'Smarks know good wrestling"
Correct. We're all hypocrites who despise certain aspects in wrestling but probably can't do much better.

haha at Suicide vs. Homicide Angle & Joe vs. Daniels and Styles should have been the main event for sure. TNA flips up the main events for house shows alot of the time. Like, Daniels/Styles vs. Angle/Joe main evented the show in Jamestown, Styles/Joe main evented the show in Hamburg, & BMI/3D main evented the shows in Syracuse & Canada. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. They came here last year and I didn't go. I heard a lot of bad things about it and some said it was ok but I didn't hear anyone raving about it. I figured I'd give it a shot this year and form my own opinion and well...it was just not that good. And in my opinion, that card is really weak considering all of the great talent that they have on their roster. I'm not complaing just to complain was one person mentioned. I'm just stating that my point of view (a life long wrestling fan and a pro wrestler of 7 years) that the show was not that impressive. The tv show is the poops because of their storylines. I figured the House Show would have the great wrestling and the Total Nonstop Action that they are named for but the action wasn't really that nonstop, lol. Two bad shows does not mean every single show sucks. Like I said before, the two I went to were great, and every person who as gone to other shows on here said they were great. Exactly, I've been to two (three this Friday) TNA House Shows and had to go more than an hour to see them and always have been good. I'm not saying "Every show is amazing" either.

This fills me full of hope going into Friday. Oh, well. Between this and Ric Flair on the 24th, I'm hoping to see something that doesn't suck.

I don't understand why people are getting on his case for his opinion on a show. It's not like it was free and he was getting free wrestling. He paid money to go watch a show and he was disappointed. Get off his case.

That's a shame that the house show wasn't great. The one I went to I really enjoyed.
The matches were:
1) Alex Shelley vs Eric Young vs Jay Lethal vs Consequences Creed 2) Sheik Abdul Bashir vs Abyss 3) Taylor Wilde and ODB vs Beautiful People 4) Beer Money Inc. vs Team 3D -Birmingham Street Fight- 5) Brutus Magnus vs Matt Morgan 6) Samoa Joe vs Doug Williams 7) Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner vs Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles
That and Fan Interaction made this a great show.

Me and my friend went to the show in Buffalo on Saturday and we both thought it sucked. Just felt like an indy show.

So 20 people in what could be 800-900 people though it was bad makes TNA house shows suck? I would say there were about 400-500 people. And if you had read what I wrote correctly, I said that the majority of the 20 people that I talked to didn't like the show. That 20 people included regular fans, smarks, and people in the business. I would wager that there were a lot of unhappy people there just based on the 20 that I talked to. The bad wrestling and lackluster presentation is what the made the show suck. I'm sorry, I didn't know you knew every category there was in the wrestling community. Anyway, I wouldn't go as far to say that TNA house shows suck. Yes, it wasn't to your taste or the people that you knew but what did you expect from a house show, a freaking pay per view card?

While I didn't go to the show because of financing...I seen the card, and I gotta say that I'm not glad I didn't go; I'm disappointed in what was brought.
Last time TNA was in Syracuse was the Great New York State Fair--- that was in 2007, and the show wasn't bad, kinda short, but a great sampler.
This card however, from what was posted on PWInsider, was nothing special at all. Even if it was part of a convention. I'm guessing.
From what I readm Creed-Bashir went 10 seconds, with Creed winning. He demands a rematch, that goes 8 seconds. He demands another rematch where Creed would win $5000 if he beat Bashir and Bashir gets himself DQed or something along the lines of Creed losing.
That is a poor booking move if your goal is to get the fans excited from the start.
Love-Wilde I read was the same match they've been doing at prior shows only Wilde winning.
The card its self after that is dependant on the viewer, so I can't judge anything else.
I will say I'm no 2CW fan boy but I've been to 3 of their shows and its always been fun, lots of great action and energy. TNA is a televised promotion though, so it could have been all meet and greet with no actual action and it would have sold as many or around the same amount of tickets.
Still sucks TNA and WWE put together these shows that seem so brief. Like barely 2 hours.
When I was a kid, 8 or 9, I went to a WWF show during the Invasion Era that lasted 3 or 3 and a half hours.
I would have went, even if I knew the card and could afford to go, but you can't knock something first and complain about what you got afterward.

Damnit! The one match I've always wanted to see(Angle/Joe vs. Daniels/AJ) happens in MY HOMETOWN and I missed it. Son of a b*tch!
How was the match though?

You are the only person I have ever heard speak negatively about a TNA house show. I thought the exact same thing.

It had an old school tag match feel to it bit it was good and the finish was really hot. It was match of the night by far.

I expected...I don't know...a little more action and entertainment from a company called Total Non-Stop Action. I think they spent just as much time asking who is their biggest or loudest fan (not just one time, multiple times) as they did letting their guys wrestle.

I will say I'm no 2CW fan boy but I've been to 3 of their shows and its always been fun, lots of great action and energy. Yeah man, 2CW shows are some of the best indies I've been a part of the on the East coast. Have you seen Homocide vs. Isys Ephex, AJ Styles vs. Loca Vida, or any of Samoa Joe's matches there? There was definately a lot more total non-stop action by these tna wrestlers at the 2CW shows. When I was a kid, 8 or 9, I went to a WWF show during the Invasion Era that lasted 3 or 3 and a half hours. Haha, I went to that show too. I was pumped the Main Event was like an 8 or 10 man tag and had some of my favorites from ECW (Taz, Mike Awesome, Tajirir, etc.) you can't knock something first and complain about what you got afterward. Not sure if that was directed at me. But I posted in my original message that I had heard bad things about the TNA house show last year (at the State Fair). I didn't go so I couldn't say one way or another how it was. I decided to go to this one hoping that it would be good (I wasn't knocking it yet). I only started knocking it and complaining after I had paid for my tickets and the show started.

I went to one in Miami back in September and thought that it was a pretty terrible show, especially for the price that it was.

If you can't stand the tV show why the hell would you attend a live show?
As for the two house shows I atttended in their UK tours I was thoroughly entertained & had a great time. Plus my wife who is not a wrestling fan enjoyed it as well. Yeah some matches could have been stronger but it's the whole atmosphere & everything else rather than a card of 5* matches
If you went there with the mindset of not enjoying it hardly a big surprise that you didn't is it?

So...did you not read any of my other posts at all? If you can't stand the tV show why the hell would you attend a live show? I can't stand the TNA tv show because of the stupid angles and ridiculous matches. I attended the house show because there are no storylines during house shows. House shows generally have better quality matches because it's just pure wrestling as opposed to angles and storylines like you see on RAW, Smackdown & especially TNA. I don't know if you know this but TNA stands for Total Non-Stop Action. Their show didn't contain very much "action". If you went there with the mindset of not enjoying it hardly a big surprise that you didn't is it? I went there with the mindset to enjoy it. I had heard bad things about these shows but I was still hoping to enjoy myself because I was assuming a Total Non-Stop Action show would be full of action and great wrestling. There really wasn't a whole lot of either. They spent just as much time pandering to the crowd trying to figure out who the loudest fan is and where the loudest section is than they did with the wrestling.
