WCW Monday Nitro: Monday 29th May, 2000...Glad to see Rey Misterio Jr overcome Crowbar, it regains Misterio's credibility after somewhat being lost in WCW's cruiserweight division. Mini-feud with the Filthy Animals with Vampiro and Crowbar is nice, those are two good teams, if you keep Konnan only managing. Please give Billy Kidman and Misterio some good, proper prestige too. Good promo with Eric Bischoff, promoting what should be a phenomenal two-out-of-three falls match for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship at the Great American Bash, between Lance Storm and Chris Benoit, and a nice match between Hulk Hogan and Mike Awesome. Thing is, your pay-per-views are good, but there are far too many matches at these shows. Take Slamboree for example; the TerrorDome match was on midcarding, and there's Kevin Nash feuding Scott Hall, Eddie Guerrero feuding Ric Flair, Goldberg feuding Bret Hart and Hogan feuding Awesome. Far too much going on, maybe you could get somethings saved for the next pay-per-view when it comes to booking Bash at the Beach. Sean O'Haire beating Hugh Morrus is okay I suppose. Was never too into O'Haire, he was good though. Wish Hugh got a good push. Scott Steiner squash is okay, Colt Cabana cameo! Booker T and Steiner is a good feud to midcard the pay-per-view. Liked the further things going on with Raven. Nice brawl between Hulk Hogan and Mike Awesome. Goldberg killing Big Vito is okay. One too many squashes in my opinion. Sets Goldberg up for Great American Bash, though. Eddie Guerrero beating The Cat is fine, pretty decent match and I hope he gets the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in time. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash's feud has been built up quite alot. Good way to cap the show off with Sting beating Lance Storm. Good show overall, but what is Sting doing too?
WCW Thursday Thunder: Thursday 1st June, 2000...Decent opening contest to start off, there on this Thunder, with Rob Van Dam beating Brad Cain. I hope RVD will eventually move up the card and progress to the WCW US Heavyweight Championship or WCW World Television Championship scene. Nice promo with Kevin Nash, but it will eventually bury Shawn Stasiak I anticipate. Lance Storm beating Kaz Hayashi is good, would of been a great match. WCW Canadian Heavyweight Championship. Technically it already is since Chris Benoit is Canadian. Haha. Perry Saturn beating Joey Matthews is fine, those two have had a good feud. Jeff Jarrett beating Alex Wright is fine, Wright is pretty lost, but nevermind. The WCW roster is bulging, might wanna do some dropping in my opinion. Nice win for Kevin Nash in the main event, very predictable. Decent show overall.
WCW Saturday Night: Saturday 3rd June, 2000...Win for Psicosis is fine, beating enhancement regular, Kid Romeo. Sonny Siaki beating Colt Cabana is okay I suppose. Bryan Clarke beating Chris Candido surpises me, gives KroniK a dominant edge going into Great American Bash's bout for the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Lenny Lane beating Terry Funk is equally surprising. Wish Funk had been given better. Think it should of main evented, but good main event with Chris Kanyon beating Lash LeRoux. Good show.
Overall, you've got a good thing going, but like I've noted on Nitro's review, you've got a big roster, maybe you should drop a few stars perhaps. Also, wish the cruiserweight division wasn't neglected to Saturday Night; same for the tag team division. Unsure about a few things.

What's going on in WCW 2000!
- Eddie Guerrero has been on a roll thus far in 2000. Defeating Sting in a ladder match to earn a WCW World Heavyweight title shot, has made him one of the most confident men in WCW. Guerrero sees Flair as the stepping stone he needs to become a household name. Flair isn’t at all convinced that Guerrero can beat him to become “the man”. Guerrero has also played mind games with Flair, by stealing his robes and mocking Flair throughout the weeks leading up to the Great American Bash. Flair had s few tricks up his sleeve as well, as Guerrero managed to woo a couple of Guerrero’s ladies because he is the champion. Guerrero has even gotten himself a replica championship so that the fans can get use to him being a champion. Will Ric Flair be able to retain the championship or will Guerrero create his own legacy?
- Bill Goldberg and Bret Hart have had one of the most brutal feuds in recent memory. Back at Super Brawl, Hart defeated Goldberg to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and broke the ankle of Goldberg to which he thought Goldberg would never return to WCW again. However, Goldberg made his return shortly after Slamboree and challenged Hart to a no disqualification match at GAB. Hart at first didn’t want to do the match, as he had already defeated Goldberg. However, over time Hart decided he would face Goldberg and beat him so badly that Goldberg would be forced to leave WCW, forever. At the Great American Bash, Goldberg will have his chance to finally beat Bret Hart, or will Bret Hart be the one guy Goldberg can not beat?
- Scott Hall has once again gone off the deep end and attacked his good friend Kevin Nash during a tag team title match on Thunder. Nash had been trying to reason with Hall and try to straighten him out but Hall was not open to the idea. Hall attacked Nash and then refused to fight Nash at the Great American Bash. Nash was determined to get Hall to face him at the Bash. Eventually, Eric Bischoff stepped in and allowed the match to happen. Nash has made it clear that he is putting the friendship with Hall aside and that he will power bomb Hall so badly that he will “sober up”. Will Scott Hall be able to put his issues aside and beat Kevin Nash? Or will Nash be able to send his friend into the rehab facility with his soon to be broken back?
- Hulk Hogan and Mike Awesome are involved in a extremely personal feud. Awesome is obsessed with being the guy who ends Hulkamania once and for all. Awesome and Jimmy Hart even went to Hogan’s household and attacked Brian Knobbs in front of Hogan’s children. Awesome is also on a mission to erase the memory of Hogan from the fans as he was seen burning all of Hogan’s merchandize. Hogan returned during Awesome’s WCW World Heavyweight Championship match causing Awesome to lose by count-out and made Awesome even more angry and obsessed with wanting to end Hulk Hogan. With Hogan back and costing Awesome his title match, Bischoff decided that the match should be a number one contenders match with the winner facing the champion the next night on Nitro.
- Jeff Jarrett is also on a mission to make himself a star by beating perhaps WCW biggest store, Sting. Jarrett may have lost at Slamboree but Jarrett didn’t care. Jarrett has nailed Sting with his guitar several times and has prompted Sting to fight Jarrett at the Great American Bash. Jarrett has said that he will make sure that Sting is his Ric Flair that Sting had back in 1990 that made Sting into a WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett also says that he will beat Sting so badly that Sting will have to settle for C level movies for the rest of his career.
- Chris Benoit and Lance Storm have been battling over the WCW United States Championship. Lance Storm has made it clear he wants to beat the “traitor Canadian” Chris Benoit for the belt and rename it the WCW Canadian Championship because Canada is far better than the United States. Benoit has said that he greatly respects the United States and that it is a second home to him. Storm doesn’t believe that Benoit can really mean that. Storm even said that he can beat Benoit twice in one night which lead to the best two out of three submissions stipulation at the pay-per view.
- Scott Steiner has snapped over the past several weeks leading into the Great American Bash. Steiner has been attacking referees and staff with his lead pipe which prompted Booker T to stand up for the crew. Booker has challenged Scott Steiner to face someone his own size at the GAB and Steiner quickly accepted the challenge.
- WCW Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko has been on a roll since winning the belt at Spring Stampede. Psicosis won a #1 contenders match to earn the title shot at GAB.
- WCW World Tag Team Champions Bam-Bam Bigelow and Chris Candido managed to save their tag team titles at Slamboree by getting themselves disqualified. However, Kronik have gotten a rematch at GAB in a hardcore match so that the champions will have to step up and compete. Kronik believe that they can beat the Triple Threat members when their isn’t anything the champs can do to retain the belts by getting themselves DQ’d. Triple Threat believe that Kronik do not realize just how tough they are and that they will hold their own and show why they are the tag team champions.
- Natural Born Thrillers have apparently taken Sid Vicious out of WCW after viciously attacking him while he was leaving his car to work out at the YMCA. Sid had been able to beat all the members rather easily and that didn’t go over well with them. Shawn Stasiak lead the group the beating and has continued to mock Sid for several weeks after the attack. Sid had a alliance with Hugh Morrus and Norman Smiley but they haven’t been able to get the upper hand on the Thrillers since Sid was beaten down.
- Speaking of the Thrillers, Mike Sanders has been getting into the personal life of Dustin Rhodes. Sanders has apparently been able to win over Dustin Rhodes’s wife and child and is the father and husband that they never had with Rhodes. Rhodes has naturally been upset with this and has been trying to fins a way to get his hands on Sanders. Sanders has said that he will be making an appearance on Nitro after GAB to take a family photo in the middle of the ring.
- Raven has been cutting promos on the top wrestlers in WCW. Whether it be Ric Flair, Sting or Hulk Hogan, Raven has been telling the world that he looked up to all of them but they have pushed him aside and haven’t cared about him being a popular wrestler. Raven has said that he will make it known who he is targeting very soon, but at one point was kicked out of a arena by Eric Bischoff because he didn’t feel it was safe to have Raven in the arena. Raven believes that Bischoff has been trying to ignore Raven and Raven isn’t going to do something that will cause Bischoff to take notice.
- Sonny Siaki recently debut on WCW television and began to mock Buff Bagwell for not being near the caliber of handsomeness that he is. Siaki and Bagwell have been having a “battle of the bods” type of war with the other man believing that the ladies are interested in them more than the other. Surely at some point, we will find out who is the better man.
- Parental Control (Lane and Cain) have been trying to rid WCW of the hardcore division which has caused a rivalry with Terry Funk and Rob Van Dam. Brad Cain defeated Terry Funk for the championship but has still had to defend the championship, something he didn’t think he would have to do. Parental Control are convinced they are doing what is right for society by getting rid of the violence that is associated with the hardcore division. Rob Van Dam and Terry Funk believe that the fans love the hardcore violence and will keep the division alive.
- WCW Television Champion Chris Kanyon has been making a movie of his life over the past several weeks. How will this documentary of a “TV star” will pan out, remains to be seen.
- Diamond Dallas Page and Shane Douglas have not been seen since their triple cage match at Slamboree.
- Vampiro is obsessed with the mask of Rey Mistero Jr. and the blood of Billy Kidman. He and Crowbar have been continually attacking Mistero and Kidman but have yet to get a decisive win. On the Nitro after GAB they are scheduled to compete in a first blood match, something that Vampiro has been wanting for weeks.

Glad to see this back, I enjoyed this diary. Fine win for Helms there. I see Harris is winning matches now. Fine cruiser match there. Decent main event, RVD/Funk is an interesting team to say the least.
