Also, what's "Taboo" about Tuesdays? To me, it's a boring, mundane long work day where the weekend is still a pipedream. Computers aren't forbidden, or "taboo." I think it's more taboo to not use a computer, even in 2004-2005.

Surprised nobody mentioned this. Much like their change from The Great American Bash to The Bash, this was a similar idea for the ill-fated second installment... (Sorry for the crude photo editing. Used app on my phone)

It was a strange time to be a Warrior fan. He had just vanished yet again and there was no explanation for it. You'd have him in some sporadic advertising into the first few months of 1993 then that was it. Back then, we had to dig through the PWI mags to get some kind of scoop. I was hoping for Warrior to appear on the U.S.S. Intrepid to slam Yoko in his '91 Rumble gear lol

Hopefully. There should still be a lot of Series 9 & 10 out there since neither set showed up at Walmart & Target. Then all the Five Below stores around here got was Series 8. Series 6 never showed up anywhere either. Why can’t the stores find a bunch of these like they did with the Elite sets that never showed up last year. Found series 9 at Five Below last night. I've never even seen retros at a five below so that was a nice surprise. Where are you located? Chicago area here...just wondering if it's worth making a stop

I've seen some references on Facebook to series 9 being found at Five Below again - has anyone near to one found anything interesting there lately? I havent, but I hope they pop up. It'll bring that green Savage closer to the $15 that it was instead of the $80 it is now. Using these for customs are killing me, smalls.

I also have a spare Tatanka head, so I'm thinking of using the Koko body to make the prototype?

Advice of the day... When life hands you a Koko and headless Razor, you make "The Natural" Butch Reed. Im going with this color scheme as shown in my proto pic. Agree or disagree?

So, I'm having the opposite problem with my Tito Santana. If you put his Elite head on a Retro, he looks like a giraffe. I had that issue with the Raven retro I made. An old WCW Raven head on a Samoa Joe retro body. He looked like a giraffe so I had to drill out the bottom of the head until it was opened up enough to slide down the neck portion fat enough to not look so silly. It turned out pretty good though, you have to glue the head so it doesn’t swivel after So, heres what I do when the head sits too high. I had the same problem with my Tazz which I'm working on. Use a Dremmel tool to shave down the bottom surface of the head. It actually does go down more. Also shave inside the head as well if that doesnt help. If this makes the head really loose, place a little paper towel inside the head hole and it should be more snug.

Thanks brother! I'm about 5-6 figures away from having the entire 2002 roster. Afterwards, I want to customize a Retro Ring into a WrestleMania X8 one.

A shred of good news.. I see the prices have gone down just a bit on Retros on ebay. Not Roman, JYD or Flair, but many of the others. I guess people weren't moving them when prices made them choose between Samoa Joe and food during this crazy time we live in.

Speaking of ECW Almuni, heres another tip...a Retro Bray Wyatt makes a great Tazz with a bit if tweaking. Get yourself some foam paper from Walmart and take a pencil to draw up and cut out a shirt collar. I have all tattoo and attire decals waiting and a Tazz head coming in the mail..

That Hurricane looks awesome. It always bugs me when I’m trying to do one and it ends up looking like it has no neck after doing the head swap Here's a Ravven I'm starting with extra parts. Stone Cold upper body, and Lesnar lower body. I picked up a Jakks head on ebay and will design a shirt decal...

4 more figures will be up tonight. Heres a preview of another future project in the works... Heres a tip...dont ever throw away extra pieces when you're mashing what you need for a custom. Having a spare Ambrose top and Lesnar bottom allowed me to put together a Bret Hart 2010.

It turned out pretty good though, you have to glue the head so it doesn’t swivel after I saw that. It looked good, but there are 2 things I'd do different. Use a Dremmel tool to shorten the neck at the bottom of the Raven head, and make a deeper hole inside the head. I also wouldn't have used the Samoa Joe body. I wouldve gone Cena, or Austin. I say Austin because I could still accomplish a but of a 3D effect with the jean shorts by applying grey primer, then 8-10 coats of blue acrylic. Allow to dry fully before each coat to avoid peeling old layer and promoting a smoother surface. You'll see it slightly raise up. I'll show you with my RVD tonight. Nevertheless, great job. I like bouncing ideas off each others heads. I went old school Rob Conway for my Planet Stasiak because of someone's tip to do so, and it's an awesome figure. Feel free to ask for tips. Keep up the great work! Edit: Check out my next post. Looking at it, I realized that Ambrose/Lesnar mashup would make for a great Raven template I think.
