The Attitude Project made it 365 days! (Well, 364...) It's something I've wanted to do since I start simming on this board, something like twelve years ago. But hey, the less we talk about time, the better! It's been a rollercoaster of a two year journey, writing 238 shows and dedicating myself to this. It's my favourite piece of work ever, and that's with great certainty. A lot of it was worked on ahead of time, but I actually only got around to finishing WrestleMania X-Seven last month. At its peak, I was probably writing four months ahead of posting schedule. There'll be an epilogue post up in the thread in the next week. After that, who knows? Thanks to everybody that checked it out. Replies are dead, but I'll take pride in seeing 200 hits in a single day for a show being posted. That's just me refreshing your page a bunch of times.

WWF King of the Ring Date: 6/25/1995 From: Philadelphia, PA Attendance: 17,000 Announcers: Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the 1995 King of the Ring and they promote the tournament. Heenan believes that tonight is going to the night where the Movement continues its rise to top and that nobody is going to be able to stop a determined Ron Simmons. Jim Ross predicts that Shawn Michaels is going to put the distractions to the side and walkout as the new king of the WWF! They also talk about the huge tag team main event where Sid teams with Lex Luger to battle WWF World Champion Diesel and WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner. Heenan thinks tonight will be a preview for the future because it’s just a matter of time before Sid and Luger hold the singles titles. Tonight is a huge night and there’s no more time to wait! Opening Contest: Shawn Michaels defeated Jeff Jarrett in 14:55 following superkick to advance in the KOTR Tournament: During the match, Jarrett collided with Norton on the apron and ended up turning around into Sweet Chin Music leading to the victory. Backstage, Owen Hart was interviewed by Todd Pettengill and says that tonight he’s going to continue to show the world that he’s the best Hart and defeat Bret onto his way to the WWF World Championship. Owen is determined to get out of Bret’s shadow once and for all and that will happen tonight. Second Contest: Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in 16:09 with the Sharpshooter to advance in the KOTR Tournament:
Backstage, Ron Simmons is interviewed by Todd Pettengill regarding his upcoming match. Simmons isn’t afraid of the unpredictable Bam-Bam Bigelow. Third Contest: Ron Simmons defeated Bam-Bam Bigelow in 9:34 following a spinebuster to advance in the KOTR Tournament: Backstage, Ted DiBiase, Sid and Lex Luger and interviewed by Todd Pettengill. DiBiase tells Pettengill that tonight is the first step before his men take all the gold from Diesel and Scott Steiner. DiBiase says that winning tonight would ease the pain of Luger’s injured face. Luger has never been the same since losing the WWF World Championship and they will do whatever it takes to regain the gold. Sid chimes in and screams into the camera saying that he’s going to powerbomb Diesel straight to hell. Backstage, Jeff Jarrett is arguing with Scott Norton until Norton shoves Jarrett and tells Jarrett that he’s “sick of your crap.” Jarrett is left sitting on the floor frustrated with Norton’s behavior. Fourth Contest: The Undertaker defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley in 11:42 following a tombstone piledriver to advance in the KOTR Tournament: Late in the match, Taker chokeslammed Helmsley, but Helmsley rolled to the floor and began to walk up the aisle as if to escape the match. However, Randy Savage returned and walked up behind Helmsley. Helmsley bumped into Savage and upon seeing Savage, begged off. However, Savage instead rolled Helmsley back into the ring and Taker hit the tombstone piledriver for the win. After the match, Savage walked off intensely while Helmsley remained laid out. Backstage, Todd Pettengill conducted an interview with the Kid and Marty Jannetty. Jannetty says they know they are the underdogs, but you can never count an underdog out. Kid chimes in and says that tonight they are prepared to shock the world and bring the Movement to a screeching halt tonight. Fifth Contest: WWF Tag Team Champions Carlos Vega & Tatanka defeated The Kid & Marty Jannetty in 14:20 to retain the titles after Tatanka pinned Jannetty following the End of the TrailA video package highlighting the careers of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels is shown. The package heavily promotes how important the tournament is and can lead to the WWF World Championship for both men. The event takes place on July 23rd. Eighth Contest: The British Bulldog defeated Hakushi in 7:57 following a running powerslamJim Ross and Bobby Heenan take some time to promote the finals of the King of the Ring. It’s a huge match for both Simmons and Hart. Simmons has long wanted a shot at the WWF World Championship and now has the opportunity to earn a shot at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Hart has been on a long journey to regain the WWF World Championship after losing the title nearly two years ago. Heenan believes that Simmons is too determined to be denied and Ross believes that Hart won’t let the opportunity slip through his fingers. Ninth Contest: Ron Simmons defeated Bret Hart in 15:15 to win the 1995 King of the Ring following the Dominator. Todd Pettnegill meets with Ron Simmons at the podium to give Simmons his crown. Tatanka and Carlos Vega are standing next to Simmons proudly. Simmons tells the fans and Pettengill that the crown is not what he wants, but he accepts what it symbolizes. Tonight, he has earned the right to be praised and respected. Simmons demands the fans show him respect because he has proven to be the king of the ring tonight. At SummerSlam, Simmons proclaims that he’ll become the king of the World Wrestling Federation and become the rightful holder of the WWF World Championship and it doesn’t matter who is the champion heading into the event. Tonight, they team up to take on the WWF Tag Team Champions Carlos Vega and Tatanka before their KOTR PPV match against Sid and Lex Luger. Diesel knows that the Movement has been on a roll in recent months, but they are two of the very best in the WWF teaming tonight and it’s going to be a fight tonight for the tag champs. Helmsley is confident that we’ve seen the last of Macho Man in the WWF. Helmsley will be wrestling the Undertaker in a first round match at KOTR and tells Ross that he’s not afraid of the dark and he’s not going to run from the Undertaker. BREAKING NEWS! WWF ACQUIRES USWA! As of June 10th, 1995, the World Wrestling Federation has agreed to purchase the United States Wrestling Alliance previously owned by Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler. The WWF plans to continue to run shows every Monday evening at the Mid-South Coliseum and WWF talents will be regularly appearing. The reasoning for the purchase is for a developmental system. The WWF thrives to bring the very best talent to the WWF audience all over the world and producing a developmental promotion in an area such as Nashville, Tennessee proved to be an opportunity the company could not pass up. Many of the USWA favorites and most hated wrestlers will continue to appear on programming and not be associated directly with the WWF. There will be an influx of talent developing their skills to be presented in the USWA before eventually being brought to WWF television. As a result of the purchase, all current champions have been stripped of their championships and new champions will be crowned beginning on July 3rd, 1995. That is the date in which the new era of USWA will being. The USWA will have a Television, Tag Team and United World Champion moving forward. The World Wrestling Federation looks forward to this new journey.

Week #23: June 5th - June 11th
WWF RAW 6/5/1995 1. Paul Roma defeated Bart Gunn in 5:06 following a top rope elbow drop. After the match, Pretty Models and the Smoking Gunns brawled. 2. Razor Ramon defeated Chris Kanyon in 3:44 following the Razors Edge. 3. Kings Court w/Ron Simmons: Jerry Lawler hosts another King’s Court segment and says that his guest this week is a man that he’d be honored to share a crown with. He’s the leader of the Movement, Ron Simmons! Simmons makes his way out with the WWF Tag Team Champions Tatanka & Carlos Vega by his side. Simmons tells Lawler that while he appreciates the comment about sharing a crown, he will share nothing with anyone. Besides, the crown is not what he’s truly after. Simmons declares that he will win the KOTR, but he will not walk around with a crown on his head. He will not become a fake version of himself, which he’s sure the WWF would want him to become. Simmons has one mission in mind and that mission has never and will never change. He wants to become the WWF World Champion. Simmons notes that he’s never considered the number one contender and by winning the KOTR he will force WWF officials to give him his rightful opportunity to kick WWF World Champion Diesel’s ass and take the championship that belongs to him. Simmons tells Lawler that the Movement has the tag titles and will continue to have them and when he wins the World Championship the power will belong to the Movement to control the WWF once and for all. The Movement pose in the middle of the ring to end the segment. 4. Fatu defeated Paul Diamond in 3:19 following a top rope splash. 5. John Bradshaw defeated Jimmy Del Ray in 5:02 following a lariat. 6. Jeff Jarrett Interview: Backstage, Jim Ross conducted an interview with Jarrett regarding the KOTR and his relationship with Scott Norton. Jarrett tells Ross that there was a minor bump in their friendship when Jarrett took over as the leader of the Dynasty, but Norton has found his role and after being by his side to defeat Ramon to be in the KOTR, the Dynasty is picking up steam. Jarrett tells Ross that Norton is the muscle and he’s the brain of the operation. They have agreed that Jarrett will be the man to put the Dynasty back on top and that they’ll be looking for new members in the coming weeks to join the group. “We’ve thrived with just the two of us and there’s no telling what we can do when we find more people to join our ranks.” Jarrett is confident that he’ll win the KOTR and at SummerSlam he’ll put Diesel flat on his back for a three count and walk out the WWF World Champion and we can bet on that. 7. Hakushi defeated Chris Hamrick in 5:53 following a top rope moonsault. 8. Bam-Bam Bigelow Interview: Todd Pettengill conducted an interview with Bigelow regarding the KOTR tournament. Bigelow tells Pettengill that he’s the baddest man in the WWF and he’s a wild card because nobody knows how he’s going to feel on any given day, including himself. Bigelow is going to the KOTR and his flames are burning at a high level. He’s ready to take out all the competition and get his shot at WWF World Champion Diesel at SummerSlam. Bigelow notes it’s a perfect event for him… the event of the summer headlined by a man full of fire and determination. He’s going to do what he has to do to get in the main event and nobody is going to stop Bam-Bam! 9. Shawn Michaels defeated Barry Horowitz in 3:27 following a superkick. After the match, Jim Ross tried to get a word with Michaels regarding the mysterious voices that have been heard, but Michaels told Ross that he’s not worried about it and he’s focused for the KOTR. “Nothing is going to stop me or distract me from realizing my dream of being the WWF World Champion.” 10. Ted DiBiase Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with Ted DiBiase in the middle of the ring regarding the KOTR main event tag team match. DiBiase tells Ross that his team of Sid and Luger is by far the strongest team to ever come together in WWF history. DiBiase says that they are looking forward to facing the two top champions at KOTR, because when they win it will prove that the Corporation should be the champions and that both Diesel and Scott Steiner are fake champions. They haven’t had true competition, but when they get in the ring with Sid and Luger the fans will see through their heroes and they will praise true champions in Sid and Luger. DiBiase finishes off by saying that at the pay per view everyone will see the end of Diesel and Scott Steiner careers. They will lose in such an embarrassing fashion they will hand the titles over and never be seen ever again! 11. IRS defeated PJ Walker in 2:55 with an STF. 12. King of the Ring Report: Todd Pettengill hosts the segment promoting the pay per view highlighting the men who have qualified for the tournament and the tag team main event. 13. Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner in a non-title match to qualify for the 1995 King of the Ring Tournament following a Pedigree. During the match, Ted DiBiase had distracted the referee during various Steiner pin attempts. WWF Superstars 6/10/1995 1. The Kid & Marty Jannetty defeated Chris Jones & Tim Thomas in 2:33 following a spinning heel kick by Kid. The Hall of Fame has now been updated with the new member inductees including their inductee speeches. Congratulations all. Next step is adding the new diary inductees. Thanks for the speech, Dragon. I guess this means I can retire.

So, July 24 (Friday) marks one year since I started work on the Attitude Project. I didn't post it on WF until mid-October, but I'm incredibly proud to have written up close to eleven full months in the period of 365 days. Factoring in everything else involved from graphics designing, to organisation, to brainstorming ideas and plotting out ideas and storylines. All of this while working, socialising, and writing for my creative writing website (grxssroots.com - if you're curious). So I guess I like to be busy? I would have loved to have made it to WrestleMania in this time so I could go April 2, 2000 - April 1, 2001 in a calendar year, but we can't have everything. Also worth noting, No Mercy was the last show I wrote before lockdown in the United Kingdom started back in March. What I am noticing is just how much of a pain the Attitude Project can be to read on mobile, even when rotated. Naturally it is a web browser-friendly project to read along with. For consistency and story purposes, I would prefer not to modify anything and cut out the details. So I guess what I'm gauging is a mobile browser-friendly second project, completely detached from the Attitude Era. Nothing massive, nothing mind-blowing. Nothing that would desaturate the comprehensive quality of 2000/2001. Just straight-up minimalist stuff that would look good on your lil' black mirrors if that's how you read WF, that would be real easy and quick to read. Hypothetically, would there be any interest in that? People come on here using their phones?!

I'd really have to think about this, but I think Jerry Lynn deserves credit especially for his work from 2002 to 2004 for the early stages of TNA.

I don't think we're going to get any objections to Kev, AJ and HEELRyan in the HOF. So I think we can go ahead and confirm them. Any other suggestions for writers? Hell, if nobody else is going to nominate me, I'll put my own name out there. In terms of diaries to be inducted, I've had a flick through the last few pages. Seems that there were diaries last inducted in 2016. Here's some worthy inductees in my mind: DTP's The Attitude Project forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/360969/attitude-project-smackdown-october-2000Warriorlynx What if anthologies. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/359277/anthologies-19-jericho-face-wwfDTP and AJ WWENTERTAINMENT forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/358844/dtp-present-wwentertainment-raw-03?page=1 Warriorlynx WWF 93-98 forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/345861/wwf-1993-attitude-survivor-series?page=1Kill Em All WWE 08-10 forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/347116/world-wrestling-entertainment-2008-2010?page=1Warriorlynx WWF 86-91 forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/338975/1986-1991-sting-world-title?page=1Mike Bockwinkel - Mike Bockwinkel Promotions/TCW forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/156152/nick-bockwinkel-promotions-tournament-info An older one but I remember loving this: DTP The NXT Generation forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/311602/nxt-generation-8-2014-postedEven further back: Duan NWL Season 2 (look how much I ripped this off with the WF League, ha!) Season 1 is in the HOF already, no reason Season 2 shouldn't be: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/182334/nwl-national-wrestling-league-seasonKamestou's SCW was a huge inspiration for me. Without it there would be no SNW. I misremembered thinking he only did one SCW diary which is in the HOF but looking into it, only his initial diary is in there (NWL) but the two SCW reboots are not. To me, all three are worthy. I suggest we put the three in as an anthology, even if it's just under one entry. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/80100/scw-12-8-08-newswire?page=1forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/95276/scw-2-noah-results-1Thoughts, comments, suggestions? If you're gonna throw your name out there, I'll throw mine out there, too.

It's astounding to me that those three aren't already in the Hall of Fame, honestly. Mind you, it was that long ago. I'd like to revive the old "Ask the Booker" interview series too, for any writers interested. I'd be down for that.

Hakushi defeated Ricky Santana in 3:44 following a top rope moonsault. 3. Kings Court w/ Hunter Hearst Helmsley: Jerry Lawler talks about the attack that Hunter Hearst Helmsley did to Randy Savage recently and how it would appear that Savage may be out for a long time as a result. Lawler eventually brings out Helmsley for an interview. Helmsley tells Lawler that there’s always the old guard in professional wrestling and he’s tired of waiting around for his time to come. Helmsley doesn’t regret attacking Savage in front a child because that child needed to see what real life is all about. “When you get old, if you stay in the way of youth, you’re going to get ran over. I took out the Macho Man because he wouldn’t get out of my way.” Helmsley suggests that Savage never make an appearance in the WWF again because the beatings will just get more and more severe. Lawler turns his attention to the KOTR tournament and how Helmsley has a match next week to quality against WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner. Helmsley as a sly smile and says that next week is the true beginning of his rise. Sure, the match is a non-title bout, but Helmsley is going to defeat Steiner and show that he’s the real champion in WWF. Then, he’ll go on to win the tournament and at SummerSlam his reign will begin as the next WWF World Champion. 4. This mystery isn’t going to get them anywhere. I’m focusing on wrestling and I’m focusing on being the WWF World Champion and that’s all there is to it.” 9. Bret Hart defeated Vito LoGrasso in 2:55 with the Sharpshooter. 10. Diesel Interview: Vince McMahon conducted an interview with the WWF World Champion Diesel regarding the challenge made by the Corporation for a tag match against Psycho Sid and Lex Luger. However, Diesel doesn’t have a partner for the match, yet. Diesel credits DiBiase for having the money to acquire the muscle in Sid and Luger, but the champ isn’t going to back down from a challenge from anyone. Diesel heard the challenge last week and has been taking calls from many guys who want to step foot in the ring with him to take on Sid and Luger. Diesel had a good idea as to who he’d choose when a fellow champion called him up to fight next to him. That’s right, WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner called Diesel to be his partner and Diesel accepted the offer. Scott Steiner makes his way out and shakes hands with Diesel. Steiner isn’t a man to let a friend down and someone he respects. That’s why he’s stepping in and helping Diesel take on the Corporation. Steiner thinks the playing field is even now and that the main event at King of the Ring is going to be one that can’t be missed. DiBiase recalls throughout his career how many times he was screwed over in regard to winning the WWF World Championship. Now, he has acquired two men that are more than capable of bring the championship to his Corporation, one of them being a former WWF World Champion already. DiBiase tells Lawler that they are in no rush to demand a WWF World Championship match against Diesel. He enjoys the thought of torturing Diesel mentally not allowing him to really know when they strike and take the gold away from Big Daddy Cool. DiBiase is here to issue a tag team challenge for the King of the Ring. DiBiase is doing this because both Sid and Luger badly want to end Diesel and this is the most logical approach. “Diesel, find yourself a partner to combat my men, Luger and Sid, and if either one of them pin you champ, they get a shot at your gold!” 4. Week #20: 5/15/1995 - 5/21/1995 WWF RAW 5/15/19951. Adam Bomb defeated Greg Valentine in 3:44 following a slingshot clothesline from the apron. During the match, IRS shared a pre-tape promo stating that Bomb is going to be added to his list of men who need to need to pay up what is due. 2. Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Bob Holly in 6:33 following the Pedigree. 3. Kings Court w/ Ron Simmons & Jack Tunney: Jerry Lawler welcomes everyone to the greatest talk show in entertainment history, Kings Court. Lawler notes that last night, there was a man who never once backed down from the supernatural that is the Undertaker, and by doing so, that man was able to defeat the Undertaker in the middle of the ring and stake claim in being the number one contender to the WWF World Championship. Lawler introduces that man, who is Ron Simmons. Simmons makes his way down to the ring on his own and tells Lawler that for months he had been talking about how he should be the WWF World Champion and his victory last night was him backing it up. Simmons demands that Jack Tunney smarten up and see that Ron Simmons deserves a chance because he has simply earned it. “I’ve beaten all the heroes and I’m gong to beat the biggest hero, Diesel, and take the WWF World Championship.” At this point, Jack Tunney makes his way down to the ring with a few officials to apparently have a discussion. Tunney notes that Simmons has been on quite a roll, but Tunney can’t just simply make Simmons the number one contender. However, what Tunney can do is allow Simmons to compete in the 1995 King of the Ring tournament and earn a shot at the championship at the 1995 SummerSlam pay per view event. Simmons is not happy about this and claims that if he were one of the “tall, muscular ‘white boys’ that he’d been given a shot by now.” Simmons thinks that Tunney and the WWF have a vendetta against him because Simmons beat up Hulk Hogan so badly that Hogan hasn’t been back to the WWF nor returned any calls. Tunney insists that’s not the case. Tunney tells Simmons he can take the opportunity or wait longer for a title shot. Simmons backs Tunney into a corner after grabbing the microphone from Lawler and gets in Tunney’s face. Ron tells Tunney that he’s adding fuel to his fire and that whomever he faces in the tournament will not be his responsibility. Simmons concludes that “I need to be the WWF World Champion. This movement will never end until I am the WWF World Champion.” 4. Fatu defeated Duane Gill in 2:06 following a top rope big splash. 5. Rick Steiner Interview: Jim Ross had a sit-down interview with Rick Steiner earlier in the day. Rick talks about losing the steel cage match to Scott Steiner last night and thus lost the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Rick tells Ross that in the past day he’s thought about his recent actions and taking his frustrations out on his brother for his knee injury. Rick regrets taking out his anger on his brother, but that mean streak led him to success, and he wants to continue that success. Later on in the program, Rick is facing Bret Hart for a spot in the King of the Ring, and he’s going to continue to have a mean stream and accomplish the ultimate goal of becoming the WWF World Champion. 6. Jeff Jarrett defeated Barry Horowitz in 4:11 following a jumping DDT. 7. Diesel Interview & Confrontation: Jim Ross conducted an interview with the WWF World Champion, Diesel in the ring. Ross puts over Diesel for his hard fought victory at the pay per view last night over King Yokozuna. Diesel tells Ross that Yokozuna wasn’t an easy man to defeat, but Big Daddy Cool is on a roll and it’s going to be a long while before this truck can ever be stopped. At that point, DiBiase comes down the aisle way and is cutting off Diesel. DiBiase enters the ring and tells Diesel that Diesel has something he has always wanted. Of course, that is the WWF World Championship. DiBiase notes that he has retired from professional wrestling, but he has changed his career into a managerial position. DiBiase tells Diesel that with his money, he’s creating a Corporation. “You can it the Million Dollar Corporation.” The goal, is to hold all the gold in the WWF. DiBiase’s first target… is Diesel. As DiBiase continues to speak, Lex Luger comes into the ring from behind with a steel chair and whacks Diesel over the back with it dropping Diesel to a knee. Luger continues to pummel Diesel with right hands, but misses a clothesline as Diesel ducked. Diesel drops Luger with a big boot and goes after DiBiase in the corner. Diesel has DiBiase by the neck, but Psycho Sid comes running down and attacks Diesel from behind. Sid drops Diesel with a chokeslam and signals for the powerbomb. Sid manages to pick up Diesel and plants the champion with a sickening powerbomb. DiBiase gets on the microphone and tells Diesel “look at what money can buy!” As Sid and Luger stand over Diesel to end the segment. 8. Owen Hart Interview: Todd Pettengill interviewed Owen Hart backstage, who appeared to be in a chipper mood. Owen told everyone that he was better than his brother and he proved that last night by pinning him right in the middle of the ring. Owen does note that he’s not completely satisfied because he wants to make Bret submit and he’s going to do that. Owen looks into the camera and says “I beat you Bret, but I want to embarrass you.” 11. The British Bulldog defeated Mark Thomas in 2:55 following a running powerslam. I'm about to watch the KOTR '94 event for the first time in a long time. What are your memories of the PPV? Of course, Art Donovan, but what else?

WWF In Your House Date: 5/14/1995 From: Syracuse, NY Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to another In Your House and they are excited for the action this evening. Ross notes that two matches will feature brothers competing against each other. Ross promotes the match between Owen Hart and Bret Hart as an opportunity for Owen to show he’s on the same level as Bret. Heenan thinks that Bret’s career is on its last legs and its time for a younger and better Hart to carry the Hart name. Ross also promotes the steel cage match between WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner defending against Rick Steiner inside a steel cage. Heenan isn’t sure if the cage will impact either man as they both want to be in the cage to destroy each other. Heenan thinks about the mama Steiner probably being stressed, but Heenan laughs it off and loves it. Also tonight, Ron Simmons looks to keep his movement going strong as he competes in singles action with the Undertaker. Heenan isn’t surprised that Simmons isn’t afraid of the dark and thinks that Simmons will not be stopped, not even by the Undertaker. Ross also makes sure to plug the WWF World Championship match where Diesel defends against King Yokozuna! Lets gets right into the action! Opening Contest: Jeff Jarrett vs. Razor Ramon in a chain match: Ramon has the chain and he’s ready for action while Jarrett stalls outside the ring trying to find a way to kill time. The distraction allows Scott Norton to attack Ramon from behind and drives Ramon to the mat with a backbreaker. Naturally, Jarrett feels confident to use the chain and proceeds to beat on Ramon for several minutes using the chain on the Bad Guy often. Jarrett stands on the middle rope looking to hit a crossbody, but Ramon yanks Jarrett off and catches Double J to hit a fallaway slam. Ramon gets the advantage and whips Jarrett with the chain a few times. Late in the match, Norton got on the apron and held Ramon. Jarrett looked to hit Ramon with the chain, but missed and decked Norton off the apron. Ramon spins Jarrett around and hits the Razors Edge to win the match. (Razor Ramon over Jeff Jarrett, 10:33, **1/2) After the match, Norton gets in the ring and shoves Jarrett for hitting him with the chain. Jarrett dismisses Norton and leaves the ring frustrated with the loss. Backstage, Todd Pettengill conducts an interview with Hugh The Clown, who is with Doink and they are both laughing it up. Hughie says he’s happy to be on pay per view, but he’s even happier to get the chance to fight the flame headed Bam-Bam Bigelow. They both have buckets of water and Hughie says they are going to put the flame out tonight! Second Contest: Bam-Bam Bigelow vs. Hughie The Clown: Hughie and Doink attacked Bigelow during his entrance hitting Bigelow with their buckets and dumping water over Bam-Bam. Hughie maintains control in the ring for several minutes mostly with strikes and an impressive delayed vertical suplex. Hughie spikes Bigelow with a piledriver, but can’t put Bam-Bam away. Bigelow is able to avoid a running splash in the corner and hit a back suplex. Bigelow blocked interference attempt by Doink and whacked Doink with the water bucket. Bam-Bam plants Hughie with a shoulder breaker and signaled for the ned by hitting a top rope diving headbutt for the win. (Bam-Bsm Bigelow over Hughie The Clown, 7:42, **)Backstage, Todd Pettengill is with Men on a Mission to interview them regarding the tag team title match coming up against Carlos Vega and Tatanka. Mabel says that the Movement isn’t their cup of tea because their message doesn’t seem to be delivered correctly. Their message tonight is going to be simple… they are coming for the titles and their fists will meet the champs face. Mo chimes in and tells the Movement that the titles will be on the move… to Men on a Mission.
Third Contest: WWF Tag Team Champions Carlos Vega & Tatanka vs. Men on a Mission: Early on, the champs were able to focus their attack on Mo keeping control of the smaller MOM member for several moments. Vega almost got the win following a spinning heel kick, but Mo displayed his heart by kicking out before three. Mo ducked a double clothesline attempt to drop the champs with a clothesline of his own and was able to tag in Mabel. Mabel cleaned house with clotheslines and splashes in the corner. Mabel tagged in Mo to perform a double team splash in the corner, but Tatanka saved Vega by pulling his partner out of the way. Tatanaka knocked Mabel to the floor before planting Mo with the End of the Trail to earn the victory. (Tatanka & Carlos Vega over Men On a Mission, 8:27, *1/2)A video promoting the steel cage match between WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner is shown. Tonight, the rivalry between brothers will be settled inside the brutal and dangerous steel cage. Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan continue to hype the cage match as the camera focuses on the cage being completely built. Someone’s career could very well end tonight.
Fourth Contest: WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner vs. Rick Steiner in a steel cage match: Rick goes right after Scott pummeling his brother with right hands in the corner and using his headgear to deliver violent headbutts. Rick nearly won the match following a snap powerslam. Rick continued to beat on Scott by sending him face first into the steel cage and Scott is hurting. Scott countered being sent into the cage and tossed Rick into the cage several times to get momentum in his favor. Scott tossed Rick across the ring with a few overhead belly to belly suplex and an exploder suplex that sent Rick into the steel cage. Scott took off Rick’s headgear and began to pummel Rick with it causing Rick to bleed from the forehead. Scott tries for the Frankensteiner, but Rick countered the move and rams Scott back first into the cage before hitting a powerbomb. Late in the match, Rick tried to hit the bulldog off the middle rope, but Scott spun around and hit an overhead belly to belly suplex. Rick staggered to his feet and Scott hit a double under hook powerbomb. Scott beat on Rick with the headgear leaving Rick lifeless in the ring. Scott climbs the cage and looks down at Rick, as if to say this is over now. Scott slides down the side of the cage and wins the cage match. (Scott Steiner over Rick Steiner, 15:22, ***1/4)Backstage, Todd Pettengill is with Owen Hart for an interview regarding his match with his brother Bret Hart coming up next. Owen tells Pettengill that tonight is going to be his night. He is sick and tired of being in Bret’s shadow and he proved that he’s better than Bret in the tag match at WrestleMania. Owen is going to stare his brother right in the eyes and he’s going to beat the Hitman. Fifth Contest: Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart: Early on, they counter some mat wrestling holds with Owen taunting Bret after getting the advantage. Owen cheap shots Bret in the corner and pummeled Bret with strikes in the corner. Owen nailed Bret with a spinning heel kick and nearly won the match. Owen continued his offense with a missile dropkick and a belly to belly suplex, but was still unable to win the match. Bret countered a side Russian leg sweep with a short arm clothesline and atomic dropped Owen chest first into the corner after avoiding a wild strike. Owen stumbled out of the corner and Bret hit a running bulldog for a two count. Late in the match, Bret hit a side Russian leg sweep and a forearm drop before signaling for the Sharpshooter. As Bret went for the submission hold, Owen went into his tights and punched Bret right on the jaw with brass knuckles. Bret hunched over and Owen got an inside cradle on Bret to win the match. (Owen Hart over Bret Hart, 13:06, ***1/2) After the match, Owen got rid of the brass knuckles and celebrated on the floor as if he had won the World Championship. Bret is is holding his jaw and trying to figure out what happened. Owen is hears yelling out “I’ve always known I was better than Bret! Wooo! Now I proved it! Yeah!” A video promoting Ron Simmons and his upcoming match with the Undertaker is shown. Tonight, can Ron Simmons continue his movement, or will the Deadman bury the Movement’s leader? Backstage, Todd Pettengill talked to Ron Simmons. Simmons stops Pettengill from even getting one word out. Simmons looks into the camera and says he’s not afraid of the dark and he’s not afraid of a phenom. There is nothing that will be able to stop the path of the Movement. Simmons is going to be the WWF World Champion and will overcome all obstacles put in his way. Sixth Contest: The Undertaker vs. Ron Simmons: Simmons attacked Undertaker during his entrance. Simmons even sent Paul Bearer into the guard railing back first. Simmons sent Taker knees first into the ring steps.. Simmons picked up the ring steps and rammed them into Taker. Simmons rolled Taker into the ring to officially start the match and couldn’t get a three count. Simmons worked over Taker with strikes in the corner before sending Taker into the ropes and missing a clothesline. Taker proceeded to clothesline himself and Simmons over the top to the floor. On the floor, Taker beat on Simmons and dropped the Movement leader face first onto the ring steps. Taker continues to beat on Simmons with strikes before they returned to the ring. Taker tried for a flying clothesline off the top, but Simmons caught Taker in midair to hit a powerslam for a two count. Simmons continues to beat on Taker with strikes to the lower back of Taker. Simmons nearly won the match following a backbreaker. Late in the match, Taker tried for the tombstone, but his back gave out a little bit. Simmons took advantage by lifting Taker up and hitting the Dominator for the shocking win in the middle of the ring. (Ron Simmons over The Undertaker, 15:46, ***) After the match, Simmons stands over Undertaker as if to say that he’s the man now in the WWF. An ad promoting the 1995 King of the Ring pay per view. The event takes place on June 25th live from Philadelphia, PA. A video promoting the WWF World Championship match between Diesel and King Yokozuna is shown.
