Vel- Why Braddock over Kaval we all know who is better, Morrison deserves much better than Vel, not sure about Hade over Dreamer but at least it makes the Brood look v strong, PPV card looks very good esp the main event I'm thinking 30 mins not 60 right? Y2J and Taker never faced off before I rather it be used for a bigger PPV maybe it could lead to a bigger PPV gimmick match, RAW- Rhodes has been built up well I expect him to hold his own, tag match sounds good putting two possible PPV oppenents against each other, I'm guessing we will see MVP/JBL at the Bash, the IC match could have been on the PPV well maybe not because of the Ironman match but should be a barn burner i doubt Evan will win but it would be nice if he did, good luck and keep this up

July 20th, 2009 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York Attendance: 15,571
Raw opens with a bang as the opening video highlights Cody Rhodes pinning John Cena in the World Tag Team Championship match two weeks ago. It then shows Eric Bischoff make the announcement that Rhodes would receive a title shot right here tonight in Long Island. After the opening pyrotechnics, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole introduce us to the show and hype up tonight’s big matches. They also inform us that Eric Bischoff has promised to announce the final match for this Sunday’s The Bash Pay-Per-View!At that moment, Eric Bischoff’s theme plays as he makes his way to the ring. He gets on the microphone and begins talking about how he’s done everything he can to keep Raw as the flagship show in the WWE. Yet, Smackdown has the majority of the matches for this Sunday’s Bash card. Bischoff said he isn’t happy with that so he has decided that MVP will get his wish and he will go one on one with JBL at The Bash! This brings out The Cabinet and JBL immediately is upset with Bischoff. He tells him that he can’t decide who the Wrestling God faces and who he doesn’t. Bischoff says that he decision is final and JBL reluctantly agrees. He then promises to take out MVP tonight and make sure he doesn’t make it to The Bash. Bischoff makes him a deal saying that if JBL can pin MVP tonight, he won’t have to go against him this Sunday. JBL likes it and shakes hands with Bischoff as we go to commercial. Commercial Break. We return to see Tyler Reks and Johnny Curtis walking through the backstage area. They are suddenly attacked by Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard and they beat them down before saying that their issues come to an end next Monday.Singles Match Kaval vs. Paul Burchill w/ The British AllianceFor the past few weeks, Kaval has defeated both Burchill and Regal, but they’ve also beat him down. Burchill actually pinned him two weeks ago as well. Anyway, again this was a good match that Burchill controlled but Kaval made a comeback and rallied to put away Burchill after the Warrior’s Way. Winner: Kaval (7:00) ***As usual, after the match Regal got involved and began a beat down on the Warrior. Out ran R-Truth to make the save, as he has had some problems with the British Alliance lately. He cleared the ring and helped Kaval up, but he didn’t seem to want any help at all.Commercial Break.
Six Diva Tag Team Match Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle & Layla London vs. Kelly Kelly, Melina & Mickie JamesMuch like the six Diva match on Smackdown this past week, this was just a preview for the Divas Battle Royal this Sunday. It was pretty basic and the faces controlled the match until Kelly got caught in the ring with Beth. Kelly tried a hurricanrana but Beth reversed it into a power bomb. She picked up Kelly and nailed her with the Glam Slam to end it. Winners: Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle & Layla London (4:26) *½In the back, MVP is seen thanking Eric Bischoff for giving him a chance at JBL at The Bash. He isn’t too happy about the stipulation that was given to JBL earlier, but he promises to win tonight, at The Bash and keep his momentum going until SummerSlam.Commercial Break.Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by with the three members of Legacy. Dibiase Jr. says that tonight is going to be the most successful night in Legacy’s history. He promises to prove to the world that Bourne’s victory over him was a fluke. Rhodes then says that he will do the unthinkable and become a double champion tonight and become the youngest WWE Champion in history as he just turned 24 less than a month ago.Tag Team Match JBL & Triple H w/ The Cabinet vs. Batista & MVP w/ EveBatista and Triple H tore each other apart throughout this one as usual. After a while of back and forth action though, MVP ended up getting worked over by the heels. They cut the ring in half and pretty much dominated him. HHH was hitting him as if he were Batista, or maybe he just still remembers that MVP beat him at Judgment Day. Anyway, MVP managed to make the hot tag and in the end, Batista had HHH set for the Batista Bomb. JBL snuck in a tag moments before and ran in and knocked out Batista with the Clothesline from Hell for the win. Winners: JBL & Triple H (10:06) **½JBL was celebrating his major victory after the match, until Eric Bischoff came to the ramp. He congratulated JBL on his win, but did tell him that he must pin MVP in order to stop their match at The Bash from happening. So in six days, we will still witness MVP vs. JBL at The Bash! JBL is furious at this news.Commercial Break. In the back, JBL is still livid until Candice seductively attempted to calm him down. Then, he tells the rest of his Cabinet that things will work out in the end. He tells Paul & Gaspard that he wants to them to continue to focus on the tag team division and for Candice to win that battle royal at The Bash. He turns to Ryan Braddock and states that he wants to see that Intercontinental Title around his waist.Intercontinental Championship Evan Bourne (c) vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. w/ Joe HenningMuch like their two previous matches, this was very good. They were evenly matched throughout and it looked like neither man was going to grab the upper hand. It stayed that way for a while until Bourne nailed his double knee drop off the top. He covered but only got a two count. He then called for the Shooting Star Press, but Joe Henning got on the apron. Bourne then leaped off and dropkicked him. He got back into the ring and was met with a clothesline from Dibiase. He then set him up for the Dream Street, but elbowed his way out of it and caught him in a small package to retain his title. Winner and Still Intercontinental Champion: Evan Bourne (10:38) ***½Dibiase was in shock at the finish and Bourne celebrated up the ramp with his title in hand. The cameras cut to John Cena walking towards the arena with the WWE Title on his shoulder. He defends it in our main event, next!Commercial Break.
WWE Championship John Cena (c) vs. World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes w/ Joe Henning & Ted Dibiase Jr.Henning and Dibiase stayed at ringside after the previous match. This actually got a good amount of time and Rhodes did not get squashed as some expected. In fact, he held his own and even owned the mat wrestling portion in the early stages. Then Cena hit some of his big moves until Cody used some rest holds to wear down the Champ. They battled it out throughout a commercial break, until Cena nailed the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He covered but Rhodes kicked out. Cena hoisted him up for the FU, but Rhodes wriggled out of it, got behind him and nailed the Cross Rhodes. He covered and Cena put his foot on the ropes, but Henning pushed it off and Rhodes got the three. Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Cody Rhodes (13:24) ***¼The crowd was in pure shock and the announcers couldn’t believe what they saw either. John Cena has just been screwed out of the WWE Title and Rhodes is now the youngest WWE Champion in history! Eric Bischoff’s theme hits for the third time tonight. He promised the fans that he would be a fair General Manager and that’s what he’s doing. He shows the referee the replay of what just happened and that Henning knocked Cena’s foot off the bottom rope. He orders the match to restart! Rhodes doesn’t want to give up the Title as he was holding it and celebrating already. The match restarted and Rhodes went for the Cross Rhodes again, but Cena blocked it and sent him off the ropes for a shoulder block. He went for the FU again but Rhodes elbowed his way out of it. Rhodes then nailed him with a snap DDT but Cena kicked out. Rhodes ran off the ropes to deliver his trademark knee drop, but Cena hit him with a drop toe hold and locked on the STFU. Rhodes had no choice but to tap out. Winner and Still WWE Champion: John Cena (15:57) ***½Legacy was furious at the ending, but Cena stood tall and retained his Championship. Suddenly, he’s attacked as he celebrates by Triple H, who laid him out with a steel chair. He grabs the WWE Title and poses with it as the show cuts off.© WWE 2009

Eric Bischoff booking MVP versus JBL at The Bash was pretty nice. I like JBL coming out and complaining and the stipulation being put into effect that if JBL can defeat MVP tonight than their match at the Bash is called off. Kaval defeating Paul Burchill in the opening contest of the evening was good. I like R-Truth making the post-match save for Kaval as he too has been having a problem with Britain’s finest. I like the Priceless promo to help put over their matches tonight. The tag team match and JBL and Triple H winning makes sense. I love Eric Bischoff coming out and using a major loophole against the businessman, JBL. Evan Bourne retaining his IC Championship makes a lot of sense and I do not disagree at all. HOLY SHIT! Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena and is now the WWE Champion! I love Eric Bischoff being a fair general manager and restarting the match. John Cena retaining makes the most sense.

Decent opening segment, although with this being the last RAW before the pay per view I think the opening segment should have been bigger involving the talent involved in the title match. Good to see Kaval getting the win, not sure on a Kaval/ R-Truth alliance, Kaval seems more the lone wolf kind of guy to me. Decent six Diva's tag, helps build towards the big battle royal. While I can see why the tag match ended the way it did I think MVP and Batista should have got the win, MVP deserves the momentum more. Good to see Bourne retaining the title, hopefully he can keep it for a while longer. Rhodes was never going to win the WWE title, although it would have been interesting if the decision hadn't been overturned. Another solid show man, keep it up.

ECW 7/21/09 Preview-In just five days, ECW Champion Mr. Kennedy will have to defend his title against Kevin Thorn at The Bash. But, as a warm up, Thorn's mentor, Gangrel will step in the ring against Kennedy tonight. This will be Gangrel's first in ring action in years, can he pick up an upset victory? Or will Kennedy gain some big momentum heading into The Bash? -As announced last week, tonight we will witness a first for ECW. We will see an Extreme Rules Scramble match to determine who gets a Television Title match next week on ECW. The participants will be Dolph Ziggler, The Hurricane, Hade Vansen, Tyler Black & DJ Gabriel. Can Gabriel end his recent slump and gain a shot? Will The Hurricane prove that superheroes prevail? Can Dolph Ziggler pick up the biggest win of his career? Can the two Brood stablemates co-exist here, or will they be at each other's throats? -Recently, Ezekiel Jackson and Mark Henry have been slugging it out and last week they met in a singles match. Henry won by disqualification after Jackson assaulted the referee. Tonight, Jackson will team with Jack Swagger to do battle with Henry and Matt Hardy. Can Swagger and Jackson turn their singles success into tag success for one night? Or can Henry and Hardy stop their momentum? Tune into the Sci-Fi Network tonight at 9:00 PM for these answers and more!

Solid opening battle with Kaval/Burchill and good to see Kaval come up with the victory! Truth helping Kaval is pretty bad ass, but Kaval wanting nothing to do with it is realistic. Pretty meh divas 6-person. Love that JBL/Triple H won, but JBL didn't pin MVP! Excellent that JBL was mega pissed also! yes Bourne retains! And a small package just makes it even better man. WOAH! You scared me there man, as I thought Rhodes was going home with the belt. Good to see Cena retain though and a clever main event.

ECW kicks off with a video package showing Mr. Kennedy defeating Tyler Black in last week’s main event. It then showed the post match handshake between the two.Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to tonight’s show and hype up the main event where Gangrel makes his return to in ring action. They also talk about the Scramble Match for tonight. We are joined by The Brood to open the show, as they seem to really be the focal point of ECW lately. Thorn gets on the microphone and he talks again about taking over ECW when he wins the ECW Title at The Bash. Next he brings up the fact that Gangrel will soften up Kennedy for him tonight and prove that he still has it. He gets to his focal point though and that’s the Scramble Match tonight. He likes that The Brood has a 40% chance to win, but he made it clear that he wants Hade Vansen to win. Black demands to know why. Thorn tells him that it’s punishment for what he did last week. He not only lost to Mr. Kennedy but he had the audacity to shake hands with him. Thorn slaps Black and Black looks to retaliate, but decides not to. They leave as we go to commercial. Commercial Break.ECW Champion Mr. Kennedy is shown arriving at the arena with his title on his shoulder. He will be in our main event tonight!Non Title Match Television Champion Gavin Spears w/ Tiffany vs. The MizMiz was still upset over not being included in the Scramble match, so he demanded this non-title match. The match itself was decent, although Spears had to carry his opponent at times. In the end, Spears had Miz hooked for the Death Valley Driver, but an unfamiliar Spanish woman came running down and got on the apron. That distraction allowed Miz to get free and nail the Reality Check for the win. Winner: The Miz (5:03) **After the match, Tiffany ran to the Spanish woman, but she ended up by getting hit with a DDT. The Miz left with the Spanish woman up the ramp.
We go to a video package highlighting the return of Rey Mysterio in just a few short weeks!Commercial Break. We return from commercial to see Dolph Ziggler and Alicia Fox catch up with The Miz and the new Spanish diva. Ziggler asks who she is and Miz says that the Chick Magnet can’t be walking around without a chick, so he introduces her as his new arm candy, Miranda Rodriguez.Tag Team Match Ezekiel Jackson & Jack Swagger vs. Mark Henry & Matt HardyThis turned out to be a pretty solid tag team match. As one would expect, the heels took turns beating down on Matt Hardy for a while and showing their dominance. Swagger looked excellent in the ring as usual, and Jackson was just a monster. Eventually, Matt managed to hit the Side Effect on Swagger and he tagged in Henry. Henry allowed Swagger to get up and told him to tag in Jackson. He did so and the two big men went right at each other and ended up on the outside where they were both counted out. Double Count Out (7:29) **½Matt got in the ring and watched the two behemoths battle on the outside, but Swagger nailed him from behind and hit him with the Gutwrench powerbomb.Commercial Break.Number One Contender for Television Championship Scramble Match DJ Gabriel vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Alicia Fox vs. Hade Vansen vs. The Hurricane vs. Tyler BlackBlack and Ziggler kicked things off and got the crowd very into it. Every two minutes a new superstar entered and in order they were, The Hurricane, Gabriel & Vansen. Seven minutes in, we got our first pin, when Ziggler pinned Gabriel. He turned right around into a choke slam Hurricane for another pin. With just under three minutes remaining, everybody began to rush to get a pin. With just over a minute left, Hade Vansen nailed DJ Gabriel with a spike DDT to pick up a big late victory. He hid in the corner and Tyler Black blocked off anybody who tried to get to him. With about twenty seconds left, he had knocked down all the competitors and nailed a pele kick on Vansen. He picked him up and drilled him with God’s Last Gift to get a pin with eleven seconds left. He stood tall as the clock ran out. Winner: Tyler Black (10:00) ***¼The crowd went wild at Black’s victory and The Brood was seen in the back looking furious with Black’s decision to go against them.Commercial Break. We return to see Black enter The Brood’s locker room and get a verbal lashing out from Kevin Thorn. Thorn tells him to never disobey his orders and that he’s been very frustrated in him. Thorn then slaps him and tells him to stay in the back for the next match.Non-Title Match Gangrel w/ The Brood vs. ECW Champion Mr. KennedyAs expected, this wasn’t a great in ring match. Gangrel looked sluggish and Kennedy is great enough to carry him. But it told a decent story as Gangrel just seemed intent on injuring him before the big title match this Sunday. In the end though, Kennedy was just too much and put him away with the Mic Check. Winner: ECW Champion Mr. Kennedy (6:14) **Once Kennedy got the three, Thorn ran in and attacked him. The Brood beat down on him and Thorn finished it by nailing him with the Original Sin.© WWE 2009

ECW…July 21st 2009
Firstly, your YouTube video has been taken down “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by WWE” The opening segment is terrific and Thorne slapping Black was amazing. I love The Miz defeating Gavin Spears in the opening contest and I hope The Miz captures the Television Championship. I wonder who the mysterious Spanish Woman is, I am sure we will find out soon. Miranda Rodriguez is a bland name. Ezekiel Jackson & Jack Swagger vs. Mark Henry & Matt Hardy was a solid tag team match to continue some feuds. The double countout was a great finish. Tyler Black winning was foreshadowed earlier but I can not complain. Ken Kennedy defeating Gangrel in the main event was good. I was surprised Tyler Black did not save Ken Kennedy during the post match beat down.

Oooh, a Scramble #1 Contenders match, creative. Very well executed opening segment. Thorn, FTW! Bah, don't like The Miz but it's a storyline I suppose. Great way to end the tag match with a double countout, doesn't hurt none of the wrestlers which is good. Glad to see Swagger getting the upper hand afterwards. Tyler Black as the #1 Contender is good for the current storyline and was predictable in a way. Pinning Vansen was a clever move too. Don't like Gangrel been punked out, but it builds the storyline. I hope to see Thorn take Kennedy out at The Bash and become the new ECW Champion. Nice show, I look forward to The Bash.

Black possible face turn? I like The Miz going over Spears, I don't like Spears much at all. Spanish woman eh... not sure who but I guess a manager for Miz Miranda Rodriguez. very WWE Stereotypical Spanish name me thinks. Jackson + Swagger > Mark + Matt sounds cool, I like the countout ending. I also like Swaggaaaaa attacking Matt after the match. Black face turn.... COMPLETE! I think anyway... I hope Black wins the belt. I also like the likes of Hurricane being in there. Ah he goes back to the changing room, maybe not the face turn yet...? Kennedy > Gangrel wont make Thorn happy... I like the Thorn/Kennedy clash before The Bash. I wonder if you have Black take the title then turn or stay with Brood... this is great stuff though man. Keep it up

ECW on SyFy...Tuesday 21st July 2009...Yeah, I'm not too sure about The Brood opening each and every ECW it seems. It does set up for our main event bout between Gangrel and Mr Kennedy, however, so that's a good thing. Personally thought that The Miz and Gavin Spears was a slightly weak opening contest, but nontheless I am glad that Miz won, and hopefully soon we will see the ECW Television Championship change hands. Hmm, not sure where you're going with Jack Swagger and Ezekiel Jackson with Mark Henry and Matt Hardy, just seems slightly clustered together. Please push Swagger to the best of his abilities, though please. Meh, wasn't fond of the four-way match to determine a contender to the ECW Television Championship match. It fits in talent, but what will The Miz do? He just defeated Gavin Spears and rightfully, he should get the shot, not Tyler Black. And it seems probable now that The Brood will end up with all of the belts on the ECW brand. Mr Kennedy beating Gangrel is fine, wasn't a grand match as expected. There's been better ECW episodes, but this wasn't the worst.

Smackdown 7/24/09 Preview-Two Mondays ago on a Special 3 Hour Raw, CM Punk went one on one with Triple H. After picking up victory in that match, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton ran out and punted Punk in the skull. That gave Punk a concussion. Tonight, he returns to Friday Night Smackdown and he wants some of Orton. But, Co-General Manager Vickie Guerrero says that she has something special planned for the number one contender. What could this be? Is Punk going to be in trouble heading into The Bash? -Last week, Chris Jericho attempted to hold a funeral for The Undertaker. He must've forgotten that 'Taker was already dead long before that because 'Taker himself interrupted the ceremonies and chased away Jericho. Tonight, we will witness the Deadman's return to in ring action when he takes on The Brian Kendrick. Kendrick proclaimed to get to the top of Smackdown a few weeks ago and the best way to get there is through The Undertaker. But it's also the toughest road to take. -Just days before each man has a match at The Bash, two mammoths will do battle in singles competition. The Big Show will go head to head with The Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga! Umaga took over Show's old role as enforcer to Vickie Guerrero after Show was injured at the end of last year. When Show returned, he had a different attitude and now works against Guerrero. Can the ring hold these two giants? Tune into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM for all of this and so much more!

Smackdown opens with a short video package showing Randy Orton punt CM Punk in the head on Raw two weeks ago. Then it shows Orton walking out in his match against Big Show. Next it shows the events of The Undertaker’s “funeral” last week.[ALL SUPERSTARS' NAMES ARE STILL CLICKABLE AND WILL LINK YOU TO THEIR TITANTRON/THEME MUSIC]Jim Ross and Tazz introduce us to another exciting edition of Friday Night Smackdown! They hype up CM Punk’s return tonight, plus our two big matches including The Undertaker vs. The Brian Kendrick and Big Show vs. Umaga!“This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage cuts them off as CM Punk makes his way to the ring to an enormous pop from the crowd. He gets in the ring, sporting a new tee shirt, and begins to talk. He cuts a very emotional promo about his hatred for Randy Orton. He said it stems all the way back to Unforgiven last year. He said he was in the middle of a World Title reign and Orton’s punt to his head took that away from him. He got one shot at revenge on an episode of Raw last year and failed. Then he failed again at Night of Champions last month. Punk said that he finally picked a match that he knows he can beat Orton in and that’s an Ironman match, and Orton nearly ruined his chance again with another punt. Punk says that nothing will stop him from becoming World Champion again at The Bash. Vickie Guerrero makes her way out and tells Punk that she booked him in a match tonight. Despite his concussion and big match coming up, he will face the WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Hart Foundation in a handicap match! Punk looks on concerned while the crowd boos this announcement. Commercial Break.
Singles Match The Brian Kendrick vs. The UndertakerIt seemed very weird to have The Undertaker open the show, but with other big matches signed for tonight, it made sense. The match itself was ok; Kendrick actually managed to get in a decent amount of offense, although ‘Taker’s size was no match for him. In the end though, ‘Taker put him away with the Tombstone. Winner: The Undertaker (5:49) **½After the match, Chris Jericho ran down to attack The Undertaker with a chair in his hand. Before he could attack from behind though, Undertaker turned and saw him. This caused Jericho to stop in his tracks. He stumbles out of the ring as The Undertaker stares him down and does the throat cut symbol.Commercial Break. We return to see Stephanie McMahon in her office arguing with Vickie about the match she placed CM Punk in tonight. She called it unfair and said it could also ruin their brand’s main event for The Bash. Vickie looks as if she hadn’t thought of that, but she then just smiles and says that none of that matters to her, because her husband’s suspension is up this week and he’ll be back for next week’s show. The New Hart Foundation enters the office and thank Vickie for their opportunity. Stephanie steps in and says that she wants to raise the stakes in tonight’s match. She tells the Champions that if they win, whoever pins CM Punk or makes him submit, will receive a World Heavyweight Title shot next week right here on Smackdown, no matter who the Champion is. Wilson and Smith smirk at this and leave. Vickie complains to Stephanie that she just might have caused dissension between them in tonight’s match and Stephanie says that it might level the playing field of tonight’s main event.Divas Fatal Four Way Brie Bella vs. Maria vs. Michelle McCool vs. Nikki BellaThis was not a good match at all. McCool was easily the best worker in the match and she isn’t too great to be honest. She basically did most of the work and eventually got the pin when she made Brie tap out to the heel hook. Winner: Michelle McCool (4:08) *After the match, Natalya Neidhart gets up from her position at the announce table and sarcastically claps for McCool.Commercial Break. In the back, we see Shelton Benjamin being interviewed by Josh Matthews. Matthews asks him if he plans on getting involved in Big Show’s upcoming match with Umaga. Shelton says that for the second straight week, he will stay out of Show’s personal affairs. He says that he doesn’t have to soften up Show for The Bash because he’s good enough to beat him at 100%. But, he does feel like Umaga will do a fine job of softening him up enough.Singles Match Big Show vs. UmagaWell this wasn’t a technical masterpiece by any measure, but it did keep the crowd rather entertained as these two titans did battle. Show was in control early, as most of Umaga’s power offense wasn’t going to work on him due to his size. Eventually though, Umaga took control with a well placed nerve hold. He nailed his headbutt off the top but only got a two count. In the end, the two men battled to a double countout. Double Countout (7:26) **½Umaga nailed Show with the Samoan Spike after the match and then went and grabbed a steel chair. Jeff Hardy came rushing down to the ring and began to fire away at Umaga and eventually he sent him over the guardrail with a clothesline. They continued to brawl through the crowd.Commercial Break. We come back to see that Hardy and Umaga are still brawling in the crowd until a whole bunch of security members break it up.
Next, United States Champion Kofi Kingston is being interviewed by Josh Matthews about John Morrison’s challenge last week. Kofi says that he’s a fighting champion and that he will take on Morrison whenever he wants.
Then we cut to Vickie Guerrero, who enters the Hart Foundation’s locker room. She tells them that Stephanie tried to cause some problems between them by putting a title shot on the line, but they shouldn’t worry about that. If they beat Punk tonight, the one who gets the pin gets a World Title shot, but the one who doesn’t still deserves a reward. That member will get a United States Title shot next week!Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Finlay and Sheamus O’Shaunessy vs. The ColonsSurprisingly, there was no Hornswoggle at Finlay and Sheamus’ side. Anyway, this was once again put on the card to get ECW’s tag team over. They seem to be next in line to challenge The New Hart Foundation and they looked great here. Sheamus continues to impress and he put away Primo with a Chokeslam Bomb. Winners: Finlay and Sheamus O’Shaunessy (6:06) **¼ CM Punk is shown walking to the arena, his handicap match main event is next!Commercial Break.
Handicap Match CM Punk vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation w/ Natalya NeidhartThis was held under handicap tag rules, so only member of the Foundation was allowed in the ring at a time. Smith worked over Punk with his hard hitting, power based offense. But the real star of the match was TJ Wilson. He went at it with Punk as they put on a show. They took it to the air with springboard moves and mat wrestled each other. Punk and Wilson were going at it, when Wilson missed his springboard elbow and Punk locked on the Anaconda Vice. In came Smith, but Punk moved and Smith’s elbow landed on Wilson. This brought out Randy Orton. Punk nailed him once he got on the apron, but turned around right into the Hart Attack to end it. Wilson made the cover for the win. Winners: WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation (11:17) ***¼After the match Orton gets in the ring and has Punk set up for another punt, but he stops and just walks away.© WWE 2009

- Nice segment, Handicap Match sounds cool. - Dislike the placing of the opening contest as you said it seemed very weird. - Taker squashing Kendrick is fine. - Wow, I like what you did their, raising the stakes in that match. - Very Random Match-Up Filler. Glad McCool won. - Glad we got a double countout here. If eaither man lost it would make them look weak. - It would be great if Morrison became US Champion. Kingstons not even from the US. - Oh My, Loser gets a US Title Shot. Good Decision. - The color thing went wrong here. I hate HSeamus but your really getting him over. Dont really like face vs face. - NHF winning makes sense. Wilson getting a world title shot is great, but he will lose. - I like the Orton backed away. Seems Realistic.
Really good show tonight. I wouldve opened with the Tag Match though.

SmackDown - Bad news for CM Punk, facing the Hart Foundation. Good segment there. Kendrick and 'Taker opening up? Not sure on that one, but still a predictable victory, glad he is back. I see you;re doing a storyline with Jericho and 'Taker too. Nice promo with Steph and Vickie. Bah, call me sexist but I don't really care for the Women's division much. Glad that McCool won though, the better of the four by far. Great finish to the Show/Umaga match. Makes sure that neither man is hurt by the outcome. Glad to see Umaga get the one-up over Show. Hardy getting involved builds the storyline with Umaga too. Ooh, nice to see an Irish combination and glad to see them win. I'm glad you had the Hart Foundation win as it twists the story for CM Punk's match at The Bash. Interesting finish with Orton and Punk. I look forward to reading The Bash.

July 25th, 2009 Edition-This past week on ECW, we saw the debut of Miranda Rodriguez as The Miz's arm candy. Miranda is in fact, former Diva Search contestant Milena Roucka. The WWE decided not to use the Milena name because it's too similar to Melina Perez. -The reason for the false ending of the John Cena/Cody Rhodes WWE Championship match on Monday, was because the WWE felt the audience expected the match to be a squash. They felt like it made Rhodes look legit and kept Cena very strong. -If it isn't already obvious, expect a Tyler Black face turn in the very near future. He's getting cheered pretty good and is very over. Thorn is also very over, but as a heel and he continues to draw great heat. Overall, the WWE is happy with the Brood. -Expect Jack Swagger to work a feud with Matt Hardy for a short while and have that lead into a bigger feud with Rey Mysterio. Expect them to have a Pay-Per-View match in the near future.

As usual, this Pay-Per-View begins with a video package. It shows the build up for the WWE Championship match tonight between John Cena, Triple H & Batista, Chris Jericho & The Undertaker’s rivalry so far and the stuff that has gone down between JBL & MVP, Jeff Hardy & Umaga and Shelton Benjamin & The Big Show. After showing that, it cuts to a video with the song “You’re Going Down” by The Sick Puppies in the background. This video highlights the history between Randy Orton & CM Punk and how it all culminates tonight!
A huge pyrotechnics display kicks off tonight’s huge show and then we go to our six announcers to welcome us to the show. They promote tonight’s major card and hype up each match. Then the camera focuses on Matt Striker and Todd Grisham as they take us to the ring for tonight’s opening contest, which is for the ECW Championship.ECW Championship: Mr. Kennedy (c) vs. Kevin Thorn w/ The BroodThorn and his Brood mates come to the ring first to a chorus of boos. They’re followed by the current ECW Champion, who gets a ton of cheers. This was a decent choice for an opener as the crowd was into it. Kennedy began the match very good as he seemed to be out to prove something in his first title defense. He hit a flurry of punches and kicks early on that sent Thorn into the corner. While there, Kennedy would then nail him with a face wash that got the crowd hot. Thorn made sure that didn’t keep up as he slowed the match down with a sleeper hold. Kennedy’s arm would only go down twice as he held it up the third time. He attempted to turn the match around, but Thorn stopped that in its tracks when he hit a flap jack. He covered, but just got a near fall. The Fanged Freak was in serious control and busted out a big boot after sending the Champion off the ropes. He again only got a near fall. Thorn set up for his Original Sin finisher, but Kennedy wriggled free and got on the apron. He then grabbed Thorn by the head and brought him down backwards onto the top rope. Kennedy got back in the ring and hit a Russian Leg Sweep and then the Green Bay Plunge. He covered but Thorn managed to kick out somehow. Kennedy then climbed to the top and was calling for the Kenton Bomb, but Gangrel got on the apron. The referee was distracted by this and Tyler Black came in to nail Kennedy. Kennedy leaped off the top and hit him with a clothesline. He then knocked Vansen off the apron when he got on. Kennedy went for Gangrel but ducked down when Black ran at him, causing Black to knock Gagnrel off the apron. Kennedy then tossed him out as well. Kennedy turned to Thorn who was just getting up and he hit him with the Mic Check for the win. Winner and Still ECW Champion: Mr. Kennedy (11:59) ***Kennedy celebrated with his title after his first successful title defense. He left up the ramp to a loud ovation. Meanwhile in the ring, Kevin Thorn began to get up. He, Gangrel and Hade Vansen looked on at Tyler Black and seemed to blame him for the result of this match.
In the back, we see Eric Bischoff walking through the halls. He seems to be enjoying his first PPV since his return a few weeks ago. He stops when he runs into Stephanie McMahon. They remind each other that they were rival GMs a few years back and tonight is no different. Bischoff brags about his WWE Title match, while Stephanie brags that Smackdown! clearly has the better match in their Ironman match. Bischoff says only time will tell and walks away. Divas Battle RoyalThe divas were cheered and booed accordingly if they were heels or faces. After all sixteen women got into the ring, the match became kind of hard to follow, but the camera made sure to catch every elimination and it mainly followed the Divas with the best chances at victory. Beth Phoenix began the match as the dominating force, eliminating the first five Divas. She tossed out Tiffany, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Eve and Nikki Bella. On the other side of the ring, Michelle McCool managed to toss out Layla and then began to battle with Phoenix. Jillian Hall was tossed out next courtesy of a dropkick from Gail Kim. Maryse tossed out both Kelly Kelly and Maria, who were fighting each other. She was then tossed over by Melina. Candice Michelle then surprised everybody by eliminating Melina. She then worked with Beth against the three faces left, McCool, Mickie James and Kim. They double teamed McCool and easily got rid of her. Then Candice made the mistake of trying to throw out Beth. Beth barely moved and she then nailed Candice with the Glam Slam. Beth then picked her up and gorilla press slammed her over the top. James and Kim teamed up to then work on Beth and they wore her down enough that a double clothesline got rid of the Glamazon. The final two women had a classic battle. James and Kim is pretty much a Divas dream match and they delivered here tonight. They went back and forth for about four minutes until Kim hit her with a DDT. Out ran Divas Champion Natalya Neidhart while Gail Kim climbed to the top. Natalya knocked her off and she landed on the outside and Natalya avoids Kim winning and facing her for the Divas Title. Winner: Mickie James (9:23) **James didn’t even know that she won, while on the outside Kim was furious. Natalya backed up the ramp with a smirk on her face as the crowd cheered on James’ victory. James made the signal that she’s coming for the Women’s Championship.
The cameras cut backstage where Josh Matthews is standing by with none other than the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title, CM Punk. He asks Punk how he feels entering the biggest match of his career. Punk says that he’s more ready and prepared than he’s ever been and that he will not rest until he’s World Champion again. He promises that a Randy Orton punt will not end his quest for gold here tonight.Shelton Benjamin vs. Big ShowBenjamin was the first to come out, to a chorus of boos as he continually showed off his golden briefcase. Show was out next to a very good crowd reaction. Once the match started, Shelton went right up to Show and began to trash talk him. Show ignored it and delivered a vicious head butt to the Gold Standard. Show backed him into the corner and hit him with lefts and rights and then a huge foot choke. He clubbed Benjamin in the back a few times and followed it up by locking on the abdominal stretch. He eventually let Benjamin go and then called for the chokeslam. He grabbed Shelton by the throat, but he kicked his way out of it. Benjamin then kept the match at a slow pace after using some wear down holds. He ended up getting Show in the corner and delivered a beautiful Stinger Splash. He then went to kick Show, but it got caught and he then nailed a Dragon Whip kick for a two count. Shelton went for a super kick when Show got up, but he caught his foot, threw it down and delivered a big clothesline. Show then hit him with a big boot as he got up. Then, Shelton got up again only to be met with a vicious spear. Show covered but Benjamin kicked out. Show picked up Benjamin and went for the Chokeslam again, only to have Shelton kick him with a low blow, causing the disqualification. Winner by Disqualification: Big Show (11:07) **¾Show looked upset with the decision made and Shelton began to leave the ring. Show turned him around and leveled him with a stiff knockout punch to the jaw that took Shelton out. Show stood tall over the cocky superstar as we headed to the back.
In the back, Vickie Guerrero is seen amping up Umaga for his match with Jeff Hardy later tonight. She tells him that she wants him to finally destroy Jeff and avenge Edge’s suspension. She wants Jeff out of her hair and out of her life and she knows that it’ll hurt Stephanie McMahon to see the man who tried to help her brother out go down tonight. Umaga screams some words in Samoan and looks to be ready for his match.
The cameras cut to the ringside area where Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole take over and get us ready for the upcoming Raw match.Montel Vontavious Porter w/ Eve Torres vs. John “Bradshaw” Layfield w/ Candice MichelleMVP was out first and the crowd is 100% behind him and they know that he’s gearing up for his SummerSlam WWE Title match. JBL is next and he gets quite possibly the most boos of the night. This was pretty much a clash of styles but JBL held the early advantage. He locked him into an abdominal stretch and used the ropes for leverage at one point. Next he continued to work over MVP’s mid section by hitting him with a fall away slam. JBL continued to show off his strength by hitting a few short arm clotheslines and then bored the crowd with a sleep hold. MVP began to fade, but manage to drop down into a jaw breaker and break the hold. He then hit a knee smash and hit the “Ballin” elbow drop to the crowd’s liking. He only got a two count though, and then locked on a cross face of sorts. JBL made it to the ropes though. MVP waited for him to get up and went for the Drive-By, but JBL dodged it. He went for the Clothesline from Hell but MVP ducked that as well and then delivered a big boot to the face. Candice hopped on the apron and distracted the referee. Eve ran to her and pulled her off and began to cat fight with her. JBL turned MVP around and set him up for a power bomb, but MVP back flipped him over and nailed the Drive-By to gain the victory. Winner: Montel Vontavious Porter (9:44) **¾ MVP celebrated along with the crowd and the announcers hype up that he picks up momentum heading into his big WWE Title match at SummerSlam! JBL begins to get up and is upset with Candice and tells her that she needs to get her act right.
The cameras go to the back where WWE Champion John Cena is seen preparing for his upcoming match. It then cuts to Triple H so is in his locker room taping up his fists. Lastly it goes to Batista is putting on his knee pads. These three men have a huge encounter for the WWE Championship coming up in just a short while.
Next, we see ECW Champion Mr. Kennedy enter Theodore Long’s office. Long congratulates him on retaining his belt but he also reminds him that he must defend it this Tuesday night in the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada against Elijah Burke. Kennedy smirks and says that he’s beaten him before, so he’ll do it again.Umaga vs. Jeff HardyMuch like most heels, Umaga was the firstman to enter the match and he got a loud chorus of boos. Jeff made his way out next and got a major pop from the crowd, they love him. This has been brewing since way back in April after Umaga ended his issues with Triple H. The chemistry in this match was splendid as both men knew each other so well after all their previous clashes. Jeff made good use of his speed advantage early on. He was hitting Umaga with some fast and furious offense. After a few dropkicks, Jeff nailed a sitout jawbreaker and then a clothesline that sent Umaga to the outside. Jeff followed up with baseball slide and then a plancha. Jeff had the crowd roaring the entire time during his flurry. Umaga ducked a punch and then hit Jeff with an atomic drop onto the rail. They brawled outside for a while back and forth until Jeff ran the guardrail and nailed Umaga with a clothesline off of it. The fight got back in the ring, but Umaga took over in there. He used his usual nerve hold to slow down Jeff. Umaga followed up with a big Samoan Drop and then dragged Jeff into a sitting position in the corner. He ran into him and hit the Samoan Wrecking Ball but Jeff managed to kick out. Umaga climbed to the top and attempted his Diving Splash, but Jeff moved out of the way in time. Umaga got up and chased Jeff into the corner, but got hit with the Whisper in the Winds. Jeff climbed to the top for the Swanton Bomb, when suddenly Curt Hawkins runs down and distracts the referee. Zack Ryder attempted to come and knock Jeff off the top, but Jeff jumped off and nailed him. He then went after Hawkins, but was met with a Spear from a returning Edge! Umaga picked him up and hit the Samoan Spike to pick up the victory. Winner: Umaga (13:16) ***¾The crowd boos heavily as Umaga leaves up the ramp with Edge, Hawkins & Ryder. They are met at the top of the stage by Vickie Guerrero who gives Edge a big hug. She laughs in the direction of Jeff Hardy.
In the back, Stephanie McMahon is shown looking furious. She still hates Edge for what he did to her brother, yet Edge & his cronies just got away with taking out somebody who’s been helping her and Shane out. The New Hart Foundation enters the room and TJ Wilson tells Stephanie not to even worry about what she just witnessed. She needs to focus on her future World Heavyweight Champion and United States Champions, himself & Harry Smith. She tells Wilson that if he does manage to pull off the upset, he should worry because rumor has it that Vickie promised Umaga a title shot if he won tonight. Wilson looks worried as we cut away.
A video package is shown highlighting the previous events between The Undertaker and Chris Jericho. The Undertaker vs. Chris JerichoJericho came to the ring first, and got a fantastic heel reaction from the crowd. The Undertaker followed to the loudest pop of the night so far. The two of them stood face to face in the middle of the ring. The announcers hyped up that this was the first ever meeting between these two. ‘Taker began the fight with a few shots to the face, backing Jericho into the corner. He continued to nail him with shots to the mid-section. ‘Taker stops before the ref’s count of five, but then goes back in on the attack. He goes in a third time, but Jericho ducks down and gets out of the ring. Jericho took his breather but ‘Taker reached over and grabbed him by the hair. Jericho turned and tripped up ‘Taker. He got in the ring and got on the offensive. He stomped on him a few times. ‘Taker began to get up and Jericho sent him back down with a springboard dropkick. He covered for a two. Jericho worked him over with some wear down holds. Eventually, ‘Taker got out of it behind the crowd’s rally but Jericho caught him in an armbar. Again, ‘Taker rallied and got to his knees despite being in the hold. He managed to punch him with his other hand and then lock on his own Fujiwara armbar. Jericho scurried to the ropes though. ‘Taker took control after this and hit a sidewalk slam and the Old School. He only got a near fall after that though. He dragged Jericho and draped his head over the apron, and connected with the guillotine leg drop. As he got back in the ring, Jericho crawled into the corner. He began to take off the turnbuckle’s cover and ‘Taker ran in for a big boot, but Jericho ducked and he went straight into the unprotected turnbuckle. Jericho went for the Codebreaker, but ‘Taker grabbed the ropes to hold on and Jericho went down on his own. ‘Taker then set him up for the Last Ride, but Jericho ducked down and tripped up ‘Taker, sending the back of his head into the unprotected buckle again. Jericho followed that up by actually hitting the Codebreaker this time for the win. Winner: Chris Jericho (17:37) ****Jericho escaped with victory, much to the crowd’s displeasure. He celebrated on his way up the ramp and kept saying that he’s the only man with a decade of destruction and that he killed the Deadman.
The Raw announce team takes back over and they hype up tonight’s WWE Championship match. A video plays showing how much Batista and Triple H dislike each other. It then shows when they were eliminated at the same time in the number one contender’s battle royal. That got John Cena involved in their issues and lead to tonight’s Triple Threat match.WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Batista vs. Triple HBatista was the first one to the ring and he was greeted with a big ovation from the crowd. Next, came Triple H, who was booed by almost everybody. Once he got in the ring though, the two of them went right at each other. They brawled for about three minutes until Cena’s theme hit and he came running down to a huge pop. Once inside, he took both men down with different moves and then began to work on Triple H. Cena nailed him with a bull dog and a fisherman suplex, but was taken down by a clothesline from Batista. The Animal also took it to the Game with turnbuckle thrusts and a huge power slam for a near fall. Cena got up and stared down Batista. Triple H began to get up and Batista hit him with a shoulder block. Cena then connected with the Five Knuckle Shuffle and the crowd loved the heel getting abused. Triple H rolled to the outside and then Batista and Cena began to trade fists. The crowd ate this up and they went at it for a decent amount of time. They hit each of their key moves and Batista caught him with a Spear from out of nowhere. He began to shake the ropes, but Cena somehow got right up and ran to hit the throwback. He went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle again, but HHH intervened and nailed him with a running knee. He then covered Batista but he kicked out violently. He went right after HHH, but was met with a thumb to the eye. HHH followed it up with a spine buster and then hooked Cena for a Pedigree but the Champ reversed it and had him set up for the FU. Batista ran and Speared him again. He covered Cena but Triple H broke it up. They went at it for a while and Triple H ended up getting nailed with a Batista Bomb. He covered but Cena locked him into the STFU. Batista would not tap out and he reached the ropes. HHH ran to hit a knee to Cena’s face, but he ducked and Batista got caught and fell to the outside. HHH turned right into an FU from Cena to end the match. Winner and STILL WWE Champion: John Cena (15:29) ***¼Cena celebrated with the fans as Batista looked on, stressed out. Triple H slowly rolled out of the ring as Cena walked up the ramp. The cameras followed him to the back, where he’s stopped by MVP. MVP congratulates him on his victory and tells him that he can’t wait to see him at SummerSlam. Cena agrees and continues to walk on.
The cameras cut to a short video of the history between CM Punk and Randy Orton. It goes all the way back to Unforgiven 2008 where a Randy Orton punt, cost CM Punk the World Heavyweight Title. It then shows their history ever since they met back at Night of Champions last month. The entire video has "You're Going Down" by The Sick Puppies playing in the background.World Heavyweight Championship Iron Man Match: Randy Orton (c) vs. CM PunkCM Punk made his way to the ring to a huge ovation to begin out main event. Orton was out next and got a huge amount of heel heat from the crowd. As with all previous Ironman matches, this one started out very slow. They began with a slow feeling out process that took a decent amount of time. Punk then made a point to take this match to the mat, where he had a clear advantage. The crowd was pretty much dead for the first twenty minutes as this basically all you saw going on. Around 22:27, things got interesting, after Orton nailed him with a stiff European Uppercut. He went to the outside and grabbed a steel chair. He nailed Punk in the head once he got up, causing the disqualification and putting Punk up 1-0. This is a strategy that we’ve seen used before in these kinds of matches. Orton then covered Punk quickly to tie the score. He picked Punk up and hit him with an RKO to take a 2-1 lead. He saw that Punk seemed to still be knocked out and locked in a surprise Sharpshooter. He figured he’d get another cheap fall, but Punk managed to fight his way out of it as he wasn’t fully unconscious. He made it to the ropes, but Orton didn’t quit on his attack there. He nailed him with the rope hung DDT as we just passed the half hour mark. He covered but just got a near fall. Orton looked on surprised, and backed away, setting up for the Punt, which would surely put out Punk for the entire match. He went for it, but Punk dodged it and hit him with a super kick for a two count. He went to the apron and when Orton got up, he met him with a springboard clothesline. He got another near fall with that. Orton rolled out of the ring, but Punk followed with a suicide dive to the outside. He got back into the ring and was about to get a count out victory, but Orton got in the ring right before the ten count. Punk pounced and went for the Go To Sleep but Orton reversed it into a crucifix pin and got a third fall. Punk was now down 3-1 at the 41:09 mark. He had to pick up three falls in less than twenty minutes to win. Punk nailed a tilt-a-whirl back breaker and then sent him into the corner. He followed up with a stiff knee to the face and then a bulldog. Punk then locked in the Anaconda Vise, which he hasn’t used since winning the IC Title at Royal Rumble. He had it locked in for almost two minutes before Orton had no choice but to tap out. Better to tap out, then to pass out. The clock now read 45:41 and Punk was just down by one. Punk hooked him for a double under hook back breaker, but Orton tripped up his legs and attempted a roll up for a near fall. Orton quickly hit his over the back neck breaker for another near fall. Orton locked in a reverse chin lock as it was obvious that he was trying to kill time. Punk rallied behind the crowd and got out of it, backing him into a corner. He went for his signature knee strike again, but Orton moved out of the way and Punk fell to the outside. He got back on the apron and delivered a shoulder thrust to Orton and flipped over for a sunset flip pin. He surprisingly picked up a three count and tied it up in shocking fashion! This match was now tied with just less than five minutes remaining. Orton ran right at Punk and got hoisted up for the GTS, but Orton elbowed out of it and nailed the RKO. He covered, but Punk got his foot on the bottom rope. Orton was livid and positioned himself for the Punt once more. He looked at the titantron and saw that it read 58:02 on it. He ran in for the kill, but Punk picked his head up at just the right moment and rolled him up for another near fall. As they got up, Orton ducked a clothesline and went for the RKO again, but Punk pushed him off. Orton scrambled to get up and was met with a GTS. Punk nailed it this time and got the pin to put him up 4-3 with just 17 seconds remaining. Punk stood around Orton’s body, ready to defend himself if Orton got up. Punk frantically watched the clock as well. Orton made it to his knees with five seconds left, but couldn’t get any further as Punk is our new Champion! Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk (60:00) *****The crowd erupted and exploded at Punk’s victory. Nobody can call this title win a fluke as he celebrates with the crowd. He stands on the announce table and hoists the belt in the air as we go off the air.© WWE 2009
