Apologies if this has already been covered before - I don't venture much from the Mattel/Jakks/Other Brands/Customs sections - Lol!
I have recently obtained a used Playstation 2 (with one 8MB memory card) along with a copy of Fire Pro Returns. I have seen edit/save packs (.max files, .psv files, .cbs files. etc.) online but am quite confused about how to transfer these edit/save packs form my pc to the PS2. The PS2 has two USB ports on the front, but I am unsure if they're functional or not (I would assume they are).
Are there any tutorials or any members here that could give me any advice or pointers on how to install these various edit packs on my PS2?
Thanks to all! MSF

Apologies if this isn't posted in the right place, but I wasn't sure exactly where this should go. I just noticed this listing as one of the matches for WWE's upcoming DVD, "War Games: WCW's Most Notorious Matches" -
Kevin Nash, Buff Bagwell, Syxx & Konnan vs. Ric Flair, Steve McMichael, Chris Benoit & Curt Hennig Fall Brawl – 14th September, 1997
Could this be accurate? After all these years of erasing him from the history books and they go and do this? Sure, it could be edited to death, but then why show it in the first place? With all of the Wargames bouts there have been since it's inception back in 1987, why list this one as one of the first "confirmed" matches? I'm not saying I'm offended by it or anything, I just thought the inclusion of this match was quite odd. I'm curious as to what others think.
EDIT- Dammit, I just now saw that there is an "Official WWE DVD Thread". Sorry 'bout that!

As someone who isn't a big Mattel fan, but IS a huge Nikita mark, I'm floored by how freakin' cool this custom is. It looks tons better than the piss poor version that Jakks made. I'd love to have one of these myself. As someone who doesn't really follow Mattel, could you give me a little more insight as to what steps you took to make it? (head choice, sculpting and/or repainting, etc.). Just flawless work, man. Whoever got this is one lucky dude.

This has been a pretty interesting post. Personally, I had no doubt that it wasn't a prototype, but instead a very nicely done custom. However, reading everyone's theories on what the pose was based on, parts used, whether it's a legit prototype, etc. has been fascinating to follow. Despite how this all ends up, it's been refreshing seeing something like this being discussed respectfully without all of the bitching and bickering that has happened on a few of these other boards recently. Great post, folks.

Yeah this should technically be in the Custom Discussion Thread, but to kind of answer your question, there is a product called Hydroshrink (and Hydrospan) that customizers have used to shrink or enlarge heads. Just run an internet search on "hydroshrink" to find out more.
I haven't personally used it, but I know that some members here do- maybe they will read this and give a little more insight. I do know that it is very time consuming and technical, not to mention expensive which is why it seems that just a handful of top-notch customizers use this process.
Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the comments (and criticisms). There’s not much I can say about everyone’s entry that hasn’t already been said, but here are a few comments of my own anyway:
Crazywrestler’s Hernandez - The skin tones do seem a little off, especially with the hands not being painted at all. I don’t really follow Mattel’s product so I’m not sure who was used, but it looks to be a really good likeness regardless.
WEZ's Mideon - For a first custom, it does look pretty good. The “chunky paint” issue has already been discussed so I won’t harp on it. I’m also a fan of your character choice as I personally enjoyed the Corporate Ministry back in the day. Thank goodness you chose him instead of “Naked Mideon” -Lol!
Gonzo's Barry Windham - Seeing the before and after “WIP" pics shows just how much effort you put into this and it really paid off. From the re-sculpting to the full repaint, just an excellent job overall. I’ve enjoyed all of the Galoob customs that have popped up here recently and yours is no exception. Great job.
Maskedsuperstarfan's Atsushi Onita - I won’t bother commenting on my own entry.
Skunk's Madison Rayne - To echo TAVG’s comments, I’m not sure what all was done as I barely remember what the original figure looked like. The paint job however, is tremendous as always and makes for a spectacular figure.
ChristianEdge's Kevin Steen - Excellent use of a Cena head, and I enjoy seeing “WIP” pics when any type of resculpting or modifying is done. The only drawback is that Steen is a big, chunky dude and the figure really doesn’t reflect that.
Despite the usual, small turnout, I really like how different styles of figures were still showcased (Mattel, Jakks, and Galoob). I just wish more people had submitted an entry - hopefully these Custom Showcases will continue.

Onita could have ladrger eye balls and even brows, but nice head work. Is the only thing painted on the custom the head? I thought about re-doing the eyes, but not to sound racist, I kind of liked how the smaller pupils gave him a distinct "asian" look so I kept it as is. Yes, the head was the only thing that was really modified, and quite a bit went into it, although I don't really have pics to show that. Matching a skin tone was a real pain in the ass, too. The rest is considered more of a fix-up, I suppose. He does look cool standing beside my other Japanese "garbage" wrestlers (Matsunaga, Super Leather, Terry Funk, Cactus Jack, etc.), so I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out.

Your Savage and Magnum customs look awesome! I've been very impressed with all of the Galoob customs that have popped up recently - I wish I had the resources (and time) to do some myself. Great work, man. Keep 'em coming!

Pass, I like the headscan but the rest of it is just standard. Sorry. Agreed. He's way too muscular. Also, I can't justify spending that much for nothing more than a decent headscan. As excited as I was to see an RA figure, I'll have to pass.

My apologies as I realized after the fact that this should probably be in the Custom Discussion Thread. Anyway...
Does anyone here remember a customizer many, many years ago who went by the name Top Rope Kid? This would've probably been back in the mid to late 90's. I seem to recall that he had some awesome Hasbro customs (I don't remember anything from him but Hasbro customs - Jakks may not had even gained the license at that point.)
Back then, I was new to the internet and didn't understand the concept of saving images. For some odd reason, I just now remembered his name and ran an internet search, but came up with nothing.
I wish I could remember more about him, but all I have right now are vague memories - I don't even know why his name popped into my head after all these years. I honestly don't expect anyone here to remember him (I have no idea if he was ever a member here or not, but I doubt it), but if anyone does remember this guy and has pictures of his customs, I'd love to see them again.
Thanks in advance to all. MSF

The turnout for every custom competition we've had thus far has been pretty poor. And I admit that my last entry was pretty lame, but what the hell - I'm in.

I appreciate it, crazywrestler. I had a totally different figure that I had been working on (and still am), but I was rushed for time and assumed the Jan. 26th deadline would've been enforced. So instead, I had to instead submit my Cornette custom, which itself was a bit of a rush job. Had I known it would be almost three weeks later before anything would be posted, I would have focused on completing my original entry instead of my Cornette "fix-up". Lol!

Awesome job on the "zombie" Andre figure. The Target here has the SLUG packs down to $1.18 - worth picking up if you're into them. I just wish they were in scale with the old MUSCLE figures from the 80's. Any plan on modding a "Macho Mangler" aka Hulkster?

Any chance we can just scrap the last 6 pages and start this thread again? Thank you, Bebop! This has really dragged on far too long.

Gonzo, I'm certainly hoping to have something to turn in. Long story, but due to a new job plus many other "real life" issues, I've barley had time to do anything at all with customs, or anything else really. I will certainly try to turn something in on time.

Oh, I really just deal with Jakks figs so I'm not sure, but I think most Jakks heads are a bit large for Mattel bodies. It really depends on who you're looking to customize, I guess. Maybe someone else here can give you a more definitive answer.

Lol - very cool! I would have killed for a ring like that back when I used to have my GI Joe figures wrestle.

Cool looking Sharpe custom (a Blassie head?). I agree with Cymru - you may want to paint the tights to come up a bit more. He wore them pretty high. Not sure about chest hair. "Real" chest hair on a figure most always look horrible, so please use caution if you decide to do it. Yes he was a hairy dude, but not like someone like Dutch Mantel who was one of the hairiest guys to ever step in the ring. It'd be easiest if you could just do a parts swap with, let's say a Tank Abbott torso. Either way, dude, I can't wait to see it.
