I've seen quite a few Jumbo Tsuruta matches, the guy is really nothing special. Yet everyone is all over him like he's the greatest thing ever. When you can tell the difference between KENTA and Kenta Kobashi.... get back to me

And Tyger, that would have been somewhat funny if I didn't list Bret Hart as #2 on my list. Jumbo Tsuruta isn't for everyone. His style is completely different than everyone on your list. But that in no way means he's bad. If you don't like Tsuruta, you more than likely wouldn't like Harley Race or Billy Robinson. Well, he sure as hell is not for me and I like Harley Race so...

Whether you like Harley Race or not, you can't deny there were major similarities in their wrestling styles in the 70s.

1) Hulk Hogan - He is the biggest star in the history of the business. He took three different companies to the highest levels they had been when he was pushed as their top star. To this day, he could still be used in a big WrestleMania match just to add with the "big match feel" his name generates. Think of the events he has headlined and crowds he has drawn.
2) Ric Flair - Great at getting good matches out of people. Great interviews and always instantly conjures up great memories. He is overrated to an extent, if you compared his star value to Hogan's.
3) Steve Austin - If Austin would have had more longevity, maybe he could have rivaled Hogan and Flair, but 3-4 years on top just can't justify 20 years of the above two.
* For the next two spots, it would be very hard because internationally, this is probably where Inoki would come in at, but Andre the Giant should also be recognized for his stardom and contributions to the business. Then, there is The Rock, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Randy Savage, and Bret Hart.
4) Randy Savage - I will always think Hulk Hogan is the real Mr. WrestleMania because of the number of them that he headlined and the fact that Hulkamania was running wild before there was a WrestleMania. Regardless, if we went by match ratings for a Mr. WrestleMania... I think Savage would be above Michaels. Think of his WrestleMania performances.... WM 4 - the tournament, WM 5 - a good match in the main event with Hogan, WM 3 - The classic with Steamboat, WM 7 - Stole the show with arguably the Warrior's best match, and WM 8 - the classic with Flair. The forgotten legend deserves his props.
5) The Rock - Another amazing performer that perhaps could have rivaled Hogan and Flair if he had more longevity, but he didn't.

1) Ric Flair - The greatest of all time, in Ring, out of the Ring, on the Mic and what he did for the Wrestling Business.
2) Kurt Angle - I think he has the oppertunity to surpass Ric Flair, as long as he one day returns to the WWE. In terms of a Wrestler, and passion for Wrestling, he beats anyone.
4) Stone Cold Steve Austin - Took the Company to all new heights, and without him I highly doubt the WWE would be half what it is today. He was quite possibly the greatest Champion ever.
3) Shawn Michaels - WWE's most loyal Wrestler of all time. Great performer and showman.
5) Bret Hart - Great Wrestler. Just a shame he wasn't around for longer in the WWE, otherwise he would have surpassed Shawn Michaels.

wow couldnt disagree more. of course this is all opinion but imo you'll be hard pressed to find many who share your opinion. hbks best years were certinally not with the rockers i mean come on. i could even respect your opinion if you said his ic run but the rockers lol. his mach with brett is widely recognised as the greatest wm matche of all time. i disagree but whatever i liked his wm 11 and 23 match. and even though he was hurt his 14 is another classic. he actually was a good draw as champion not great but better in the usa than brett its just wwe was strugling taker as wel couldnt draw well as champ during those years I wouldn't go so far as to say they were crappy draws as wrestling after the steriod and sex scandel was in the crapper. If not for Bret and Shawn who knows if wwe would have survived. Kind of unfair to compare them to the two biggest draws of all time(Hogan and Austin) I agree I have never been able to watch the iron man match without fast forwarding the middle. The last ten minutes are pure gold though. Personally my favorite HBK wm match is him and Jericho. The ball shot is great. Most think his Angle is perhaps the greatest wm match ever though. Very true regarding HBK-Jericho, tremendous match. I think that he was talking about HBK's main events at WM as opposed to all his matches.

Gorgeous George- without him there would be no gimmicks. No valets either.
Dick the Bruiser- if you like Harley Race, Stone Cold, Sandman, Terry Funk, or even Bruiser Brody you can thank the original Bruiser.
Hulk Hogan- say what you want, but this man brought wrestling to mainstream society. Anyone who bought his mixer can attest to this.
Andre the Giant- he was the biggest star of the 70's in more than just physical terms. He too transcended pro wrestling.
Antonio Inoki- might as well be royalty in Japan.

1. HBK - Best overall in the ring, decent to good mic work, longevity. Best overall. 2. Bret Hart - Second best in ring technically to HBK in my book, GREAT storyteller can do good matches with anyone. Not the best mic work though he improved with time. 3. Jericho - Incredible in the ring, innovative and incredible mic skills and gimmick. 4. Flair - Great in the ring and put on epic long matches often. Incredible and revolutionary mic skills and his longevity and legends speaks for itself. 5. Undertaker - excellent in the ring, has churned out great matches consistently for years. Extremely over gimmick, good mic skills and locker room leader.
I know many people would think Hogan should be here and though he is a beyond massive draw, I personally find the in-ring talent most important so Hogan didnt go here.
