:-X I wonder why they never thought of it too.....oh wait they did, and the company that use to sell RSC exclusives went out of business about 5-7 years ago...… Think they were called blocked, I'm not sure if the new domain holders are the same people. Most of the time it was still cheaper to order in bulk from ringside during sale time. Almost as though a company that does a handful of UK orders a week can't dictate their prices to UPS....

Another one that will be back to retail price in month or so.
I have seen 8 people bragging on Facebook about how they bagged the 8 limit. They will saturate the market because they are greedy plebs.
Action figure attack told me that Entertainment Earth set the limits.
These exclusives are crippling the community.
All I can see on FB are people selling collections. I recently bought 2 collections for about £1000. I got about 80 figures I needed and sold the rest for 1000 quid individually. They were all newer than Elite 60.
And it's the same reason over and over. "I can't keep up with the cost of exclusives."
I can't complain personally. I got Dunne, Backlund, Black, sanity for absolutely peanuts, but watching these lines implode is very sad. I give it 6-12 months before smyths stop stocking Elites.

Want me to grab you one Monday mate? I pass it regularly. Assume they will still be there, as there were 6 or 7. Please be aware that maske2g will use the above tax formula to calculate his charge to you On a serious note I do not buy figures from abroad for the postage and tax reason, I personally cannot justify the cost but individual mileage may vary on the matter. There is also the issue that traveling thousands of miles via numerous handlers means that the condition of the figure(s) can be at risk. I buy in bulk from a friend. I have been lucky quite a few times getting no charge. When the exchange rate was good you would get some good deals on single figures from Amazon. But the exchange rate is terrible and it's affecting us more than the VAT ever will in my opinion. Whilst I collect loose, I get most stuff shipped with box and keep them. I can honestly say in thousands of sales and purchases over the years, the damage is done on store shelves and warehouses before it reaches us 99.9% of the time. It takes a serious kicking to damage something IN a shipping box. The only consistent bad shipper I find is Amazon who often fold basic and double pack cards to fit it in smaller boxes. But that doesn't concern me and I always claim compensation.

There were numerous posts a few years back, that Mattel had literally ran out of legends to make. Names like Pat Patterson and Terry Taylor, still work for WWE and are absolutely scraping the barrel. A few names, such as Mabel were a complete shock. Names that were in the concussion lawsuit could get figures depending how much grovelling they do to WWE to get back on good terms I guess. Funny that after nearly 10 years of Mattel figures, people still base Mattels global demand off of their local Walmart. 1 of 6000 stores is a good measuring stick if you want to be wrong I guess..... It’s a good measuring stick that everyone’s stores are usually crap on this whole board. That’s not just going off one store Also Mattel wasted so many names that they had signed, and did nothing with them that they could have Rick Martel (blue, Strike Force) Crush (multiple looks) Smash (Repo Man) Demolition repaints One Man Gang Superstar Billy Graham Jericho (WCW, Codebreaker, 500 other looks thru the years) Greg Valentine I’m sure others too. They make 3 Fred Ottoman figures in a year, but stall on names like Sting, Hogan, Jericho. Makes zero sense Choices that they are making (Bill I guess?) will come back to bite them, in turn hurting us as the collector portion of this line - Shinsuke Ult Edition. Really? - That Asuka he had planned will take up in an Elite spot. She can’t even stay relevant on tv - the shower time Rusev was an idiotic idea in the first place Amongst other decisions That is naive in the extreme. Do people come on here to say how good their Target is at the moment? No, they buy their figs they go home and post them on Insta. People only come on here to moan that they can't get figures. Demolition, Rick Martel, and Akeem didn't sell the first time. So why would they have made repaints straight away? Then their deals expired.

My local, Loughton has a number of them reduced to £5, as well as Rusev, Simon English, KO, and some basics down to 3-7 quid. Ive confirmed previously that stores have a remit to but extra discounts on certain items that aren't selling, these figures didn't surprise me in the slightest. Wish mine would reduce those to £5. I wouldn't even mind Rusev being £15. I never understood why he went up 1p to £20. Must be a Rusev Day tax. Want me to grab you one Monday mate? I pass it regularly. Assume they will still be there, as there were 6 or 7.

I feel like I'm talking to brick walls in here sometimes, and advise everyone to buy my soon to be available course, "How to make money selling action figures." If that sounds like a joke it isn't. I've written this formula out in here numerous times, Tax for that figure should have been 88 quid. Scott! you actually underpaid. Now, next time any of you are wondering what your tax bill would be, please use this in Excel, if your shipping plus item costs over £18. In Cell A1 put the figure price. In Cell B1 put the SHipping cost In Cell C1 put the Currency rate. In Cell D1 put this formula. =(((A1+B1)÷C1)×0.2)+8 Price Shipping FX conversion Final bill 450 57 1.26 £88.47 The sooner everyone starts treating no tax bill as a bonus, not the norm, the less shocks you will get.

I'm not sure why everyone is surprised at Smyths. Everyone was forwarded 2-3 years ago in this forum, numerous times. Support your best service because they won't accept losing money forever. Well,. Everyone caught the home bargains bug, and Smyth's lost money, and now they order less and less figures. Go figure.... Basics still do very well in London and Essex. Elites are rotting shelves as no one in the UK knows half of the wrestlers in these waves. I do think Mattel's waves are done completely wrong, all the good figures that would sell well are exclusives. All the ones that don't are just in random series. Backwards logic imo I disagree totally. Every mid card classic wrestler since Elite 39 has sold awfully in this country. Sherri, Backlund Pat Patterson, etc etc would be worse here. As for Pete Dunne, he has wrestled on TV a handful of times. WWE Network fans in England are the minority

Just made my first ever Ringside order. Went for Ultimate Edition Ronda Rousey, Top Picks 2019 Elite Finn Balor and RSC Brian Kendrick. Came out to $107 including shipping but it's figures I desperately want or have wanted for a while. Treat yo' self! Here is a good example from GB Gav. 107 bucks including shipping. Lets say he got a crap rate from his bank of 1.25. £85.60 (£85.60 *1.2)+8 = 110.72 Expected customs charge is 25 quid.

Yeah I get that, but if you're ordering a full set then get him with a £30 custom charge would it not be better to pay say £10 and just avoid it completely. You said price it in, if they did that you wouldn't have to price it in. It'd be there with your order. I prefer ordering things from America with the import fee already included, because I've been hit with £50 & £60 fees before on Classic Figures. I'd rather know its paid and I don't have to worry about it. I think the Customs charge/what you pay with eBay's Global Shipping method is pretty much the same as the Customs charge you'd get anyway though... whenever I've worked it out, it always seems quite expensive and not really worth it. I tend to stay away from things shipped using the Global Shipping method... it just seems you're definitely paying an often expensive fee - whereas sometimes when I've ordered things (even costing over $100) using normal/standard shipping services, I've not been charged any Customs fees. So I'd rather order things this way - knowing there will likely be a Customs charge and taking that into account - but also have a chance of not getting any additional fees at all. (...hope that makes sense, lol). Yes Steve you are right, it is expensive, and that is not because of the customs charge, it's because ebay's global shipping amount is usually an arbitrary expensive one that they plucked from the sky.

Why in gods name would you want that? A guaranteed fee, instead of a small percentage chance of no fee at all. Just price it in, always. You're going to get a fee. If you don't it's a bonus. I prefer ordering things from America with the import fee already included, because I've been hit with £50 & £60 fees before on Classic Figures. I'd rather know its paid and I don't have to worry about it. The maths are simple. 20% of goods and shipping cost, plus 8 quid. It doesn't matter if you are buying wrestling figures or a own private jet. Accept that and anything under it is a bonus. I've had plenty of private parcels in the 200-300 dollar range ignored by customs. You aren't going to get a 10 quid charge for anything. The cheapest possible customs charge is £11.60 on a total cost of 18 quid. And if someone buys something for 9 quid, paying 9 quid delivery, and then gets hit by an 11.60 charge, then that is poor on their part.

I honestly think Ringside should do the same as what eBay do in regards to the Global Shipping service. Like have a fee that you pay when you order that guarantees no custom charge. For you guys that order from there a lot, it would make sense. I don’t know how it would work on Ringsides end, but I’d be more inclined to order the exclusives from there rather than eBay if there was a guaranteed no import charge. Why in gods name would you want that? A guaranteed fee, instead of a small percentage chance of no fee at all. Just price it in, always. You're going to get a fee. If you don't it's a bonus.
