That was INSANE. What a totally unexpected timing for this heel turn. I really hope this means Ambrose finally gets the push he deserves. I loved Ambrose's reactions throughout the beatdown, like he was torn apart by doing this.

How difficult must it be for Balor to have to go out there first playing to the crowd and smiling? It's gotta be so difficult to just switch gears like that.

Good God. Wrestlezone just posted on Facebook that Roman Reigns has leukemia??? How unbelievably awful.

I flipped on the show to see Evolution and then went back and forth the rest of the night while watching hockey in hopes that The Rock or Jericho show up for tonight's show, but oh, well. It's pretty clear the Evolution promo went way over and they had to cut time from every other segment/match. Batista and Flair both seemed to go off the rails once they got a mic in their hand. I don't blame Batista at all, either; he looked genuinely emotional to be back, it was cool to see him again.
Also, just curious because Angle posted a teaser on Instagram earlier - did they ever have a Team Angle reunion?

For me it's JR, King, Heenan and Gorilla. If I could pick, like, three more I would add Vince, The Body and Schiovane.

Man, I was really hoping Mattel would begin paying closer attention to the way they paint beards with the new face printing technology, but that Ambrose head is rough looking. His beard is missing paint that looks like is on his teeth. I really hope that's just the one figure and not all of them that look like that.

Wow, that Joe head is scary realistic. Easily the best head I've seen from Mattel so far since the switch to the face printing. Looks awesome!

Evolution was never even a group on SmackDown. I'm really glad Batista is coming back, even if it is for only one night, but I would rather see him have his own moment coming back home to DC. He really carried SmackDown during its prime years, IMO, along with Taker.

Is that new graphic novel thing that the WWE is releasing about him out yet? That would be cool to have signed, I'd imagine.

Does anyone know if they adjusted the logos limit for CAWs in this year's game? I think it was 1,000 in previous years, which was way too low if you like to download realistic CAWs with multiple textures.

Yeah, the whole thing about them having to pay $3,000 to be in the game seems bogus to me. I mean, maybe it's true, but it wouldn't explain why two people would pay that fee to be in a game one year and then decline to the following year when they've both become more recognizable and bigger characters since then. I'm still holding out hope that they do a "last minute additions" reveal the week of the release date where they announce the notables who aren't in the game. 2K's silence about it is making it worse. You'd think they would explain it ahead of the release date so that way they at least don't have that hanging over them. That's not what it is. 2K pays THEM 3k to be in the game and forfeit royalties. Makes perfect sense where a guy like Ciampa wouldn't agree to that considering he'd be a big reason people would buy the game, and would want to be compensated for such. Well, if it's about him not being satisfied with compensation, then that'd be really weak on his part. There have been plenty of other more popular NXT Superstars than him, and nobody ever backed out from a video game because they felt they weren't making enough money from it. That's why I highly, highly doubt that rumor is true. It wouldn't make sense when he's already been in one video game and has had action figures already released/due out.

The beard on Ambrose is way too think and pronounced, and I really have no idea what they were going for with the dark circles/eyeliner around his eyes. Isn't this the same scan as the Elite 63 figure? The painting on the Elite head is 100x better and looks exactly like him. I don't know what happened here, but it looks horrific.

- Additions (41): Adam Cole Andrade Almas Angelo Dawkins Ariya Daivari Bianca Belair Bobby Fish Bobby Lashley (DLC) Candice LeRae (DLC) Dakota Kai (DLC) Drew Gulak EC3 (DLC) Hanson (DLC) Kairi Sane Kyle O'Reilly Lacey Evans (DLC) Lana Lince Dorado Lio Rush (DLC) Liv Morgan Mandy Rose Maria Kanellis (DLC) Mike Kanellis (DLC) Montez Ford Mustafa Ali Oney Lorcan Otis Dozovic Pete Dunne Rey Mysterio (DLC) Ricochet (DLC) Roddy Piper (DLC) Ronda Rousey (DLC) Rowe (DLC) Sarah Logan Shayna Baszler Shelton Benjamin Sonya Deville Ted DiBiase Tony Nese Tucker Knight Tyler Bate Velveteen Dream - Subtractions (28): Albert Big Cass The Brian Kendrick Buddy Roberts Bushwhacker Butch Bushwhacker Luke Cactus Jack/Dude Love/Mankind Darren Young Earthquake Emma Enzo Amore JBL Jimmy Garvin Kerry Von Erich Kevin Von Erich Larry Zbyszko Mark Henry Michael Hayes Neville Nikki Cross Rich Swann Rob Van Dam (DLC) Sawyer Fulton Summer Rae Tatsumi Fujinami Tommaso Ciampa Typhoon Tyson Kidd I'm a huge Mick Foley fan so it's disappointing to see him gone but there are so many former indy guys in this year, I'm not going to pass on the game entirely but I think I will get it when it's cheap. In case anyone was wondering, here's last years' additions and subtractions for comparison. - Additions (45):
Akam Akira Tozawa Aleister Black (DLC) Alexander Wolfe Batista (DLC) Beth Phoenix (DLC) Billie Kay Bobby Roode The Brian Kendrick Cedric Alexander Curt Hawkins Drew McIntyre (DLC) Elias (DLC) Ember Moon Eric Young Gran Metalik Jack Gallagher Jeff Hardy (DLC) Jinder Mahal Johnny Gargano Kassius Ohno Killian Dain Lars Sullivan (DLC) Kurt Angle (DLC) Maryse Matt Hardy (DLC) Mickie James Nick Miller Nikki Cross No Way Jose Noam Dar Peyton Royce Rezar Rhyno Rich Swann Rick Martel Ricky Morton (DLC) Rob Van Dam (DLC) Robert Gibson (DLC) Roderick Strong Ruby Riot (DLC) Sawyer Fulton Shane Thorne TJ Perkins Tommaso Ciampa
- Subtractions (14):
Alberto Del Rio Arn Anderson Austin Aries (DLC) Billy Gunn Blake Brian Pillman Bubba Ray Dudley D-Von Dudley Eva Marie Jack Swagger Murphy Road Dogg Jesse James Simon Gotch StardustThanks for the list. So, they doubled the amount of subtractions in this year's game and cut the additions by four. Wow. Highly disappointing seeing it outlined like that. Also, 9 of the 14 wrestlers they removed from the game last year was because they were no longer under contract, so they only cut 5 Legends last year as opposed to removing a total of 18 legends from this year's game.

I'm really not sure if I'll get the game this year. The removal of Foley and Ciampa seem like deal-breakers for me. I don't understand why they removed Foley when he's been on good terms with the company for years now and has an active merchandise contract with them. It's pretty ironic that the same year Mattel finally releases a Dude Love to complete the Three Faces of Foley is the same year they decide to remove him from the game.
As for Ciampa, it's been beaten to death, but I just have no idea why he would've been removed. The excuse that he was injured and not on TV is nonsense. He was in the game last year and has been a major part of NXT for years now. At the very least, they could've kept his exact same model in the game. Tyson Kidd was in the game how many years after his career ended dude to injury; they never removed him. The fact that 2K hasn't even commented on it is a disgrace because they're obviously fully aware of the fans' outrage about it. Every post on social media that they make is flooded with replies about it, and them ignoring it just makes it worse each day.
*Edit* - Almost forgot, removing RVD is also a huge bummer for me. He's one of my favorites of all time and I was psyched to finally get him back in the game last year. He's said in the past he's always open to working with the company in terms of merchandising, so I don't understand why they would remove him after one year. I had, like, 8 slots filled with RVD alternate attires last year.

I don't see why you should feel embarrassed about wearing a wrestling shirt. If you do, why even own it to begin with?

Would love for the company to justify how they feel this spot is totally Ok to televise, but an intentional drop of blood or chair shot to the head is totally off limits and where they draw the line. We get it, you hate the current product. Absolutely, although I don't get what this in particular has to do with that.

Thought it was obvious that they stopped these due to concussions. Repeated chair shots to the head without protection are one thing, but I don't see why guys can't get their hands up for the spot every once in a while.

Now all we need is someone to replace Vince full-time.
