I forgot, the team lost all their offensive lineman last year with Brady. I know, I know. Anyways, two things. One, I just read that New Orleans has been awarded Super Bowl XLVII. I couldn't be happier. Two, what are your guys thoughts on the "Rooney Rule"? I'm mainly asking because the NFL wants to expand it to GM's too....and just wanted your opinion.

I'm never for any form of racism, even if it's reverse-racism.

I don't agree with the Rooney rule. Most teams circumvent the rule anyway by bringing in a ringer to fill the criteria of the minority applicant. To me, the best guy's going to get the job regardless so in my opinion it's a dumb, dumb rule.

I think the NFL is so emphasized for winning, that they dont care who is coaching....black, white, asian, hispanic, etc.

he Jets and Patriots will play 14 games against common opponents (or each other) this year. But in the other two games (that's one-eighth of the schedule, remember), the Patriots draw the Ravens and Broncos, while the Jets get the Raiders and Bengals
Amazing how the NFL schedule works, not as bad as MLB but still

The Raiders and Bengals will more than likely not be very good, the Broncos definitely aren't the same without Jay Cutler. The Ravens will more than likely be very good unless Flacco starts playing terribly.

A cool feature on the NFL website, rank all the teams from 1 to 32 IYO heading into this season. Heres the link: fanrankings.nfl.com/. Post yours. Mine are: 1. Minnesota (Pending getting Favre) 2. New England ( #1 if the Vikes don't get Favre) 3. Pittsburgh 4. Chicago 5. San Diego 6. Philadelphia 7. Dallas (Homer Pick probably to put them up so high) 8. Arizona 9. Atlanta 10. Baltimore 11. New York Giants 12. San Francisco ( I have high expectations or I'm just plain high) 13. Miami 14. Houston 15. New York J-E-T-S 16. Seattle 17. Indianapolis 18. Buffalo 19. Carolina 20. New Orleans 21. Tennessee 22. Denver 23. Cincinnati 24. Green Bay 25. St. Louis 26. Washington 27. Kansas City 28. Oakland 29. Jacksonville 30. Cleveland 31. Detroit 32. Tampa Bay

I'm not saying Denver is going to the Super Bowl this year, but they'll be fine without Cutler. He was good when he was good, but it was often his stupid costly rookie-like mistakes that ended in our losses.

You'd be lucky to get a 2nd round pick for Chad Johnson, let alone a "Herschel Walker" type package

DJ, Aaron Rodgers isn't bad. If he's the reason you don't think the Packers will be good, you should re-consider... On the other hand, if your reasoning is, "This team is switching to a 3-4 and they have like 2 players who actually fit a 3-4," then I agree. Hahahaha.

Is there any way we can do a hybrid of our two thoughts?
