1. Jumbo Tsuruta PROS: He could sell. He would raise a fist and the crowd would go crazy. The crowd would react to ANY move he did. He knew exactly when to do it, too, in order to bring the crowd to their feet. He had loads of charisma and as soon as "J" hit, you knew who was coming with the crowd chanting "Oh, Tsur-uu-uuta!". He had quite possibly the greatest matches in the 80s; a string of them. He was very athletic for his size and could pull off a fantastic dropkick with great agility for a 280 lb guy. And last but not least, he was the master of the backdrop suplex. CONS: He tended to oversell his back a little too much. When he would take a shoulder block, he would flop around like a fish after each one. Besides that, there isn't really anything. 2. Ric Flair PROS: He was a fantastic wrestler and he could work with JUST ABOUT anyone. He was great on the mic, was oozing charisma and just had the flamboyant-like appearance wherever he went. CONS: When put up against a bad wrestler, he usually had a bad match, which means that he wasn't able to carry his subpar opponents very well. 3. Kenta Kobashi PROS: He is a legend and has accomplished A LOT in his twenty-year career. Not to mention, those weren't a full twenty years. He has charisma. He has mic skills. He has burning spirit and never quits. He has had loads and loads of MOTYs. He has great agility for his size, as he can pull off a pretty good moonsault. He can sell to perfection. He knows what the crowd wants at each of second of the match and gives it to them. AMAZING drawing power. Simply put, he is the smartest wrestler of all-time. CONS: With all the pros, there is a pretty major con. Not that it affects his in-ring work, but he is VERY injury-prone. Besides that, I don't see anything else. 4. Mitsuharu Misawa PROS: He could have a good match with just about anyone. He was probably the best singles wrestler in the world throughout the 90s. He very rarely receives an injury. CONS: He cannot sell if his life depended on it. The dude just cannot sell at all. 5. Dynamite Kid PROS: He was the innovator of the styles we see today. His matches with Tiger Mask I will go down as classics and it was not only Tiger Mask that put those matches together. It was Dynamite Kid as well. CONS: He didn't have charisma or mic skills. Now that you've posted DVD-VR's top list, get a unique opinion.

This is a really good question, and is hard to answer but in my opinion id say
1. Ric Flair- I say Flair is number b/c wat didnt he do in the buisness, he could wrestle like nonoe other, he had the looks, the bad guy personality, he could make anyone like he did w/ Sting, Windham, Luger, he could go to any terrtitory and make there main guy look like he was king. Also who isnt Ric Flair not an inspiration too in the buisness today.
2. Hulk Hogan- I know he didnt do much wrestling, but wat he did do for wrestling was bringing it were its at today. His charisma is just out of this world, you couldnt break this man in the sport, ask Hiro Matsuda! wat he did for the sport is just way to much not to put him at number 2.
3. HBK- he is the second coming of Flair and u cant argue with that at all. Michaels was the man for so long, never having a bad match, still not ever having a bad match, i think hes got 1 more reign as champion in him, hes Mr. WrestleMania for crying out loud. His charisma is out of this world and he has major love for the sport.
4.Dusty Rhodes- The american dream!!!! one of my personal favorites, hour long matches every night, the abosolute best on the mic, his behind the scenes roles in the buisness, if this man would have had the right kind of push behind him in the wwf, he woulda been a stare and beyond. His charsima goes out this world, the man loved what he did.
5. Steve Austin- He changed the buisness back in the 90's in the same way Hogan did it in the 80's, Hoagn prolly made more money but Stone Cold did it his way, he was an unreal wreslter, on the mic, in the ringm he had it all, im personally waiting for that Hogan and Austin match at mania!!!!!
if i could pick top 10 6. Bret Hart 7.Undertaker 8.Kurt Angle 9.Eddie Guerrero 10.The Rock

Austin: People may not be aware of this but he was a bigger draw than Hogan and made more money in the WWE in a single year than anyone else could in a single year. Also a great wrestler with argueably the best Wrestlemania record for great matches also amazing on the mic.
Hogan: Whilst Austin could outdraw Hogan, Hogan was drawing for years and without Hogan the wouldn't have been a stage for Austin to do what he did. His wrestling wasn't great but his charisma made up for it.
Fliar: Could do it all and did it all for years, one of a kind.
Undertaker: Biggest wrestling draw in Europe ever and could wrestle, plus was the WWF's highest TV ratings drawing champion even. Can still wrestle is still over and is only further cementing his career could possibly be #3 by the time his career is over.
Randy Savage: Was like Hogan with talent and I was always a bigger fan of him and I believe if Vince didn't end up hating him for whatever reason he could have drew for WWE insted of HBK and Bret although HBK and Bret did a great job.
Inoki/Jumbo/El Santo : I don't know enough about these guys only they were very over in their countries.

ive heard the same thing about austin outselling hogan but you have remember a) ticket prices increasing from hogans top years '85 to ' 88 to austins '98 to '00 b) the avalibility of merchandise. you had to order hogans stuff and get it at the matches austins was at walmart and everyother place c) austin had hhh rock taker and foley to help him sellout stadiums hogan had to pretty much sell the stadium out himself

with all the big names named already, i'm not gonna make my list. what i will do is throw the name Harley Race into the mix. 7 times nwa champion, legit tough guy, legit drinker, legit legend. he has so much respect from his peers that he must have done something right. his name deserved to be mentioned.

1-Bret Hart The greatest wrestler ever. While he may not of had the impact that #2 or #3 did, as far as being a wrestler goes, nobody was better.
2-Ric Flair Nobody had the longevity and total package like Flair. The greatest to ever do it.
3-Hulk Hogan He was the driving force to make Vince's plan a reality. He took wrestling to the next level
4-Steve Austin He was the name that saved WWF when it was suffering and without him I don't wrestling as we know it would exist right now.
5-Shawn Michaels Can play the heel and the face really well, and has had a bunch of really great matches over the years.
6-10 in no order
Rock Kurt Angle Sting Chris Benoit Mr. Perfect

i'll stick to wwe/f guys as im not too familiar with guys of the 80's and japan but heres my top in no order
1) hbk- he's done it all and puts on better wm matches than anyone out there. can work a mic, draw, and a key guy to today and the 90's(93-97 in particular)
2) bret hart- one of THE guys in the 90's to carry wwf . watching wrestling then, memorable matches always had bret in them and was the go to guy. with out him and hbk, who knows what wwf would have become
3) undertaker-a key guy in the attitude era(other than rock/austin/hhh) and can still go after his debut in 92. and lets face it, as stale as some people think he is, he can still draw and play the mind games
4) austin-as someone stated earlier, he brought wrestling back into being popular and ushered in the new era that many of us know now. Though, without the feud with bret and the their match at wm13, i think things may have been different.
5) hogan- ive never been a fan of hogan but i'll be one of the first people to say he is wrestling and made it what was and made it in pop culture and arguably the most recognized wrestler of all time(along with rock and austin)
other mentionables benoit mr. perfect kurt angle macho man

Top 5 Greatest Professional Wrestlers of All Time 1. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair - Your job as a professional wrestler is to make people pay money to watch you wrestle. You do that by making yourself, your opponent, and your match more important to the fan than anything else in their life at that moment. Nobody did that better than Ric Flair. 2. Hulk Hogan - Hulk Hogan made professional wrestling into a religion for millions of people. He was more than a wrestler, he was the architect of the movement that cemented pro wrestling's place in popular culture. He created the foothold that made it possible for all those that came after him to climb the mountain to immortality. 3. Dusty Rhodes - Nobody could make you feel wrestling like Dusty Rhodes. He was there with you, and you were there with him. Whether times were good, bad, easy, or hard, whether you were making millions of dollars or standing in a soup line, "The American Dream" was right behind you, and he made you do the same for him. 4. Triple H - More so than anyone else, Triple H is a bridge from the past to the future. He has the unique ability to conjure memories of legends past, while simultaneously engraving his own legacy in the minds of fans of both "professional wrestling" and "sports-entertainment." Love him, or despise him, when Triple H is gone, "wrestling" will NEVER be the same. 5. (Tie) "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - Steve Austin was the man that breathed life into a semi-stagnant professional wrestling, more specifically, WWF. In an ironic way, he picked up where Hogan left off. In an era that was chronically pissed off at authority, Austin was the ultimate middle finger to the establishment. He did what he wanted, and what the fans wanted, all at the same time. Perhaps no one was better at being a representative for the fans than Steve Austin. 5. (Tie) Shawn Michaels - A great man once told me that, "Anything you do often, becomes ordinary." Such is the case for the monikers often associated with "HBK". Alias' such as, "The Icon", "The Main Event", and "Mr. Wrestlemania" are not to be taken lightly. Any one man that can embody something as great, important, and legendary as Wrestlemania, deserves nothing less than status amongst wrestling's timeless heroes. As long as Shawn Michaels is a professional wrestler, I will watch wrestling.

Am I the only one that realizes the greatness of Hot Rod? guess so. He was top three along with Dusty and Rock on the mic of all time. But he wasn't much of a wrestler. I mean never letting people get over on him. (only pinned twice in wwe) what's all that about? Only match I ever thought was classic was his Bret match. Lets face it Bret made the match.

Flair - One of the best mic men ever, and could back it up in the ring, without a problem..
Hogan - The biggest draw, ever, and had the look.. He could also have a great match..
Shawn - Charisma... He's oozing of it.. Plus he has amazing starpower.. He also is one of the best wrestlers ever..
Piper - Charisma, he was oozing it too.. He could draw amazing heat, and had a lot of good matches..
Rhodes - He's other that has charisma coming out of his ears.. He too had amazing starpower, and had amazing matches..
Top 6-10 Terry Gordy Curt Hennig Steamboat Guerrero Bockwinkel

I truely hate how alot of WF'ers are all over Japanese Wrestler's dicks. Not to mention Duthy Rhodes isn't the greatest either.
I have to go with these in order.
Ric Flair - No explaination needed Bret Hart - The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Greatest submission/technical wrestler ever as well. Undertaker - This is pretty much my own biased opinion, ever since I was young I worshiped Taker. Curt Hennig - See Flair Ricky Steamboat - Just a pure wrestler in his own right. Great ability in the ring, and had some of the greatest matches ever with the likes of Flair and Savage.
Props to Terry Funk, Austin, Rock, and Sting

I truely hate how alot of WF'ers are all over Japanese Wrestler's dicks. Maybe it's because said wrestler is an outstanding wrestler... no? Race has nothing to do with it. If they can go, they can go.

I've seen quite a few Jumbo Tsuruta matches, the guy is really nothing special. Yet everyone is all over him like he's the greatest thing ever.
And Tyger, that would have been somewhat funny if I didn't list Bret Hart as #2 on my list.

But that in no way means he's bad. If you don't like Tsuruta, you more than likely wouldn't like Harley Race or Billy Robinson.
