i just couldnt get into alot as it was such a letdown for me.
i fell they shoulda kept wcw alive as a separate show again for a while, maybe until he could work it out with a few of the big wcw stars.

The Invasion angle could have had Hogan, Nash, Hall, Goldberg, Steiner, Sting, Luger, Jarrett, DDP, Booker T and Sid Vicious on the Alliance side, and Vince still would have squashed them all at that moment. Guys like Booker T and DDP didn't get any chance to shine until they were WWE superstars in 2002. As long as they had WCW stank on them in 2001, they were doomed to not get one over on the WWE for the final victory. lol great way to put it, still had that wcw stank on them.

Were meant to drop titles to Mega Maniacs @ WM9 but Hogan had no interest in the straps much to Vinnies dismay Vince should have stood up for that to take place! Think about the house shows the WWE could have had then. Show A: Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna for the WWE Title as the main event Show B: Mega Maniacs vs. Money Inc. for the Tag Titles as the main event Money would have been made huge then for that company. And sadly that kind of screwed over Brutus Beefcake too out of a title reign. In 1993 it's sad that Hogan didn't see his place in wrestling wasn't as the main event guy anymore at least in the WWE ring. agreed! REALLY wanted hulk/beefer to win the belts too. rematch at KOTR, money inc brings a surprise ins policy which turns out to be giant gonzales who gets them the belts back. or if they coulda somehow got warrior to come back for a huge hulk/beefer vs savage/warrior match woulda been too sweet.

Perfect was definitely world champion material, but the IC title was perfect for him as he was one the better stars in that time. There were tons of guys in that era that were ready for runs with either title, but some of them had enough charisma with their gimmick that the belts weren't even necessary such as DiBiase, the Model, Big Boss Man, Jake the Snake. yep perfect, luger, vader shoulda all got HW belt perfect, tatanka, crush, coulda all been IC champs. dean douglas shoulda held it longer perfect, tantaka, or luger shoulda been KOTR 93 winner Thanks bret, shawn, & razor

Really enjoyed Perfect in 1993....Pity that more wasn't done with him. I would have liked to see him become a top tier heel again. The character was just better as heel....like Mr Wonderful before him. that coulda been another big turn later on for him. yea, vince really put too much stock in bret/shawn, and hogan for that moment.

that was alot of micheals doing. he literally begged vince to keep him as champ. perfect was also told he get a run with one of the belts or the king of the ring win, and when vince kept putting him off he got pissed and left. Perfect was pencilled in as KOTR winner but Vince gave it to Bret to keep him sweet because Hogan didn't want to work with him at Summerslam as promised yeah i knew that and one of the reasons ive always had a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to bret & shawn. perfect was my fav and it was so cool he turned good and he shoulda got something in 93, but they screwed him out of it!

I know i'll be an island onto myself with this thought - but I think there was untapped potential with Paul Roma; he could have been "the chosen one" under Arn's tutelage until an eventual turn. He had the look. Benoit was another great choice, but I actually think Malenko was as far from a horseman as a horseman can be. I was never a Mongo fan, he just looked like a big old Jock. I mean the horsemen at one point had serious muscle in Sid, so Mongo just can't compare. With his Flamboyant personality he didn't need to be in this group. The whole nWo story arc hurts me to no end. Sure they revived the company in the mid 90s and made it number one, but it also killed WCW. The nWo cannibalized itself with so many spin-off factions, nWo, B&W, lWo, oWo, Wolfpac, bWo...ugh. The story arc should have had the Horsemen coming back together at the very end with new recruits (like Avengers Endgame) to combat the nWo and finally seize back power on the last Nitro - that would have been an epic way to go out and a nod to the 20+ years of JCP. during the ratings war, they kinda didnt have a choice, the money they were spending turner was wanting that win, so they had to keep doing new and exciting things on TV. But I agree it killed alot of wrestling in both federations. Not to mention the high we all kept getting form new turns and run ins of new characters coming to WCW, they kinda ruined the little things for us to enjoy. kinda like porn does to our brain and makes everything else not fun/exciting/enjoyable.

I have never really been a fan of Paul Roma anyway. He did good with Paul Orndorff as a tag team. I'll take Steve McMichael over him as a member of the Four Horsemen. I also liked them going up against the NWO. I only liked Roma with Herc in Power and Glory That was his best role for sure. but i like young stallions too. they were a solid team.

Jim Cornette said in his latest podcast that in 1990 there were plans of putting Eaton and Lane with Arn and Flair to be the Horsemen. Jim Herd nixed the idea. I don’t know if they would last until 96, but that would have been a great version of the group that would have lasted awhile. flair/luger/midnight ex woulda been a good 4 horseman when brain busters left nwa.

Hennig in the 4H was never going to happen. Like everyone else? He wanted to be n the nWo & his 4H run was only ever a setup. The 4H for me never had any meaning after the Flair,AA, Windham & Sid version. That was the last time I cared about the faction Roma, Malenko, Mongo, Pillman? none of them were 4H material for me....awful pity about Tullys WWF exit and WCW re-entry in 89. i agree with the flair/arn/sid/barry faction as the last of real 4 horseman for me too. henning was a perfect fit imo tho.
