Some of you are obvisiously infatuated with TNA and aren't open to any other opinions that might criticize the beloved company.
I'm not a blatant TNA hater. I'm glad that they exist because the WWE needs competition to not become stale and it also provides jobs for more wrestlers. I want to enjoy TNA but I just can not. I give it another shot every couple of months but it is still horrible. Their shows are all over the place and I hate how they throw together gimmick matches just for the sake of having them. It devalues the concept and is completely meaningless when there is no build-up to it. TNA can be a great company, they have the talent to pull it off but they really need to improve their product (both tv show and non televised shows). They are like a watered-down version of the WWE from the Attitude Era.
It sounds like a lot of you guys are just following TNA blindly and get very offensive when someone bashes them. I'm not bashing them for the sake of bashing them. I support wrestling and I am a wrestling fan (I am actually a pro wrestler too so I've seen this business from both sides). It's just annoying when a company with the potential to be so good just can't get figure out what it's doing is not working.
Here's an example: The recent TNA house show here in Syracuse, NY.
TNA (a nationally televised company with pay-per-views, action figures, etc.) brings in a lot of their big names for a house show. Guys like Angle, Joe, Styles, Daniels, etc. This show draws about 400-500 people tops (and I'm being generous)
2CW (a local indy fed here in Syracuse, NY) has a show in the same city at the same building two years ago. They have no tv show, no action figures, nothing. They are kind of famous on the indy level currently but not so much back then. It was only their 4th shows. They bring in Tony Atlas, Spike Dudley, & The New Age Outlaws and draw between 800-900.
That's almost double what TNA drew. A company with national exposure versus a small indy fed. That's not good for TNA.
Jeremy Borash said that they are coming back to Syracuse and will be coming back with a PPV. The crowd went balls for that but...c'mon, that's not gonna happen. They are probably not even going to come back to Syracuse after drawing such a lousy crowd. With turnouts like that, I can't imagine them making a whole lot of money off of their shows.

I so agree that TNA house shows suck. I went to the one down in Macon, GA and totally got screwed. The Card was only 5 matches with only 25%of the roster there. I also got screwed that I didnt get to meet Kurt Angle who I came to see and instead they offere $20 to have your pic (NO AUTOGRAPHS) and 2 seconds of time with AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett. I have to admit that there were hundreds of marks that got that went for the scam and you could see the grins on Double J and AJ about how much money there collecting of the marks. They made more money of the pics then they did with the tickets.

i love how they charge for autographs. First off they are team 3d not only that...in a sense no wrestler is worth 20 bucks for a signature. Secondly what if a fan approaches them outside of the show for an autograph...are they gonna ask him for 20 bucks? I met brother ray before...i knew his uncle and he got us seats to raw, but he was still kinda a douche after the show.

Wow, that does sound like a pretty bad card. I haven't heard much bad stuff about TNA's live shows. I'm looking forward to hitting one eventually.

This happens with every autograph signing I've ever seen or have ever been to. The price is usually depending on who is signing the autograph. For a team like Team 3D, 20 bucks is a reasonable and normal price.

I met brother ray before...i knew his uncle and he got us seats to raw, but he was still kinda a douche after the show. They didn't charge for autographs. They charged for them getting in the ring and getting a photo of them (taken by TNA & printed out on the spot) w/ 3D.. I so agree that TNA house shows suck. I went to the one down in Macon, GA and totally got screwed. The Card was only 5 matches with only 25%of the roster there. They made more money of the pics then they did with the tickets. LOL, I was at the same show and they (AJ & Jeff) did do autographs. You could've gotten one of the sec. guys to hand AJ/Jeff whatever you wanted signed and they signed it with no problems or questions asked. Jeff & AJ also stood there and would talk to you for a few minutes and when the next person/family would come up, they would stop and take the picture and go back to talking to you after they was done. Also, the card was 6 matches, not five. "25%" of the roster is good especially with the fact how many bigger names you got like Jeff, Kurt, Scott, & AJ plus Creed, Young, Bashir, etc.

I have read several house show results and they all seem to have only 6 matches. 6 matches? That in itself is an absolute joke. Hell WWE usually has anywhere between 8-10 matches. I would have been extremely unsatisfied to pay for that show.

Like, last week 3D & Daniels worked the live events but now they're not this week. Only a select few work the live events every time out.

So...did you not read any of my other posts at all? If you can't stand the tV show why the hell would you attend a live show? I can't stand the TNA tv show because of the stupid angles and ridiculous matches. I attended the house show because there are no storylines during house shows. House shows generally have better quality matches because it's just pure wrestling as opposed to angles and storylines like you see on RAW, Smackdown & especially TNA. I don't know if you know this but TNA stands for Total Non-Stop Action. Their show didn't contain very much "action". If you went there with the mindset of not enjoying it hardly a big surprise that you didn't is it? I went there with the mindset to enjoy it. I had heard bad things about these shows but I was still hoping to enjoy myself because I was assuming a Total Non-Stop Action show would be full of action and great wrestling. There really wasn't a whole lot of either. They spent just as much time pandering to the crowd trying to figure out who the loudest fan is and where the loudest section is than they did with the wrestling. I read your post but like i said if you don't like the tV show because of the direction it takes then why would you expect their house shows to be that different? It's still the same company putting out the same wrestlers in the same matches. Do you turn up to a RAW house show expecting a house card of 5* matches? Somehow I think not. As for my comment about you turning up to the show with the wrong mindset it is because a lot of your comments which according to you I didn't read make you come across as a smark who turned up purely so he could then bitch about it & try to look cool.

Somehow I still don't think you're getting the point. I do not like the tv show Impact, this is true. Why? The storylines and pointless gimmick matches kill it for me. House shows do not feature the things I dislike (bad storylines, pointless ladder matches, etc.) House shows are supposed to feature...oh I don't know...wrestling. I have gone to recent WWE House Shows too. They're weren't great but they were ok. They had a lot more matches and a lot of the guys actually wrestled as opposed to the ga-ga that a lot of the TNA guys did.[/quote] As for my comment about you turning up to the show with the wrong mindset it is because a lot of your comments which according to you I didn't read make you come across as a smark who turned up purely so he could then bitch about it & try to look cool. Again, I went to the show wanting to enjoy it because I enjoy wrestling and a company called Total Non-Stop Action will probably feature a lot of "action". I was wrong and I thought the show was bad. Being a wrestler myself, I understand that guys don't want to give it their all every night when on tour especially when they drew the low attendance that they did. I was just disappointed with the overall product (the presentation as well as the wrestling) I've seen other companies do a lot better. I've been to indy shows (2CW & ROH), I just got back from Mexico where I saw IWRG, CMLL, & AAA (TripleMania) and all of those shows were great. I'm not complaining to "look cool". I'm complaining because I want TNA to suceed but they really need to turn things around. There is no way they are going to come back to towns like Syracuse when they draw so low in the first place. The few people that did show up probably aren't gonna come back the second time around which isn't good for TNA. WWE House shows while not being much better still draw a couple thousand people. The TNA show only drew a couple hundred. That's not saying very much at all for TNA. To go into even more detail to "look cool". Their arena set-up looked bush league and their merch stand was pitiful. The overall product was just not impressive in any sort of way at all.

Again, I'm not bashing TNA just to complain. It's just annoying when they have so much great talent and their product is so lousy. The only thing I can bear to watch is the World X Cup thing they do when they focus in lesser known guys from all over the world instead of just former WWE wrestlers.
A lot of the people defending TNA are taking it personal and are apparently deeply offended by any other opinion besides TNA is the best wrestling company in the world.
TNA is capable of a lot better. The TNAtion shouldn't accept mediocrity so easily.
