Some experts fear that Obama being elected President could cause another Baby Boom.
As if we don't have enough useless people having even more useless children by the truck load.....I say we make babies ILLEGAL for about 15 years and try and get the population down.

This is what my boss is saying now "Obama is the anti-Christ"
"I think its funny how black people voted for Obama because they thought he is black even though he really is half white half Muslim"
"You need to do your reseach and then you will find out Obama's name is Greg Obama"
And she is also saying One of Nostradamus Predictions is "A man in his 40's who is a Muslem will take office and the world will end in 2012"

As if we don't have enough useless people having even more useless children by the truck load.....I say we make babies ILLEGAL for about 15 years and try and get the population down. Why are they saying that? What's the underlying thinking? Well I'm assuming you don't know enough to know what caused the original Baby Boom, so I will give you a history lesson. In November of 1960 when John F. Kennedy won the Presidential Election....the young people in the United States were overcome with joy and optimism at the prospects of having such a young charismatic President. Optimism and hope are a powerful aphrodisiac, and thus the number of children born in August of 1961 was the largest this country had ever seen.....Barack Obama was even born in August of 1961...NINE MONTHS after JFK won the election. This is what is called a 'Baby Boom". Experts fear that people who are not familiar or experienced enough in politics and may be overjoyed and think that "mission accomplished" and "problems solved", people will start having more children because they think the Country is fine simply because we have a young and black President, and it may cause another Baby Boom. I teach History and Social Studies and have bachelors degrees in Political Science and Social Studies.....so this makes perfect sense to me.

I still have no idea how Palin could wind up being Senator when she's currently the governor and isn't running for Senator.

Obama picks Tom Daschle as his Health and Human Services secretary and also re-iterates his priority of implementing his healthcare plan. (Ye gads, I have no idea how we're going to afford that but I really hope he does.) Hillary is supposedly mulling the Secretary of State job.

It's down to Hillary or Richardson. Kerry just got a Senate chair seat.
Supposedly the constitution prohibits Hillary from being SoS. It says something like a Senator who has gotten a pay raise cannot be appointed to a cabinet position. It's something odd like that.

Article One, Section Six, also known as the emoluments clause. ("Emoluments" means things like salaries.) It says that no member of Congress, during the term for which he was elected, shall be named to any office "the emoluments whereof shall have been increased during his term." This applies, we're advised, whether the member actually voted on the raises or not.
In Clinton's case, during her current term in the Senate, which began in January 2007, cabinet salaries were increased from $186,600 to $191,300. This situation has arisen before, most famously in the case called "The Saxbe Fix," but it involves a controversial, somewhat tortured reading of the Sacred Document.

Ah, I see. The logic being that you can't vote for a pay raise for an office and then assume that office. Can't argue with the logic.

Why would you let the Constitution get in the way of something you want to do?

Why would you let the Constitution get in the way of something you want to do? The constitution has been changed more than once and I'm sure it will be changed many more times.

U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's top choice to lead the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, CNN reported on Wednesday, citing multiple sources.
And there goes our chance for taking McCain's Senate seat.
A poll a day or two before election day showed McCain losing his Senate seat to Napolitano.
This also gives Arizona a Republican Governor.

The Lt Gov in AZ is a Republican when the governor is a Democrat? That's very strange.
