doesn't hogan have creative control in his deal with Vince, i heard that somewhere, that when ever hogan does a match, it's his decision on the result, i could see Hogan saying now that he would job to Austin, but come the day of the event, he can easily just say, I (hogan) am going to win.

Hogan says that now because he has no leverage anymore and knows his place in the WWE

If Hogan lost to Austin clean, I would be very very pissed off. Poor bastard must really need money.

OK. Hogan is willing to job, so it's the only issue is Austin's neck. But if Austin's neck really is as bad as people say it is, Austin can never ever ever wrestle again, right? So at the most he can only have ONE more match then retire, right? Then this is a perfect, perfect LAST match for Austin. And a perfect last match for Hogan for that matter. If it was the last match of BOTH the leader of the hulkamania era and the leader of the attitude era (The TWO eras as the hbk/bret era was really partically both eras combined) , the 80s vs the 90s and the last match of the two biggest icons in the bussiness, it could be one of if not the biggest matches ever as far as HYPE goes. With ric flair retireing last year, this would be perfect. Heck, if Ric Flair at 109 years old can wrestle a last match at wrestlemania 24, stonecold can have JUST ONE MORE match to put even more of an ! mark on his career. And Austin needs to do it.

LOL Hogan must be broke as if he's calling a public radio show saying he'll job clean to Austin.

match should end this way: stone cold stunner, hulk pops up, austin flips off hogan in his face, hits a second stunner... 1..2..2 and 3 qauters..... austin hits a third stunner.. 1...2...3....

"Hulkamania" will show its true colors and will refuse to job.
Just kidding, but wouldnt that be a dick-hole move?

IDK. Divorce, Nick's lawyer fees, the stock market tanking. I think the Hulkster could be in need of money, and is willing to swallow his pride for a big pay day. I think Hogan is saying all this stuff because he's looking for a big pay day due to the situation he's in. But I mean, who can really blame him. I'd love to see Hogan fight any top guy, whether it's Cena or Austin. What Hogan says and what Hogan does are two completely different things. All you guys have good points. I think it could be mainly because Hogan's life is sh*t right now and he needs a big check. I personally would love to see Hogan v. Austin finally be done. It's been talked about for years! We already saw Rock v. Hogan which drew huge...why not Hogan/Austin?

What Hogan says and what Hogan does are two completely different things. BINGO. He'll pull some crapand say he won't show up unless he gets to go over Austin clean.

I don't believe that at all. Nobody remembers that Hogan canceled the second match with Michaels because Michaels was acting like an unprofessional baby, and that was the correct move. Michaels didn't deserve a win over Hogan, cage match or otherwise. It's not like Hogan is Austin, taking his ball and going home in the middle of a hot angle. Hogan did job to Lesnar when Austin refused. Hogan is still old school, which is both good and bad. Hogan is sort of like Andre, if he doesn't like you, you aren't going over him. As far as I'm concerned, Austin doesn't deserve the honor. He has never been a star in Hogan's league, just a vessel for all of the toothless, redneck, spousal abusing fans (of whom I detest). Hogan at Wrestlemania would blow the roof off the place, but I would much rather see him job to someone who deserves it, especially someone who it makes sense to job to, like Cena. Unlike Austin, Hogan respects Cena and Cena deserves the respect. Cena is the 21st century Hogan. It would make perfect sense. I can't stand the thought of Hogan jobbing to Austin.

For historial purposes, this match would be incredible! While not a four star match, just the hype and emotion being played out in this match could very well parallel Hogan vs. Andre.

Meh. Hogan can manipulate this if he wants. Tell em he's willing to do the job publicly. So then the match is agreed upon. BUT...it's common knowledge that Hogan said he would do the job. Now WWE is in a situation where everyone know what's going to happen right? Nope...SWERVE. Hogan gets the win. Good strategy there Hulk...

If Hogan needed money, he shouldn't have started sh*t with Vince, tried to start his own promotion and just said...OK i'll sign a legends deal, make occasional appearances, do another DVD, get an Exclusive Shopzone figure and merch...etc. etc. For the spectacle, I'd love to see Hogan/Austin...Without Hogan there would be no WWF & no Austin, without Austin there would be no WWE or WWF now Wrong, without Vince there would be no WWF/WWE, Austin and hogan helped but if they weren't there Vince would of found someone else.

You are EVER so wrong. Vince was successful in the 80's for 2 reasons. First, Hulk Hogan. And second, the rest of the talent he stole from the AWA.
Hogan was already a star after Rocky III. He was "Hulk Hogan", Hulkamania, t-shirt ripping, and going for the world title. If Gagne wasn't an IDIOT, he would've put Vince out of business quickly. He had the top talent and now he had Hogan. But, he chose to focus on "oldschool" wrestling instead of moving forward. And paid the price. Hogan went over to Vince who used his popularity to start a new WWF.
There was NOBODY to be "the guy" in the 80's. Vince didn't make Hulk Hogan, Hogan was already made after Rocky III and the AWA!
