Hey, if he didn't have such a gold digger for an (ex)wife - he wouldn't be saying this.

Wow! What a crapmatch that'd be, two unfit rusty hasbeens having what would be a five minute match because they'd both be too tired.
It would be HILLARIOUS to see Hogan take the stunner, it'd be stiff as hell xD.

Yeah, but if Hogan didn't need money then we would not get the dream match. The whole issue from before was that neither would be willing to job. Hogan needs the money but also understands that the match would be a big deal. Not only can he profit from doing the job to Austin but it would be another historic match for his legacy.

It's all up to Austin, not Vince.

I really hope it happens. It has to potential to suck but think of the money and emotion in the match alone. Hogan/Austin or Cena/Hogan would be golden

If Hogan faced Austin at WrestleMania, and HBK faced Undertaker at Wrestlemania, then it would be the best show of all time

I wouldn't be surprised if he does it at all. Big money.

Might very well be. That's two big time matches.
I do wonder how it would compare to Rock vs Hogan.

Since it's likely Austin would win this match in Texas, I see the ending going like this.
Austin hits the Stunner. Hogan kicks out and Hulks Up. Hogan hits big boot and goes for legdrop but misses. Hogan stumbles to his feet. Austin kicks him in gut and goes for Stunner. Hogan pushes him off into ropes. Austin bounces off ropes and ducks a Hogan Big Boot attempt. Hogan turns around. Gets kicked in stomach. Austin connects with a second Stunner. 1,2,3.
Dramatic ending, crowd goes wild!

Hogan loses in 5 seconds. because that's the most hogan can last in a ring without boring me.

The sad part is that there really is no good finish to this part. It's not like Hogan/Rock where it's a passing of the torch and the young guy gets the clean win. A clean win here will actually be rather dissapointing.
If Hogan wins clean, it's predictable and repetetive. But on the other hand, Hogan loosing clean as a face to another retired wrestler just doesn't sound dramatic either. I doubt the crowd would go nuts if Austin got a clean win on Hogan.

Hogan-Austin will never be what Hogan-Rock was. It's a nice idea, but each man could make much more of an impact with the talent they've yet to face that climbed when they had long left.
See, we've been through Hogan-Orton and we know what went wrong, but this is like when Triple H or John Cena gets booked in a title match at Wrestlemania.
These two, alone, are able to have great matches at Wrestlemania without the belt. WWE just doesn't open the door up enough to understand that.
I mean, Michaels-Flair, Taker at wrestlemania.... they all tell stories, but none needed a title, just two stars clashing with everything to win and and everything to lose.
I mean, a match between Rated RKO could be made if WWE put a mind to doing it, without gold involved just something linking the two to being callous and wanting to one up the other and the biggest show of the year.

ill give hogan credit where its due. He realizes that in a match of that caliber, it doesnt matter who wins, because everyone does.
However i dont know. I know austin only has and wants one match. One. And idk if those two can live up to the hype at their age and espacially ring rust. I just might prefer Viper/Rattlesnake and Cena/Hogan instead.

The problem is that if Austin faces anyone besides Hogan the crowd will just chant "Austin Hogan!" all night.

Yeah, like if that was true. I mean, the reason we did tsaw that at WM X8 was because Hogan refused to job...

Yeah, like if that was true. I mean, the reason we did tsaw that at WM X8 was because Hogan refused to job... To be honest though, I don't even remember Rock-Hogan's winner. I just remember it being a great match, well worth it's hype. So there are cases where the winner doesn't matter. I think if Hogan won though, it'd be something that gets remembered and gets crapon.
