I went to the TNA show here in Syracuse yesterday and well it was really bad. I can't stand the TNA tv show just because it's all over the place and nothing makes sense. I was hoping their lives shows would be better because it would be more wrestling but it was still bad.
Daivari vs. Consequences Creed - Ugh!
Angelina Love vs. Taylor Wild - Ugh!
Suicide vs. Homicide - I had high hopes for this one but it was slow and sloppy.
Angle & Joe vs. Daniels and Styles - Slow old school tag match but still the best match of the card, I would have made this the main event.
Jay Lethal vs. Showtime Eric Young - Ugh! How does Eric Young still have a job after all these years?
Beer Money Inc. vs. Team 3D - Mostly comedy stuff that I've seen done better by the Killer Steves on the indies.
$20 poloroids w/ Team 3D - Surprisingly a ton of people got their pictures taken with them even though it cost just as much as a ticket to the friggen show.
My overall opinion is that TNA is nowhere's near the WWE right now as far as their overall product. The whole thing felt very bush league to me. I don't even think TNA can compete with 2CW (the local Syracuse indy fed). 2CW ran the same building 2 years ago and outdrew TNA by at least a hundred fans. They didn't have all the names that TNA has nor a national TV show but they still outdrew TNA.

Maybe it's just a difference of opinion but there isn't a bad match on that entire card in my eyes.

You are the only person I have ever heard speak negatively about a TNA house show.

The two TNA house shows I have been to, every match is great and entertaining. And everyone else who has been to one thinks that too.

I actually talked to about 20 different people that I knew at the show and the majority were disappointed with what they saw at the show. I think the regular fans thought it was ok but the smarks and the people actually in the business were underwhelmed to say the least.

Actually, I enjoyed the show because it really was good wrestling. And when you say the smarks said the show sucks, that tells me something. What does that tell you? Smarks are generally pleased if the wrestling is "good" like you say it is but everyone I talked to was not pleased because the wrestling was not "good". A lot of it was very slow paced and got sloppy when it did speed up (Suicide vs. Homocide & Lethal vs. Young). The regular fans (families, people not really familiar with wrestling) seemed to enjoy the ga-ga and comedy. It was just disappointing because I've seen these guys on local indy shows (Styles, Joe, Homocide, etc.) and they just put in a lot more effort and the wrestling there actually was "good".

I like how you said "shows" as in "Every house show sucks just because mine wasn't good" and that's a pretty good card. It was just disappointing because I've seen these guys on local indy shows (Styles, Joe, Homocide, etc.) and they just put in a lot more effort and the wrestling there actually was "good". So, tell me.. did they just do 3 shows before the indy shows you saw them at? Travel from NY to Canada back to NY? Yeah, you were the last show on a four day loop that started on Thursday. That had alot to do with it, I bet. Yeah, it's been like that since they started it. You step into the actual TNA ring and get a picture took with a big star. $20 isn't a bad price, seems to me you're just complaining to complain.

So 20 people in what could be 800-900 people though it was bad makes TNA house shows suck?

Smarks have high standards, and a show is usually good or bad, never mediocre.

So 20 people in what could be 800-900 people though it was bad makes TNA house shows suck? I would say there were about 400-500 people. And if you had read what I wrote correctly, I said that the majority of the 20 people that I talked to didn't like the show. That 20 people included regular fans, smarks, and people in the business. I would wager that there were a lot of unhappy people there just based on the 20 that I talked to. The bad wrestling and lackluster presentation is what the made the show suck.

I like how you said "shows" as in "Every house show sucks just because mine wasn't good" and that's a pretty good card. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. They came here last year and I didn't go. I heard a lot of bad things about it and some said it was ok but I didn't hear anyone raving about it. I figured I'd give it a shot this year and form my own opinion and well...it was just not that good. And in my opinion, that card is really weak considering all of the great talent that they have on their roster. I'm not complaing just to complain was one person mentioned. I'm just stating that my point of view (a life long wrestling fan and a pro wrestler of 7 years) that the show was not that impressive. The tv show is the shits because of their storylines. I figured the House Show would have the great wrestling and the Total Nonstop Action that they are named for but the action wasn't really that nonstop, lol.

Nah, WWE house shows are worse. The security guards don't even let you be part of the DX's run-around-the-ring-and-high-five-fans if you're sitting just 2 rows away from the barricade!

Haha, that sucks man. I'm not knocking TNA just to knock TNA because the WWE house shows are pretty bad too. As far as WWE house shows go: As a fan it sucked because the wrestleres weren't doing much in the matches. As a wrestler it was good to see because they weren't doing anything and the crowd was still into it.

Two bad shows does not mean every single show sucks. Like I said before, the two I went to were great, and every person who as gone to other shows on here said they were great.
