Does anyone think England has a better chance of winning the World Cup? They look like their gonna do much better then last time. They should smash Poland since they got Rooney, Sturrige, Walcott, Welbeck etc.

It won't stop our media spouting ''iz dis da year?'' though.

Let's hope we make it past the quarters this time and hope we smash all the crap teams. Let's also hope we don't get screwed again.

If, say England did get to the quarters then there will be no ''crap teams'' left. Probably only teams that are better than England anyway. Can think of 7 teams superior to them.

2002 and 2006 were our chances. If Giggs had picked England we would've done much better imo as the left was always the problem. In 2006 we could've had a central 3 of Scholes sitting with Gerrard and Lampard running on, with Giggs and Beckham on the wings then Rooney in the middle. That would've been threatening to any team.

Thank God another awful campaign is over for Wales. I can't actually believe the amount of praise Coleman got for a 1-0 win at home to Macedonia last Friday... How he has managed to cover up the shambles other than the past 2 results is beyond me. Granted the draw away in Belgium is really good, but they had nothing to play for. I hope Coleman's contract isn't renewed.

Coleman has got no excuse now though, if he starts to mess up then give him the boot. We have got some young talented players coming though. Didn't see the Belgium game so dunno how that youngster is. Hell, even Vaughan played well against Macedonia. Usually he's terrible but that's probably due to the weakness of the opposition. Centre back is where we are weakest especially in depth as shown in the last few games. Williams and Rickets seem Coleman's starters but I think Collins is a beast each time I see him in a Wales shirt. Whatever happened to Darcey Blake? There was another regular under Speed I thought about the other day too who wasn't called up.

Crazy to think he was playing for Stirling Albion a few years ago.

This is a Who Scored English XI based off of this season. Seems fair.

We could easily beat Chile and Germany if England play good enough. Most likely they'll beat Chile 1-0 or 2-0 and Germany 1-0. If we were to lose to Germany then I don't see us getting killed 4-1 again but probably 1-0 or 2-1. Would give us some good momentum going into the World Cup in the Summer.

I doubt Chile will be a walk in the park. They have some very good players.
I agree with Mike, Germany are my tip for the World Cup too.

He's been great for us but it's sometimes hard to see how great he really is when he doesn't have the quality around him at Cardiff.

Friendlies mean jack crap. Your opinion means jack crap. But yes, they mean nothing.LOL. In a way he is right about friendlys but since the WC is coming up soon and England just qualified recently, it'll be interesting to see how they do. People have been predicitng Germany for years and they always fail to win the WC so I'll go with Spain again. They won it last time and won the last two Euros. Hope England makes it to at least the semis.
