Well, the Taker/HBK show delivered. Other highlights included Rey's Joker costume, and although they were brief, the triple threat, Extreme Rules match and MITB (even though I didn't agree with the ending), they were all exciting. The rest was meh.
But Taker/HBK was out of the world crazy kinds of good, I thought Taker was dead after the plancha, I really thought he'd broke his neck. MOTD so far, awesome match.

I didn't mind the main event however the lack of tag match not being on the card (was waiting for it between the two world title matches), no diva entrances & 5 Kid Rock Songs didn't do it for me

I don't get all the hate for Punk winning Money in the Bank. Sure, they did it last year but if you seriously take into consideration who was in the match, realistically the only other threat was Christian. MVP just won the US Championship and, as per some unofficial rule in the WWE, if you look strong going into the pay-per-view, you're not winning. Unless you are 6'4'', have great hair, and are married into the McMahon family. But I digress. Anyway, Shelton isn't a promo guy so Vince will never have faith in him to actually elevate him. Kane and Henry were out from the get-go. Ditto Finlay. That leaves Christian, Punk, and Kofi. Kofi obviously isn't ready and won't be for another year. Christian was the odds on favorite but you have to remember all of the 'Vince Hates Christian' posts from before Wrestlemania. If they're true, why then would the boss pencil in Christian for such a high-profile win on the biggest show of the year. It had to be Punk by default. Not that he doesn't deserve it. Hell, after the way the 'E' butchered his title run last year, they owe it to him to start fresh and give him a real, sustained run. Would it have been nice to see MVP or Shelton win? Yeah. But Punk made the most sense and after the last year, and the sizeable fan support and push he's received, he more than deserves it. I must respectfully disagree. Seriously, MITB is not the type of thing you want to see having the same thing happen over. 4/5 times now, 2 people have held the accolade twice. Punk had his chance last year, but got nothing from it, he had his chance. Its time to be fresh not doing the same thing over because it becomes lackluster as the main event was. Henry probably wouldnt have won but he could have done well with the accolade. Kane was a great choice as per usual missed though even though he can carry a world title. You explained christian. The mvp thing means nothing as its good for a year, mvp probably wont be US champ for a year. Shelton was more than deserving. Fact is, punk was possibly the worst choice (besides maybe finlay). MITB is an avenue to highlight someone new not the same person over again.

MITB: I was mad that Punk won it again. I mean come on we need someone new. Some nice spots in there. I though Kofi's spot was pretty cool. The match felt rushed.
Taker/HBK: that was a long ass match. Very back and fourth and It was what I expected.
Show/Cena/Edge: I thought was gonna suck. It actually surprised me to be better than Orton/HHH. I'm not too happy about another Cena win but eh whatever.
Rey/JBL: WHY SO RUSHED? They should of atleast put on a good 15 minute match. JBL would never of stayed down for one 619. IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE! I'm glad Rey has another title win but the match should of been longer!
Hardy/Hardy: I thought could of been a little more extreme. Nothing was amazing here. There were two good spots at the end but that was it.
Orton/HHH: I expected some blood. Seriously I expected a full out brawl. I expected them destroying the arena.
This years Wrestlemania 6.5/10

Worst Wrestlemania in a long long time that was. The Main Event had so much potential, and it turned out to be the most bog standard PPV Match. Where were Legacy and the McMahons? Such a big shame.
It didn't even feel like a special Wrestlemania, it just didn't have that feel to it.
My biggest worry, is ine two years time when there are no Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and maybe Jericho to have that big Wrestlemania Dream Match, who's going to take the spot?

Ok i watched up to the end of HBK v Taker last night and watched the last two matches earlier so this is my little review. Money in the BankReally good i think, Liked the fact Henry and Kane had a bit more to the match than i imagined and i actually thought Kane had a chance to win at the end 8/10 Kid Rock Mini ConcertNot bad for a song but it turned into a mini concert, It dragged a bit but then im sure for Kid Rock fans it was great 6/10 The Divas Battle RoyalShould of been more organized really, JR and King are like oh look there is Sunny and Molly Holly and im like" What i cant see", With a bit more organization it would of been a lot better 4/10 Chris Jericho vs. The LegendsGood Match, Steamboat was awesome, I was hoping the Legends would win but i suppose its a way for Jericho to still look good, I was looking forward to see Rourke, could of done more than a punch but seeing him was fun 7/10 Matt Hardy vs. Jeff HardyThe match i was most looking forward to and i enjoyed it, It would of been nice for it to be a bit longer but what can you do....... Loved the Twist of Fate at the end and am really happy Matt won , Will be interesting to see what happens in this fued next 8/10 JBL vs. ReyWell, What can you say Ok for the 20 seconds it lasted lol, Im happy at the fact Rey is intercontinental champion Undertaker vs. Shawn MichaelsI am not sure why people hype this match so much, Yeah it was good but not like BEST MATCH EVER, I though it was very predictable nearing the end and all it was in the last half was the two guys tading finishers, Good match but nothing amazing 7/10 John Cena vs Big Show vs EdgeCena's entrance was great, The actual match was good, Entertaining, Would of liked to see Big Show win but Cena was the most over so i guess it was for the best 7/10 HHH vs Randy OrtonNot as bad as most people were saying but not amazing, Cool entrance for Triple H, some good moments and a basic ending, As a big HHH fan im happy at the outcome 7/10 Overall PPV Rating 8/10

Wrestlemania thoughts-
MITB- A great match, Thought Kofi did extremly well. Enjoyed a few spots, like Kofi going up the lader that Henry was holding. Glad that CM Punk won.
Diva Battle Royal Not much to say on this, seemed to start early. Non of the old Divas was realy noticed by JR/King/Cole. Santina is was quite funny though.
Jericho vs Legends Thought Steamboat was amazing, preferomed great for a 56 year old hes deffinatly still got it. Glad Jericho won, but kinda stupid to have him get KO'd by Roruke.
Hardy vs Hardy Matts attire was great, Some good spots. A decent match and enjoyed the ending with the Twist Of Fate.
Rey vs JBL Reys attire was good..thats all.
Undertaker vs HBK Truley awesome match. Some great spots, like kicking out of the tombstones,SCM. Deffinatly MOTN, and it will be hard to top for MOTY too. Just Amazing.
Cena vs Edge vs Show Cenas entrance was great, an Army of Cenas!. Not a bad match IMO, Would rather had Edge win but Cena winning dosn't realy bother me at all.
HHH vs Orton HUGE let down. After an incredible build up, for it to end like that. Hopfully on Raw, Orton uses the footage of HHH usign a sledge hammer.

I want a refund.
The only match really worth seeing was HBK/Taker. Hardy/Hardy and MITB were good, but I still feel robbed of my $55. What a terrible Wrestlemania.

One thing's for sure...you can't deny that the WWE is full of surprises. I'm sure alot of people didn't expect or predict most of the things that happened last night.
First of all, words can't describe how annoyed and pissed I am that they took Miz/Morrison vs Colons off the televised card. I was looking forward to that match and was hoping it would have been 2nd one in. At least we got to see Kid Rock for 15 minutes (that was blatent sarcasm)...
MITB was great. I was so happy inside...just thinking about all the people that constantly hate on CM Punk and say he's garbage...blah blah. F YOU ALL. Good for him and I was glad he won it. Everyone complains how the WWE never pushes anyone new...well they are pushing CM Punk. Like it or not.
Kane does not need a briefcase to get a title shot. He is a guy who at any moment they could put into a main event feud and people would buy into it. Same goes for Henry. Those guys have proven they can be the "monster" of any show...not to mention neither of them will probably get anything more than the ECW title anyway.
MVP appears to be working his way up the card again, with the US title already on him, they aren't going to elevate him up to WHC status just yet. He will be one of those "pays off in the end" type of guys.
Shelton Benjamin will NEVER be a world champion. I like the guy, he's done some great stuff in the ring, but they aren't going to put him in the top spot. Why would he win the MITB?
Finlay also doesn't need the briefcase to get a title shot, and TBH no one is going to take him seriously anymore with that stupid Irish jig of a theme he has. He needs to go back to the Fighting song and dump the midget. Finlay has had a nice run and been one of the hardest working guys in the business...let him enjoy himself for the next few years being the badass heel he is and retire again, quietly...but never really go away.
Kofi has still got some growing to do...they aren't going to put him at the top yet, but he will probably end up like Shelton.
Christian wasn't going to win then cash in for the ECW title. They aren't moving him to RAW or SD just yet. Just because the internet marks and a bunch of fans at the show were cheering for him doesn't mean he HAS to win the match. Are you new here? If Vince hated Christian so much like the internet reports say....WHY DID HE HIRE HIM BACK??? to spite a company that is WORLDS behind him in buyrates, ratings, and overall stock? Can we please stop with the "vince hates this guy" conspiracies???
Punk was the ONLY logical choice. The main reason why... He's the only one who can LOSE the title shot and not have it hurt his push. Now they have the scapegoat...so MITB doesn't become this "guaranteed" thing. Punk wins and they will say how every year the winner has gone on to get the belt. He'll probably not even have it be a surprise again, he will cash it in on either RAW or a PPV and probably lose to HHH. Then everyone can cry about how HHH holds down all the new guys. In the big picture it won't matter, because the MITB is just an easy feud starter. Maybe he will lose the shot to Edge (if he gets drafted to SD) or (HBK, if Punk turns heel.) Either way, its an easy storyline for anyone.
As far as the match itself...it was too rushed. The Hornswoggle "big splash" was hilarious and Shelton's dive was just sick. The other big spots were nice as always, and I think they had a great mix of guys in there. I would have enjoyed another 10 minutes of spots though. I hate when its just bam bam bam over. It takes away from the match quality

Ok I have gotta have my take on the PPV. MITB: Bad things The only people who did anything memorable in the match were kofi and shelton. The others did NOTHING virtually Punk winning AGAIN and doing NOTHING Lack of Christian Good points Sheltons leap Kofis antics Overall 6.5/10 Kid rock - This guy ing sucks 0/10 Diva battle Royal PATHETIC. Bad points Couldn't see who clearly were in the ring couldn't see who got eliminated commentators didnt say who was in it or who got eliminated cluster santino winning - WTF Good points None Overall 0/10 WASTE OF TIME. Legends vs jericho Good Steamboats performance jericho winning bad should have just been jericho vs steamboat rourke aftermath overall 6/10 Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy Good points Jeffs leap from 2 ladder spot The finish Bad Jeffs table spot (messed it up) Overall 6.5/10 JBL VS REY Good reys costume Rey winning Bad Very short Overall 2/10 HBK/TAKER Good Almost everything Amazing counters Edge of your seat action taker winning Takers dive. Did anyone else think HE KILLED that cameraman??? poor guy! Bad Nothing except hbk botching one sweat chin attempt Overall 9.5/10 one of the best matches i've seen. Cena vs edge vs bigshow good points Cena's FU on both show and edge Bad points Match plodded too much for my liking, nothing really memorable Overall 6/10 MAINEVENT orton vs hhh Goodpoints None Bad PATHETIC mainevent for WM, absolutely PATHETIC. Excitement = 0. No one gave a Overall 2/10 OVERALL PPV RATING 5/10 and that's only cos of the taker/michaels match which is the only reason i'm glad i ordered the event, besides this match a HUGE letdown.

Unlike most here, I enjoyed the show..I agree some matches were not all classics, but it was a fun show for the most part.
Money In The Bank Ladder Match Since most believed Christian was going to get the win, I was glad that WWE had a different winner in mind. It was also nice to see Kane, Mark Henry and Finlay do a nice job in and outside the ring.
Kid Rock Performance Dragged on for way too long. I do like some of his music, like All Summer Long, so I was glad he sang that.
25 Diva Battle Royal I didn't like that the alumni divas really were not talked about/shown more. Ending was predictable with Santino eliminating Beth. I thought Beth should have confronted him more after the match instead of just pouting..
Chris Jericho vs. Legends Match started off a little slow, but got better as it went on. Steamboat looked good. I was hoping for a legends win, but oh well..Thought there would have been more fighting between Jericho and Rourke after the match..
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy Good spots throughout the match. Glad to see Matt win. Interested to see where this feud goes.
Intercontinental Championship Match Not much to say about this one. I do JBL, so I didn't like him losing the title...or quitting.
Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels I think both of these wrestlers are overrated, and although the match seemed unpredictable, I really had no doubt that Undertakers streak would come to an end. Good match, not a match of the year, though.
World Title Match Cenas entrance was funny. I enjoyed this match more than the main event. Cena winning doesnt bother me..People love him, so why not have the title on him?
WWE Championship Ending was very anti-climatic. I expected these two to brawl all over the stadium.
Overall, I would give the event an 8.5 out of 10.

Im a bit surprised Jeff didnt go for a bigger spot in the match, before the event started I was watching some of the Hardy diary videos they had on WWE.com and in one of them Jeff looks at the stage and says somethign like "lots of stuff to jump off". Not that the match was bad, just that a 40ft dive from Jeff would have made it better.

you thought the HBK/Taker match was predictable?! LMFAO OH shut up and never speak again As much as I loved the match, it was predictable. My friends and I were calling almost every spot before it happened. I don't blame Taker or HBK for that, though. I've been watching wrestling for 20 years, so it's kind of easy to predict what's going to happen next.

I actually really enjoyed Wrestlemania and I dont consider it to be anywhere near as bad as you guys are making it out to be. I think a lot of you are way too negative. I feel like I was watching another show. It may have helped that I took a break inbetween watching the main events.
Liked: MITB - Didn't want Punk to win though Y2J/Legends Match - Steamboat was on form last night Undertaker/HBK - Exactly what I expected Hardys Match Triple Threat (but I wanted Big Show to win it)
Didn't Like: HHH/Orton - Waste of a feud Diva Battle Royle - Too messy for my liking and not enough focus on past Divas
Overall one of the better Mania's

Its incredible to me that while we all have pretty different opinions on the show as a whole, I've yet to find any one person who thought Triple H/Orton was anything other than absolutely horrible.
That truly says something.
