That means they aren't doing what they are suppose to be doing, which is GETTING BETTER.

They're not doing wrong (television wise) it's the lack of promotion. You can't say "Well, people tune in and see the crap they do and turn off" - because if that was true the ratings would see a drop.

I find it funny you say it's "lack of promotion" but in other threads, you say they do fine promotion. You can't have it both ways.

Find me the post where I said iMPACT promotion is fine. I only recall stating they do fine promotion for house shows.
There's a lack of iMPACT promotion - yeah. But, house shows is a diffrent story.

To simply put it, it isn't the "lack of promotion". iMPACT! has overall been sucking for months now. During the beginning of the Main Event Mafia fued, it got a little interesting. To see guys like Lethal and Young in the main event picture. But now we're right back to washed up WWE/WCW/ECW talent ( Team 3D, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Sting ) hogging the spotlight.
iMPACT! is terrible, minus a match or 2 per week... and the numbers show it. Theres absolutely no denying it.

It's not going up which means no one new is watching to tell "the product sucks" to tune out. It is the lack of promotion.

They had a new video game come out this past year, with commercials running all over cable, as well as other promotional venues. Mick Foley joined TNA in 2008 as well. Those are just two relatively big things that could've gotten them more exposure. WWE fans could have easily found out that Foley, as well as other former WWE wrestlers like Angle and Booker, were over in TNA and started watching. People could have seen the commercial and were interested in checking out Impact. The fact is, if the product sucks, the audience isn't going to grow past the solid fanbase they have that makes up the 1.0 ratings they get each week.

No, if they don't promote their product no one but they're loyal fanbase won't know "it sucks". TNA does a crappy job of promoting iMPACT - outside of Spike, CMT, MTV and other channels like that I rarley see TNA adverts for iMPACT. They know where wrestling fans are three days a week - yet they don't take advantage of it. Also, Kevin Nash has stated time and time again he's asked in airports when is he coming back to wrestling. If that doesn't prove lack of promotion nothing will. It's kind of hard for someone to go "This show sucks" when they don't know what "This show" is.

I just gave you two big examples of ways their product is promoted to different people. Maybe that won't get them to the 2's but it should have a more positive affect on the ratings.

Triple S-while the feuds have been good, I agree it's back to the same usual formla. Something happened when Cage left that TNA just never set right. I think there was again too much emphasis on former wwe guys instead of hiome grown stars. Look TNA, you guys need to realize that the former WWE stars aint workin...Angle, Foley, Cage...etc. They're great to have and should be added but will do nothing for your ratings if you dont have good booking. Not saying that I havent enjoyed TNA recently becasue I have. There's nothing about WWE that interests me anymore...none of th angles/stables, etc, anyway, tna did the best they could with the Christian departure, but like always, dropped the ball when the iron was hot....this whole thing centered around sting and AJ and it has yet to reach that pinnacle of those two goin at it for the World title...one time it happened and AJ lost. They always play out good storylines that involve their homegrowns then al of a sudden take the angle to a bass ackwards different route...this is what's killin them. And i'll have to agree the promotion HAS been out there! Japan? Europe? A video game? cards? US tour? they're promoting big time. The problem is that until TNA mkes itself out to be a BIG company...meaning they gotta get a bigger arena/ production/ etc people will still see them as a little company. Couple that with the frustrating booking that pulls you in then kicks ya in the nuts and you got consistent 1.1 ratings for the past what 3 years? ..someone's doin something wrong.

TNA has the hardcore TNA fans tuning in every week. They do not have the casual fan interest yet is really the only data I get from those numbers.

When Foley came to TNA why didn't they buy commerical time during RAW, ECW, Smackdown? That would've been the moment to lur(sp?) WWE fans.

Yeah... because USA, Sci-Fi and MyNetwork are going to risk losing WWE programing, to air commercials for the competitor. I've seen iMPACT!, ROH, etc. commercials on WWE programing... which has confused me a bit.
Face it, SG... iMPACT!'s rating isn't getting any higher because nobody besides the loyal fans CARE about it. I watch it when I can, because it's wrestling. But i'm not going to cancel my plans on a Thursday night, to watch a crappy episode of iMPACT! each and every week.
And because someone asks Nash "when are you coming back to wrestling?" doesn't mean they don't promote. That person could know absolutely NOTHING about TV, besides the WWE. Like many have said: a video game, cards, figures, promotion during WrestleMania XXIV... which was funny, because again.. NOBODY cared about a stupid truck driving around with TNA logos all over it, haha.

Just because someone bought iMPACT doesn't mean they're going to watch it.

It doesn't mean I'm going to hop up and go watch Nascar. Yeah, I know that - but apperantly no one understands my point. So, I'm walking away for this. I can't wait for someone to complain to me "I never complain about TNA" because I just did.

I dont like nhl or mlb therefore i have none of those gmaes, but i have games of football and bball. Im sayin wouldnt you have to be a fan/watch the product to want to actually buy the games with that namebrand?
