Right, well haven't seen one of these in a long time, and have been watching alot of Batman recently, so I thought why not. Now I know this thread will probably be bombarded by the Bandwagen Jumpers of TDK, who'll leave comments like "TDK Greatest film EVER!!!!11" and craplike that, but hey  And I know that there's no B:MOTP, SubZero or the 1966 Batman, but I'm really just wanting to know wat you guys think of these. For me, I would have to go with Returns, I just love how dark it is, and how everytime Batman fights, its just excitment fulled entertainment. Plus Keaton was, and will allways be the best Batman ever, no one can ever deny that fact that HE will always be Batman. Now, I do like all the films, well apart from Begins, not saying I hate it, its just not as fun and as good as the others, to me. However, I will say that I think I'm in the minority when I say that I would rather watch any of the first three films (Returns, 89 or Forever) before I'd watch TDK. To me, TDK is just overrated, don't get me wrong, its a good film, really good, but I just would have rathered we had gotten a more complete and physical final battle between either Batman/Joker or Batman/Two-Face. I went with Batman Returns. That and the first Batman I feel are the best. After Batman Returns it just got too cartoony for my liking. I can watch them but I'd prefer the first two.
Batman Begins was an "Ok" movie. Nothing really great.
The Dark Knight is good...but over rated as all hell.

 I kid... in all seriousness- it's so difficult to decide. I love Batman Forever, and have replayed it the most for nostalgia purposes. Acting and quality wise, the best is probably Batman Begins...but as far as an epic story, with the most powerful characters from Batman's lore- it's undoubtedly TDK. For a comedic relief, Batman '66 is great to watch and also brings me back to my childhood... Batman & Robin is the greatest movie ever to play a drinking game to...just take a shot(or sip of beer) every time Mr. Freeze says anything involving 'Chill' or an Ice Pun, and voila- you're HAMMERED!!! Also, 'MotP' is probably the best animated film I've ever seen...so as a huge batfan this is unfair to even ask... But in a pinch- I'll say TDK.(best quality wise) My favorite, however is Batman Forever. |

Saying the Dark Knight makes you a bandwagon jumper? Oh and saying something other than that makes you enlightened? I think not.
I honestly love them all except for Batman and Robin, but my favorite is easily The Dark Knight.

I wasn't saying that, I know alot of real Batman fans thought that it was the best film, but due to the success of the film, alot of people just jumped on and said "Yeah, batman rules" without seeing any other Batman films |

Honestly, this is the only situation where I'd say you're insane to say otherwise.
I honestly think people are so anti-TDK hype that they've lost their minds.

I voted for The Dark Knight. it just edges out Batman 89 by millimetres as my fave Bats live action movie. my fave Bats movie ever though is Mask Of The Phantasm  |
