I've seen alot of parallels to the signing of maywather and Pac man but honestly..at least TNA buildt something around Pacman and actually made him an interesting part of their program. They even gave him and killings some dope lookin uni's.
I think money mayweather was the biggest waste. He sux on the mic and I don't think is as well known as Pac was. I mean yea, he's well known in boxing but i think Pac got more publicity(mostly bad) then mayweather did. Also, I think Pac's signing gave TNA more advertising then Mayweather is giving to WWE...just my thoughts. anyone else?

Certainly pacman IMO but you posted this on the TNA board hence mayweather will probably be voted the biggest waste of money...

At-least TNA did something with Pac Man, so I'd say Mayweather, as he's going nowhere fast.

At least Mayweather is willing to do stuff in the ring.

At least Mayweather is willing to do stuff in the ring. We are not sure that Pac didn't want to do anything in the ring. The Titan's would not allow their contracted player to have any contact in a ring and run the risk of getting injured.

Jones was no moron. He found a group of people that were willing to pay him to just stand there. He never had any intention of getting in the ring. TNA knew the deal with NFL players and them not being able to do anything. Anything over $5 was way to high for someone just to stand there.

Pacman Jones. Yes, Mayweather getting $20 million is absurd. But seriously, Pacman got a few hundred thousand dollars AND a tag team title reign (pinned Sting too) and nobody ever TOUCHED him. TNA got nothing out of it and it made them look stupid. At least with Mayweather the WWE gets publicity, legitimacy, it's interesting, and it comes across as a really good worked shoot.

Pacman Jones is definitely the bigger waste of money. TNA paid a guy that the public is only marginally aware of some amount of money to do nothing.
WWE pays Mayweather (one of the biggest names in boxing right now) several million dollars, publicly inflates it to get more publicity, and actually has him in a match.
Pacman would've been less of a waste if he was allowed to do something, but still an overall waste because he isn't well-known enough to get TNA any real publicity out of it. The 'no physical activity' clause from the Titans would've been a dealbreaker to me.

You people know nothing.. Pacman WAS training to WRESTLE with Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Lynn, and I think James Storm. He had a TNA Ring in his backyard. The NFL/Tenn. Titans said he couldn't wrestle not him. TNA didn't put him on their biggest show and hype him up more than their world title match and we got something "awesome" out of him - "Awesome" Austin Creed. If Pacman wouldn't have came in they wouldn't have had to replace him therefore Creed wouldn't have gotten picked, therefore this 21 year old with only 3 years in the business wouldn't be in the 2nd biggest promotion.
What has Mayweather done? Nothing. He's just stood there (just like you are saying about Pacman). It's not even 100% confirmed if he's wrestling. Anything can happen between now and 'Mania.
My choice - There both a waste of money.. who cares who's the bigger waste?

Jones, because TNA barely used him. We've been seeing Mayweather on RAW since the moment they signed him.

Whoever chose Pacman obviously doesn't know anything about the buisness aspect of Wrestling. Pacman did crapfor TNA, nobody gave a , nobody bought the PPV's. No Publicity = No New Viewers Say what you want about Mayweather but he got the WWE its publicity and people not intrested in WWE will watch. Thus its not a waste of money but a success. Also who says Mayweather is REALLY getting paid that much?

The Fact that TNA signed him before clearing with the Titans what he can and can't do is hilarious.

Pacman by far. WWE is getting a lot of mainstream press from Mayweather. Plus Mayweather is more interesting than a reject of the NFL.

The biggest thing to come from Pacman's involvement in TNA is the signing of Austin Creed. The biggest thing coming from Mayweather? Mainstream publicity and probably some extra PPV buys.

Pacman got 6 figures.. not 7 .. and he made a good amount of appearances.. it actually got TNA mentioned on ESPN. I actually saw people talking about TNA online because of it.. good or bad.. they at least are aware of TNA now.. im a firm believer you gotta lose money to make money.
WWE on the other hand.. spent 20 million.. they couldve got Austin - Rock - Hogan for a match at Mania with that kind of money
