I'm the opposite, I'm all in and want more. Sounds like you've burned out because you collected every figure. With modern lines I don't think that's the right approach to take cause there's so many figs/it gets overwhelming fast. I stick to one look per character on my display so I'm kept in check/not pressured to buy everything/etc. and I enjoy it very much. No it’s because the quality went downhill starting with Unrivaled 5 Very much agree to disagree. The Supreme figures are out of this world. I think the Blood and Guts Thunder Rosa is the best AEW figure they've done PERIOD. The Britt, Miro and Andrade figs in Series 10 rule. I do believe it's a line to pick and choose because when a fig is bad (the newest Jungle Boy, etc.), it tends to be really bad. But I couldn't disagree more about going downhill after 5.

That video is indeed damning. I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for it to be addressed on the pod. Remember Matt clearly said he won’t bury a company he’s working with so it’ll be a fluff piece and they’ll make excuses and skirt around the issues I’m very disappointed because as an out of box collector I thought these looked amazing both on and out of box and a fantastic looking package. This may be a new toy line but they’re Experienced individuals in the toy manufacturing process behind this line, and the basics of QC don’t change. You have to get running samples etc to check and do these issues. The amount of crap mattel get for the slightest thing (my figures leg feels slightly tight) v it snapping completely trying to lift past a 3 degree angle is laughable But it already WAS addressed on the pod. They spent a lot of time on it and they didn't pull any punches. They're also gonna have Steve from Powertown on next week to hopefully talk about how they're going to fix/address the problem.

Well this sucks because Hansen and Brody are probably the most ordered figures in this wave. Cool that they're addressing it for the second half of the wave, but I spent $100 on those two and now I'm going to be terrified taking them out of the packaging and posing them on my shelf. I'm ok with them being a bit oversized, I can make it work. But how many of us are going to have broken figures within a year of them arriving? they're not going to replace the broken figs for us in wave 1? You can't piss off wave 1 backers... Know going in that these first three are gonna have issues and be super careful with the legs. If we're just putting on a shelf and posing and letting them sit there we should be perfectly fine. They had issues when they tried moving the leg into like a 90 degree position; most of us are never doing that with figs

Legitimately one of the best lineups they've ever done imo (and definitely the best Legends lineup since the original Legends line).
Normally even with the very solid legends sets I get them all but very few actually make my display/replace other versions of guys. In this set 3 of the 4 are immediately going on my shelves, which is pretty awesome.

Ringside. Save yourself the hassle/gas money/getting figs 3 months later. My stores are so terrible that I don't even bother with them and I'm happy to pay a little bit more for the convenience factor.

Just a heads up before people freak out about it ... while they loved the figs (they said when they first got them in hand they thought these might be the best wrestling figures ever), they had some QC issues with them. Legs broke on a couple figs when they were moving them around and testing out the articulation. It seems like the final conclusion was be careful and don't try to bend the legs very far (like at a 90 degree angle) because there's a good chance they'll break. They also added that they should only affect the very first 3 that have shipped out and that it's going to be addressed for the next 3 in the wave and beyond. They're going to have Steve from Powertown on the pod next week and I'm guessing they'll talk more about that. It sounds like we'll be totally fine as long as we're just putting them on a shelf and not moving them around a lot for some extensive figure photography. Just seems like with these three in particular be careful and know going in not to move the legs very much/put much pressure on the upper leg joint. (I'm hoping that's all it is, that's basically what they're saying on the pod.) (P.S. Great screen name/side photo!)

They're going to have Steve from Powertown on the pod next week and I'm guessing they'll talk more about that. Did they heat the legs up before moving them? I buy Mythic Legion figures. They add instructions to their figures saying to run a blow dryer over the arms and legs before you try and move them. So if the Pod guys just straight up manhandled the figures right out of the package, well ... yeah. Hopefully that method will work with 'em. The full pod will be out Friday so everyone will be able to hear their experiences then, I don't wanna paraphrase and mess something up lol. From what they said, they believed one of the barbell joints wasn't strong enough. I watched the video version and they show how they very slowly try to move the legs up to a 90 degree angle they're very cautious (it's super stiff) cause he feels like it's going to break. They had multiple figures break on them so they don't think it was a one-time thing or them being reckless with it. All of that said it sounds like it'll be fixed/corrected for the second half of Wave 1 and all future figs, so fingers crossed in that regard.

I've been in on the line since Day 1. I plan on collecting until the end BUT my rules have changed drastically over the past decade-plus. At the very start of the line I was buying anything and everything and had pretty massive modern and legend collections. Over time I migrated more to NJPW/ROH and then AEW as far as personal modern tastes go so finally this year I sold all my modern Mattels and focus strictly on legends/flashbacks. It took me some time to finally go through with it but it was the right move; I was keeping up and buying way too many figs just for the sake of having them rather than actually wanting the modern WWE guys/girls. I still have a pretty massive collection of all the mattel legends/flashback characters.
I just dug the line from the start, thought it was a significant step up from Jakks. The timing for me fit cause right around 2009 was when I got back into wrestling after a bit of a break. I've got collections for pretty much every wrestling figure line ever made and quality-wise I think Mattels are the best quality wrestling figures ever made (they've really leveled up quite a bit over the past couple of years imo).

I don't know how I've been on this board forever and completely missed this thread, lol. Anyone have any signed Hasbros available by any chance? I'm hard on the hunt, lol.
I'll post some pics tomorrow of some of my favorites in my collection!

As others have said prices are going up but as someone who buys almost exclusively off RSC (my stores are brutal, the convenience is far worth it) I'd always recommend waiting on any Mattel chases. That's the one item RSC usually prices pretty high for the first batch because stock is limited but in time they always fall because most aren't in some crazy demand

This happens every year, things pick up so there's a ton of product available ahead of the holidays and then things slow down for a while. There's a ton of new sets in right now for both Mattel and Jazwares. Like 2 weeks ago RSC had that crazy day where a billion sets all arrived on like the same day (WM Elites, Rumble elites, and two new AEW series).

It's 1000 percent Borne, from late 92/early 93. I always view Borne as the one true Doink so that first elite I'd say is also him, and then the Flashback series Doink is Apollo from late 94 (wore that outfit at Survivor Series) Except it's Apollo that's on the packaging for the Elite. They have packaging mix-ups all the time. I wouldn't have been stunned if they accidentally threw a pic of Brawler or Jericho as Doink on there lol Also the back of that elite says "Circa 1993." Borne was Doink for 11 out of 12 months in 1993, Apollo didn't take over until Survivor Series at the very end of November.

On WO board there is a grab of a podcast from journalist Billi Bhati (not always mega reliable so take this with a pinch of salt) who among other AEW news broke down the contract and sales for their figure line. - Claims AEW profit share with Jazwres, and that paid Jazwres to produce the figures not the other way round. - That a main figure in each set gets 30,000 made, and 15,000 for less popular wrestlers. - That it's a massive money loser, and they are banking on the upcoming CM Punk figure to turn fortunes around - they are set to make 75,000 of him the most they've made of one person. Bill Bhatti is the opposite of a reliable source. All he does is make up crap. He's been banned from being referenced on Reddit, etc., because he's never had anything right in his life. If anything, him saying that the action figure line isn't doing well makes me think it's the complete opposite and that we have absolutely nothing to worry about. That's how wrong that dude always is lol

The codes are all still 10 percent off, not sure what you saw thats good then. this is advertised in there banner. if you click and look. OR Use Code RUMBLE for 5% off - no minimum Hmm ... that's weird, lol. Didn't see that before. But yeah, all the usual codes (wfigs, major, kyle, etc.) still seem to be the usual 10

they also changed the 10% off to 5% now. not sure if they other codes are affected didnt try it. lol. and i agree , they should prob dedicate certain figures to the "sale" and actually mark them down. or just do a major markdown on the stuff they want to move like normal sales do. this happens alot with these sales, nothing ever seems to be markdownwed enough to justify buying it any other time. that Rhea basic was 3.99 during BF. and now its 8.99 , anyone who knew that a month ago isnt gonna suddenly buy it now..for example. The codes are all still 10 percent off, not sure what you saw
