Too bad he won't fight Machida. That would be a great fight. Well, actually we very well may see that fight. Dana White's stated that friends will have to start fighting friends and guys in the same camp will soon figh one another. So Machida vs Silva is possible.

Silva has 3 fights left on his contract. The next guy is Henderson, the next I imagine will be the winner of Maia/Marquardt, and the next I can see being GSP.

I agree with your first 2 fight predictions for Silva, however, his 3rd fight won't be for a while and who knows, by that time GSP may have another loss under his belt. It all depends on what the status is on GSP and Machida at the time in my opinion.

Word on the Underground is that Griffin may have dislocated his jaw very early in the fight, took several more punches to the jaw afterward, and couldn't hear out of one of his ears, and that's why he sprinted to the back after losing.
After the Kimo thing (which also broke on the UG), I'd take that with a grain of salt until a real media source reports it. But if true, it would explain why Griffin went down on a flicking jab. It wouldn't take much of a jab to hurt a dude with a dislocated jaw.

Supposedly, he broke his jaw and couldnt hear out of his right ear. Maybe that's why he ran out of there. Losing my hearing would scare the hell out of me too.

Reporter: "Dana, where's Forrest?" Dana: "He's probably in Georgia by now" Ouch. I wonder who, if anyone, at Light-Heavyweight will be the man to finally stop Anderson Silva....Lots of great fighters in that division and it looks like its only a matter of time before Anderson tears his way through that division as well. i think a silva evans fight would be pretty good but silva's reach alone would give him the edge.

Not a bad show tonight! Really surprised by Griffin/Silva, but I didn't know he had a dislocated jaw and that totally justifies going down to that jab. Penn was excellent!

Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin was not a 'work'.
a. It's not about how HARD you get hit sometimes, so much as it's WHERE you get hit. Forrest was never 'out', but he was getting rocked.
b. If they were going to fix a fight, it wouldn't be a semi-main event.
c. If Anderson Silva was in on the fix, he wouldn't be doing what he did... Helping Forrest up, standing there with his hands at his side, showing disrespect, etc. They would try much harder to make it look legit.

Anybody who thinks this is a work does not understand fighting whatsoever. Watch Nick Diaz against Robbie Lawlor. Same situation. Was that a work? Damn fools!
Admittedly I'm ridiculously drunk and it's like four in the morning, but after that show I'm going to say something I never imagined in my wildest dreams I would ever consider saying.
ANDERSON SILVA MAY ACTUALLY BE THE MOTHERF*CKING POUND FOR POUND BEST IN THE ENTIRE GOD DAMN WORLD HOLY F*CK
Insane, unreal, amazing performance from Silva. Penn was also a monster. Holy christ.

I think the punch looks weak from the angle that GIF showed however from the other angles it definitely looks like a punch capable of knocking a guy out. Especially a guy who got rocked 2 other times just moments earlier and who (apparently) dislocated his jaw and couldn't hear... Good shot from Silva. I was right in my prediction of the Silva/Griffin fight but wrong on the Florian/Penn match. Mostly because I dunno why but I'm not much of a BJ Penn fan. Hasn't really grown on me though his win tonight was impressive I'll say that much.

After seeing the Griffin/Silva fight, I feel disappointed that it didn't go the distance, but was absolutely pmsl at the second knockdown. Silva was just taking the p*ss out of Griffin.
Actually I think the whole fight was a joke. Griffin wasn't there at all and WTF is with the run off to the back at the end? Are you not better than that Forrest? Where's the Forrest Griffin in the Rashad Evans post-fight? Now, I'm a Forrest Griffin fan, and I really wanted him to win. I'm not going to claim I hated him the entire time and he deserved to get KTFO because he didn't (although fighting like that you are asking for a few punches).
EDIT: Dislocated jaw and loss of hearing in one ear justifies the weak-ass KO and his running to the back.

Wow..Griffin didn't stand a chance.
I think the whole fight was summed up when Anderson was charged up, wanting to go fist/fist with Forrest and Forrest just went "I dunno what to do" with this body language.
Damn

Ok, go to youtube right now before they take it down and watch the knock out again. Griffin gave up, he was not knocked out. Watch it really closely and you can see what appears to be Forrest taking his mouth guard out as he hits the ground, thus throwing in the towel. Yeah, I was thinking the only thing keeping his method of loss a KO instead of a submission due to strikes was the fact that Griffin didn't actually tap out or (that we know of) verbally give up. But his actions sure seemed more like a submission than a TKO. Then again, I guess if you BEHAVE like you've given up, but haven't ACTUALLY given up (via the universally accepted tapout or verbal submission), then you're forcing the referee to call the fight off, which is technically a TKO. Oh yeah, it was a TKO, but I still think Forrest decided not to get up. I'm tired of hearing people make excuses for Griffin. Dislocated jaw/broken jaw he still shouldn't have behaved like that.

What was up with Forrest giving up? Oh well I still won my $20 for the Forrest fight. As for Penn and Florien I thought they would stand up the whole time but Penn still won and I got my $20 for that!
