The Mega Powers was the greatest wrestling story ever told. People were starting to get a little tired of Hulkamania at the time and even though Warrior was way over he never seemed like the type of character you'd build the company around. It was definitely an intriguing matchup because you werent sure if the torch was gonna be passed or not but you werent as invested as you were a year prior. Admittedly...Warrior is my favorite haha. Having said that yea to me Warrior was always like WWF Suger. He’s a rush. He’s a concentrated dose of excitement and his career happened in bursts which suited him. By the time the act started to wear thin, he was gone. Storytelling was never really gonna suit him and so guys like Savage were much more suited for the long haul. Warrior/ Hogan was a bowl of WrestleMania suger haha. It wouldn’t be good all the time, but it was great that time what kinda sucks with warrior is 3 of his biggest storylines, never got a big ppv match. jake turning on him, undertaker and the casket thing, then papa shango and vodoo curse.

along with reasons others have givin, hogan/savage had such a storyline to it as well. the NBC match with the break-up and all was HUGE for promotion of that event. the mega-powers break up over Miss Liz got even my family interested and watching. soap opera stuff!

any chance we could ever get some small say 3 3/4 or 4 inch figs?
would be cool for kids to be able to bring a bag of em on vacation and stuff. smaller, but still playable figs like old super powers or secret wars figs.
could do exclusive legend royal rumble and survivor series sets n stuff.

if it wasnt a work, i put blame on both vince/bret equally! despite creative control, EVERY other champ did the job before they left inc hogan/diesel etc! if wrestling is his life and cares SOOOO much about it, you honor the tradition. on other hand, since bret/shawn had issues and bret was willing to drop belt to ANYONE else, vince shoulda just picked another guy for the night! Vince screwed Bret and wouldn't shoulder the responsibility afterwards. I'm still shocked he didn't try to cater to Hart and have him drop the title to Undertaker instead of HBK. Bret was pushing for Taker or Shamrock.

I would have loved to have seen a Steamboat vs. Earthquake match.... mainly to see if Steamboat could give Quake those great arm drag take downs he is so good at doing to his opponents! Ha ha ha this got me to look up matches with steamboat vs big guys and cant find any. andre, bundy, gang, akeem, kamala, etc nothing! only studd in 1977 and vader in wcw. kinda odd.

Maybe Earthquake? His feud with Hogan really never got televised closure. I guess eliminating him from the 91 Runble was it. Take that away, let Quakes team go over at Survivor Series making him #1 contender and he beats Warrior. Obviously I don't need a Shiek Quake so let's not play up the Gulf War angle but Mania 7 could have been the blow off with him and Hogan. This is about the obnly other good heel option. it really shoulda been hogan vs warrior 2 tho! it woulda been SOOOO HUGE!

i liked the 3 man team alot. reminded me of the Freebirds. i liked smash/crush too and thought they wrere even a tougher team but wwf didnt do anything with em. i did feel the staleness of them at the end tho. with a good team like that tho, id have jst givin them a break fo awhile and do some big comeback later.
a year later lod beatin up on rockers and challenge anyone, demos music comes on and they're back!
i loved singles crush tho and repo man was funny as hell!

yea wwf went from greatest top heavy roster ever to a few names in a bucket. was a very strange and heartbreaking time for me actually. the steroid scandal is was had vince gettin rid of the more muscle-bound guys who more likely to fail a test or did fail a few test run tests.

one of my fav events of all time and my fav KOTR event for sure! bret vs perfect was best match and a fav match of mine. i crap my pants when perfect beat hughes and we were gonna get good guy vs good guy. BUT i wantd perfect to win SOOOOOOOO bad. he's my fav of all time. was kinda pissed they gave it to bret as got the win over perfect already at ss91 and the let luger beat perfect at mania. then when they didnt let him beat shawn at summerslam i was so pissed. ruined his babyface run imo. bret did have 3 good matches like u said tho. was kinda bummed no winner in tatanka/luger even if it was by dq or count out. also thought crush shoulda got the belt here and yeah, until crush/yoko teamin up, i didnt feel he was ever in contention for the belt again. hulk/yoko was ok, but HATED the fireball ending ALOT! rather itd been fuji salt in face or something. or fuji gets giant gonzales and he attacks hulk. yoko/gonzales then terroize wwf.
