They're weird because, let's face it, wrestling is a weird business. The promoters, the wrestlers, the fans, we're all weird.
...and that's why we love it.

Oh yeah, you meet the best at the local wrestling signings and conventions. I know alot of people are into it, but I still think nothing looks more rediculious than an old guy with a potbelly and a disheveled red beard walking around with a replica title over his shoulder. Yeah i agree local indy shows seem to attract the worse. On a side note , is that you in the signature picture posing like HBK? Lol yes, but its MEANT to be tongue-in-cheek and funny ... btw.

That's better than fans killing each other like in other sports.

People with belts are annoying. Not because they look stupid, because I want one!!!!! lol jk
Really the most annoying fans are the ones when your waiting in line and they ask you the stupidest questions and argue with your answers. Like for example some guy with a Stone Cold shirt from 1998 will ask "Whose yo favorite rasslers??" Im like Edge, CM Punk, and Orton."
Then he'd be all like "Dude how can you like them did u see what CM Punk did to Hardy and Edge and Orton are pussies!!"

The most annoying type of fan to me, is a smark. Bar none. And I'm talking about the type of fan who just cannot forget for ONE minute that this stuff is scripted, when I'm watching it, I feel like I'm watching a movie - I tend to forget that it's not real and talk like it is, if you know what I mean. It's much more fun that way, than arguing over 5 star matches and whatever the hell.

I find the most annoying type of fan to thinks they know everything, down the the extent they go on about superstars being fired, and constantly complaining about some indie guy not being signed or that there favorite mid carder isnt in the main event right away despite no crowd backing. They think wrestling is just for them, and forget that its main market is children...oh yeah and the generaly creepy/nerdy ones arnt to great either, but hey, they probably dont have much else going on for them so if they enjoy it, then what the hell

Could someone please explain to me what constitutes the title of "smark"? Because I thought that it was any wrestling fan who knew wrestling is fake, but still watches. Smarks = Smart Marks = Fans who think they know everything there is about wrestling, and feels the need to school you in a wrestling history lesson if given the chance. Their opinion is fact to them and if you argue, theyll start to whine. They believe every word of dirt sheets and let them decide their opinion of Wrestling. As said, most fans who carry replica belts to indy shows and WWE shows "just because", are smarks. They think they are the champ. (Not to be mistaken with fans who bring belts to autograph sessions)Depends on that one. If they are bringing just to look cool then yeah, that's weird. But if they are bringing it to get signed then that's okay in my book. But really who are we to judge most of us (including me) collect the figs, which a lot of people think is weird. I don't mind the screaming kids/kids who mark out because I'm sure I was like that too. Everyone is paying money for the ticket. Therefore everyone should be able to enjoy the show, I normally just ignore the people next to me if they annoy me. Although it makes the experience 10x better sitting next to someone who is fun to talk to. But I usually go with friends so I don't normally have the problem of someone arguing with me as I tend to stay away from anyone else.

I'm getting the distinct impression that a lot of the hate on replica belts stems, at least a bit, from jealousy. Most of you probably don't own one, and you get a bit jealous of someone who does.
I also don't understand how wearing one to an event means that you think you're the champ. Based on that idiotic logic, if I wear a HHH shirt to an event, I obviously think I'm The Game, and should automatically Pedigree the first person who pisses me off.

Sh*t!

I don't really think that much of it is jealousy because those belts are only $200-300 so if you can afford to be at a show you can prob afford a $200 toy. I saw a guy at a show with a real belt once and thought he was insane for taking it out in public! The only time I ever had a real belt in public was for an hbk signing.

One thing that annoys me is when fans try to get involved with the show, like running into the ring and such. Was at a local show last weekend, and during this crazy brawl, everyone managed to get to the front rails, where there wasn't much space between the fans and the wrestlers. Kevin Thorn (who was wrestling in the match) got into an altercation with this fan, and Thorn ended up throwing the fans drink in the air (Which I think WAS out of line), and another fan throwing some food at Thorn in response (It hit a security guy, who didn't look to pleased about that to say the least) . There were also these kids spitting on Thorn's tag partner, Dragon Aisu, which I thought was just stupid. Also, at the end of the match, a load of people threw beer in the ring, which ended up getting them kicked out and making the interval longer. Just think it's stupid when fans seem to think they are allowed to do stuff like that. They paid to see the show, not be a part of it.

I cant say Ive ever met weird fans at shows or signings. TBH my experiance with other fans is always quite pleasant, as most of the time it would involve the time being passed at a queue for a signing talking about what we all love. Then there is ususally Facebook account swapping afterthat :)lol
