This is kind of off topic but I always wished they'd have re-released him with a painted torso. I always used to hate cloth singlets on the bigger guys because the straps would always slide down to the shoulder joint.

I'm inclined to agree about not hotshotting guys to the top immediately, however Strowman was different. Strowman was an attraction. He was like Big John Studd with athleticism, and his personality as a monster who couldn't be stopped lent itself perfectly to a quick rise and title reign. He should've beaten Brock with his MITB for the belt. Yeah I'm sure people would've gotten sick of him as a face, but he was H-O-T-T hot at the time. EVERYONE wanted to see him win, even more than they wanted Seth. His reign would've been like Goldberg's or Brock's, one that really makes you think "who will actually beat this guy?" Aside from the Fiend they really don't have anyone else like that today.
But the ship has sailed. Braun is a special kind of superstar. Attractions become less special every time you see them, and now he's been around for about 5 years, only now winning his first singles title. He's still popular, and could easily be pushed back to the main event, but he's been diminished in the eyes of the fickle fickle fickle audience. Worst of all he's been booked nearly to Big Show oblivion with quick, senseless heel and face turns. A title win for him will never mean anything close to what it once did, and at this point is pointless barring several top level guys becoming injured at once.
And this is coming from a big Braun fan.

Time for Hogan to get that win back after losing his final match to Sting in TNA...

They had all of the Goldberg series and Bryan from the previous series yesterday at one that I only hit because I was traveling. Also the basic set with Riddle. The ones out here.... They had MOTU Balor, Basic Rubys, other warmers, no Elites.

Half the time they have none, the other half I'm surprised what I find. I always check out of morbid curiosity. The I went to one last week that had like 12 Ellsworth, but one I went to today had Randy Orton, Shayna (belt stolen), Balor, Big Cass, and WCW Rey. Its a crapshoot

I never liked Mattel's attempts at Hogan. I get that the bodies are mass produced and have to be used elsewhere, but the heads never looked like Hogan. The only one that came close was E34/Wrestlemania Basic, the current one. The DM looks terrible, and the American Made isn't much better. Mattel seems to have the same problem capturing Hogan's likeness as they do Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels, one decent head among a bunch of bad ones
I'd say the Storm Hulk Rules version is the definitive Hogan at this scale, specifically the closed mouth head. It looks great and has the size and skin tone right. I hate the bandana though. Storm did a pretty lousy job on them with the placement of the Hulkamania. It should be right at the edge.
I still hope Mattel does a Hulk Still Rules version though, because I thought the Storm versions of that look were awful. I'd take a Hollywood too just because the head and face on the boots of the Storm version don't really do it for me. I'd like to see what they can do with it and decide from there. But as for golden era, yellow and red Storm obliterates Mattel's lousy attempts.

Just to chime in here, the thing I hate most is a lack of consistency. In earlier Rumbles, eliminated competitors came back in and tossed the guy who eliminated him out and it didn't count (the example I remember best is Vader in 96 who cleared the ring after being eliminated by HBK. Everyone who got tossed out by Vader was allowed to re-enter. Now they count as eliminations.

3-2-1. That $#!t really needs to stop. I know Vince wrote a book on what it means to be a babyface, but as evidenced by stars getting over strong elsewhere you don't necessarily need to have an incredibly lame catchphrase to get people behind you.
I'm psyched that he won btw, and am going to be behind him, but every time he does the countdown I'm taken to cringeplex city. Bonus demerits for the pander/kip up combo. He just needs to be the rampaging Scottish Psychopath that he was before, only destroy heels instead.

He seems like a nice guy. In a perfect world I'd love for him to be able to wrestle wherever he wants as Chris Benoit Jr. In a perfect world he'd be able to do so, and to use that amazing OLP song as his theme.
Sadly this isn't a perfect world. I'd love for him to be able to do it and kind of clean the Benoit name a little. If he wants to....he should be allowed to try. It'll be an EXTREMELY uphill battle though. Most (if not all) companies would find that tantamount to presenting Adolf Hitler Jr., Bill Cosby Jr., or Aaron Hernandez Jr. Name issue aside, the expectations of being the son of one of the top 2 or 3 technical professional wrestlers of all time would probably drown him as well. I'd say it's nearly impossible that something like this would get off the ground other than at some outlaw period blood show held at the No Holds Barred bar in front of a handful of lowlifes.
But let's play devil's advocate for a second. If he were to be allowed to do this, how would it play out? Forget sponsors and TV execs, we've somehow gotten past them. How would this work? There's a slim chance that it could. If there are enough people who at least aren't going to form a lynch mob at the very thought of it then there's a chance. There is a contingent of fans who still want Benoit in the Hall of Fame. There's a much larger contingent that agree that he should be wiped forever. I feel like there are a lot of people who are more towards the middle. They have less extreme feelings, and would sort of settle one way or the other when faced with this scenario. If enough people land on the 'eh, I...guess' to positive side, it could work.
I figure he has to come in as a heel, and he better be a damn good wrestler. I'm talking strong style, tight, submission heavy. Promo-wise he'd have to not comment on his father and react extremely violently any time someone did. He'd have to be a total psycho until the initial shock and fever dream novelty wore off. And it would. People would become desensitized to it just like we've all collectively become desensitized to violence in the media. He would eventually win people over to the point that he could turn face. In a perfect world it would be an incredible story of redemption, one that would only work in professional wrestling. Fallen hero turned public enemy number one destroys legacy, son uses the same grit and determination that father used to become a legend to restore the name Benoit in wrestling.
This is of course completely hypothetical. Dude will have enough trouble trying to be David Benoit, let alone Chris Benoit Jr. It'll never get passed the networks, the media would have a field day. Regardless of your opinion however it's a very intriguing idea.

Is the game worth it? It's dirt cheap for the deluxe edition on Xbox right now and I am tempted, but hated 2K19. Worth it? As someone who only bought this a few weeks ago, and only because it was dirt cheap on the psn if you hated 19 you will hate this even more. It's the exact same game only horribly broken and twice the size with all of the patches that still haven't fixed the problems.

Big Show 2002-2003 singlet top, pants, fu manchu, military haircut. He looks like a security guard who spilled mustard on his shirt and is standing around waiting for the wash to finish.

Yes, I've done it like 9 times. It always finds a way of creeping back up, albeit slower every time. Harley Race was the last straw. Most of it went after that, but I got sidetracked and stopped selling stuff (and picked up three or four (literally) Elites in moments of weakness, usually on trips. Next time I move, none of this $#!t is making the trip.

The only decent Macho head is E23. No others really look anything like him. They either look like Jimmy Garvin or Lanny Poffo. They need to use that one, and resize all of the accessories to fit it. In my setup the Legends Macho King currently barely has the crown and glasses on.

I heard. This is devastating. Far and away the hardest music death that I've ever experienced. Tom Petty was hard, but this is another universe. I feel numb. It's almost like losing a family member.

NWA won't sell as well. I definitely wouldn't buy one. King or nothing for me. I really hope they don't release an NWA version before a rerelease. It would warm and they would use it as justification to never rerelease the King.

Bryan. I really never saw anything in Punk except a mediocre douchebag with a gigantic ego who was good, but not great, on the mic. When I first saw Bryan I expected to feel the same way considering how much everyone expected him to be this huge sensation. Bryan won me over pretty quickly. With his intensity and ability to laugh at himself when necessary he reminded me a lot of Kurt Angle, who is probably my favorite and in my opinion the greatest of all time. I could always get into Bryan's storylines, even as the GM. Punk, literally the only thing that wasn't a channel changer for me was the SES.
As for why Bryan is bigger? Punk had the Summer of Punk, but never reached that level of popularity again. Yeah people chanted, but it was a vocal minority, much like Cena sucks chants it was mostly the 20-30 year olds. The Yes Movement at its height spanned 6 months, and EVERYBODY was involved. Lots of people like Punk, but far more love Daniel Bryan.
As for Punk's supposed crossover appeal, I don't count his embarrassing attempt at MMA crossover appeal. He's popular with WWE fans and WWE/MMA fans. Pure MMA fans likely didn't get behind him. It's not like he's the Rock, so I really think his star power has been greatly exaggerated. Maybe that 'crossover appeal' makes a difference, but if you count the fans that either turned on Punk or never liked him to begin with it'll even out a bit. I see Bryan as not just bigger, but much bigger.

I cant stand him. He's talented, but extremely bland, and terrible look. They clearly want the next big Latin superstar, but this guy isn't it. I'd look to Andrade first. Sure he doesn't speak English very well, but at least he has personality. And, the more Zelina the better (don't break them up). I'm hoping his push goes the way of poor Cedric's.
