If you want a good zombie story check out The Walking Dead. But if you liked Kick-Ass then you might want to check out some other Mark Millar books like Wanted.
As to where to shop comic shops are usually the best place but most bookstores also have not bad selections of graphic novels and also there is always Amazon.
The price for books are usually the same everywhere since they have the price printed on the back of them, but places like Amazon usually have them at discounted prices and sometimes comic shops do have clearance days.
Hopefully that helps.

I recommend The Scourge. Its a mini series....but its shaping up really well. Less comic like and more movie like than anything.

Scott Pilgrim or Kick-Ass? I loved both movies, but enjoyed Pilgrim more. (I prefer story over anything so, yeah.)

I have a question about the Kick Ass comic series. Did the series end where the movie ended or did it continue on with the story?

if it's written by hickman, there's no real question to it's value...it'll be well written. however, it's really a question of if you like the concept of the fantastic four or not...i never have, so i didn't bother with the series.

Completely new to comics, Have TPB's of Deadpool Circle Chase & Sins of the Past and Marvel Zombies with Ash from Evil Dead.
I'd like to get in to buying issues though as I like collecting stuff in general. So are these series' any good?
Uncanny X Men Amazing Spider Man New Avengers
And if you could only pick one to get out of the three, what would it be?

I'd like to get in to buying issues though as I like collecting stuff in general. So are these series' any good? Uncanny X Men Amazing Spider Man New Avengers And if you could only pick one to get out of the three, what would it be? My favorite out of the three right now is the Amazing Spider-Man. I'd pick that one. It's been consistently good-to-great for months now. Uncanny X-Men has been hit-or-miss. They're getting a new writer soon so it might get a bit better, but the biggest problem is the artist, Greg Land, who can be absolutely horrible. All his women look the same, are consistently in poses, and sometimes he'll shadow faces to avoid drawing them. It's just lazy and it brings the book down a lot. I haven't gotten into the latest rendering of New Avengers yet because I'm just trying to limit the amount of monthly comics I get. My pick would be the Amazing Spider-Man out of the three. It's a bi-monthly comic. Check out a few of the most recent TPB's, too. There's some great stories with the Lizard and Kraven the Hunter. But everything from issue 648 to now has been gold.

Uncanny X-Men. Get Uncanny X-Force. Yesssss. It really depresses me how all over the place Uncanny X-Men is and how Greg Land STILL has a job at Marvel, but Uncanny X-Force makes it all better. Rick Remender managed to humanize DEADPOOL of all character, and made it WORK. Plus, I'm a big fan of Fantomex, so seeing him at the center of everything last issue made me happy. With the announcement that X-Force is going into the AoA to get a character to be named, I bet it just gets better and better.

I'd like to add onto my previous post of saying how awesome X-Force is. 5.1 is another fantastic issue.

Walking Dead is not only one of the best comics but I think one of the best zombie stories ever told, if not the best.

Any thoughts on these comics would be really helpful:
Bone Starman Jack Kirby's Fourth World Animal Man (also any recommendations on other Morrison books that aren't Batman would be awesome too) Transmetropolitan Planetary Lost Girls Strangers in Paradise The Red Star

Gotta drop in this thread to recommend Jonathan Hickman's SECRET WARRIORS to anyone who likes Nick Fury, espionage, complex plots, crazy characters, backstabbing, intrigue, incredible art, and all around just good comics.
