Now im not here to talk down on wrestling fans because we are all one but, out of all the different sports and other events ive been to wrestling fans seem to be well.......different. There are a couple different types of fans. For example there are the marks, then ones who believe everything they see and read is 100% real, Smartass fans who will argue with you if you dont like who they like........and of course the one with all the titles belts who thinks hes the ****. Anyway am I the only one who thinks wrestling fans can be rather uhh strange at times.

Sure, you're more than likely to encounter weird wrestling fans, but every sport and form of entertainment has weird fans.

Oh yeah, you meet the best at the local wrestling signings and conventions. I know alot of people are into it, but I still think nothing looks more rediculious than an old guy with a potbelly and a disheveled red beard walking around with a replica title over his shoulder.

Most of the kids just annoyed, they like some wrestlers because they doing some sick spots, such as Jeff hardy, and boo'ed to Ric Flair. Because they have NO idea who Ric Flair was.

The local independent small fed has these stereotypical "Missing many teeth, redneck types." coming to each show month to month, but I look at it this way, don't these people have the right to enjoy life and be entertained too?

At least they had a replica belt at a wrestling related event. When I worked at Toys R Us three years ago, some dude that was probably well into his 40s was just hanging out with his WWF replica belt.

I find the marks to be funny because they believe it's all real and it's just amusing to see their reactions. The smarks however are the ones that annoy me the most, they always cheer for the heel (I don't know why, it must be some unwritten rule that in order to not be a mark you always have to cheer for the heel), they think they know everything and are all that, and they complain too much. I consider myself a normal fan, I don't choose heels over faces or vice versa (even though I usually choose the bad guys over the good guys for everything else). I just like whoever is entertaining.

Because all fans can be fanatical? Each sport or form of entertainment has people that take it to extremes. Wrestling just so happens to have people that can't separate the entertainment from the reality aspect at times.

The only fans that piss me off, are the biased ones. The ones who have to defend their favourite untill they can't breath and their fingers bleed. The ones who only see their chosen wrestler in a good light, and can't take anything negative.
Sadly, there are a handfull of this catagorie on here..

IMO there aren't strange wrestling fans. Theres just strange people.
But if we're talking about what type of fans get on your nerves i'd have to say the fans that get on the dick of a wrestler who has the single lowest chance of being anything more then a jobber and acting like there the 2nd comming of jesus.

Living in Florida, I attend TNA a lot, and while I'm friends with a good majority of people that go to it, but then there are other regulars I cannot stand. Seriously, some smell like they haven't showered in weeks, look like they just stepped out of the buffet, and just make me ashamed to call myself a wrestling fan.

God, I remember when i was a kid (Now 14) and went to a John Cena Signing. There were kids flipping out, and I was talking to the dude in front of me about wrestling. It was kinda weird while kids were about to explode of joy, while I was talking with a fan about No Way Out 2005(?) Same thing at an Indy show, I only marked the f out for Gangrel, didnt boo anyone. If your going to a local indy show, you shouldn't boo anyone, because there hardly making any money and you should appreciate what they are doing for you.

In all fairness. if a guy is playing a heel in the indy company, it's his job for him to get the fans to boo him, so technically, that statement you made is kinda wrong. It's more about the "smarks" that act like they know everything about everything. Ok, so you know a little bit of facts, alright, no need to go around preaching it to everyone. That's why when I'm standing outside of a wrestling show, and I engage in a discussion with another fan, I like to either talk about what's going on in the world of wrestling right now, or something in the past. I try to stay away from the backstage shit.

I think it's weird that half the people do nothing but bitch about the WWE. Every thing WWE does is wrong! Yet they still watch it and come on the forums to crap on everybody else' s love for WWE.
Or the one who think you're dumber than them just cause you like a different wrestler. "Oh you like Batista so, What do you know?" Kinda strange really!

my favorite are the people who walk around with title belts thinking they are so cool and actually believe they are holding a real belt. These people somehow believe that the wwe title belts only cost 200-600. Morons!
