Here is the figure I had made of him. I salute you Joe Pilato. Rest in Peace 1949 - 2019.

Definitely a must see, especially since he NEVER does these.

Who remembers the WWF Ring Masters line, produced by Playmates in 1997? I remember as a collector in the late 90's to early 2000's, I had all of these but could never find the last two of the line, those being Andre the Giant & Stone Cold Steve Austin. It wasn't until a short time after that I found out online that they were both never released. I have been looking for both of these for the past 20 years, never expecting to find them. A few days ago, I got the message I was always waiting for...I now own the Unreleased Original Wax Prototypes of Andre the Giant & Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now if I could only find the Justoys Adam Bomb & Dink, as well as the stretch wrestlers of Razor Ramon, Diesel & Doink...

I was expecting it SHOULD command around that price range (or more). Considering it was essentially 100% unknown to even exist until just now, and the price of other crazy prototypes, why not? Assuming all the bids are real, I'm more surprised Doink went for so much less! Agreed. After Luger sold first, I assumed Doink would get around the same price. If you look at the bid history, the winner of the Luger was outbid on the Doink auction.

Holy crap...Luger went for $8100. I can say that I NEVER expected that. WOW. What a price.

he said doinks arms come off like a proto & another reply from the seller : I just compare him with the normal product. This prototype has different head. Thinner cheeks and bigger neck. He should post pics of that. That would be very important.

I forgot to mention but it must be addressed. The paint application on the Lex Luger is very sloppy. Those stars look as though a child painted them on. A lot of customizers I know can do much better than that. Would Hasbro have hired someone who puts forth that kind of effort?

his reply when i asked how he got them I acquired them in early 90's from a source close to the mold-testing workshop of some Chinese factory making figures for Hasbro. But see, is he saying "early" 90's because the copyright on the back says 1991? These would have been made in 1994 or 1995.

I'm not sure what to make of it but I can confirm that they are NOT resin. A few of my friends requested pictures of the bottom of the boots which the seller has now added. If they were indeed resin, the boots would NOT have holes which they do. Also, a resin cannot have a copyright marking on a back, since a paint master wouldn't have one, Lex Luger does. Also, I am aware of Doink the Clown not having the markings on the back....however, is it possible that this seller repainted a regular Red Card series Luger and repainted a legit Test Shot Prototype of Doink? Reason I ask is because look at the coloring around the holes on the new picture he added. That is the exact color the boots are on the actual test shot. Makes you wonder...

Just had an incredible package delivery. Fed-Ex Express just dropped off these Gems. I did a trade with another top collector a few days ago...and got these in return. First up, a WWF Series 1 Hasbro Big Boss Man Green Tag Standard. For those who don't know, these were basically pre-production and were for employees to check if the figures were ready for production. This one did not meet the quality control as the note on the back of the tag basically says that the mention of Big Boss Man being in the tag team "The Twin Towers", must be removed from all the bios on the card back. This one came from the same lot that Zack Ryder purchased. ...And last but not least, the figure that started it all with the WWF Hasbro License. A WWF Hasbro Series 1 Hand-Painted Resin Paint Master Prototype of Hulk Hogan, both graded and authenticated. Completely stoked about this one! Absolutely thrilled with this mail-day.

amazing! if this a new find? cant remeber seeing it before. Yes, it was on eBay for a huge asking price. I eventually got a hold of the seller and we talked about it. I put it on hold and ended up buying my WWF Superstars Series 1 BCA Razor Ramon Resin Prototype from him and then after that agreed to a deal on the side for this one.

Not Mattel but definitely my crown jewel. A WWF Hasbro Rhythm & Blues Greg Valentine Prototype figure, in a display case hand signed by Greg Valentine himself with photographs of him signing the case and a picture of him "holding" the figure.
