You could get one now, but you'd need to have parental permission.

Depends on the state, however if you have parental consent, then you can get one.

UK states you must be 18, or atleast 16 with parental consent. Granted, you always have the option of finding a dodgey place that might do it for you, but the gold rule with tattoos is You get what you pay for. You want a cheap tattoo? Thats what you'll get.

They hurt a lot. Anyone who tells you anything different is trying to sound tough and is lying.

Depends on where you get them. If you've ever given a blood sample via a finger prick, it feels like a rapid continuation of that, but alittle deeper obviously. If you get a tattoo directly on a bone, or a spot with alot of nerves, then it will hurt more. I'll tell you this, though. The most painful tattoo I've gotten so far is right on my elbow. Sensitive as and directly on a bone.

They hurt a lot. Anyone who tells you anything different is trying to sound tough and is lying. Uk is 18, regardless of parent consent. And its hurts more in different places, the one on my Bicep did not hurt, but the one on my forearm did, this isnt me trying to sound tough or whatever. It all depends how good you are with pain.

I'm surprised, you don't want a Taylor Wilde tat.

They hurt a lot. Anyone who tells you anything different is trying to sound tough and is lying. It really depends, you cant say they really hurt cause they really dont. Some people dont feel it at all and some people wanna pass out. The one on my spine was the worst 2 hours of my life, but the 3 hr one on my arm I was falling asleep. A friend of mine got one on his chest as his first tattoo and never flinched/made a face. Said it didn't hurt one bit.

Also, the more detail, the more time spent in one area of skin. Granted, there is a chance it will go numb at some point, but it can still be a bitch.

Also, the more detail, the more time spent in one area of skin. Granted, there is a chance it will go numb at some point, but it can still be a bitch. And I'm guess you haven't either. I've got friends who work in the tatoo business. A one color, no detail isn't as brutal as a switched up tat. Yes it's still hurts the skin but it merely stings but once the pain is gone it's done and over. Based on the designs he's got and for the space it wouldn't be that painful. Probably a 3 hour sessions tops. Perhaps 3 sessions at most too depending on how deep he wants the color. And for the record...and I'm sure I've posted this before here: that's my tat
