Went to trivia night at the yacht club my parents go to and this was one of the questions:
What did Shaquille O'Neal do in his first professional game that Wilt Chamberlain never did his entire career?
Try and guess and if no one gets it I'll post the answer tomorrow.

I used Jason Kidd as an example of an amazing point guard, not to compare their styles, trying to make my analogy work. Really no need for Keith Van Horns name to be dragged down any farther than it already is. Anyways, I am just pissed at how they played, I am not even depressed or worried. All we need is 1 in LA and we will be okay. Just gotta avoid ESPN today and tomorrow. Someone else needs to retire or get screwed out of a Perfect game

I just fear the the Lakers got used to scoring in bunches and for high totals in the Suns series and now Boston is going to have trouble finding all those points to match them. The Lakers get a lot of second handed points that kill the effort of Boston. Boston's best offensive option tonight seemed to be Ray Allen off of screens. I think KG has his hands full against the Lakers down low. The lane is too clogged and defensively skilled for Rondo to freelance consistently like he has been. Hopefully Pierce explodes sooner rather than later...

Trust me, the Lakers scare the crapout of me now watching them tonight. They looked like a machine.
Then again you had arguably the worst game for KG, Pierce disappeared, Rondo looked like he was in middle school. I mean they looked as bad as they could and didnt hustle.
All those are fixable...hopefully

I really gotta point out how much I love Ron Artest's overall game and that I had been placing so much value on him for years. To see what he did in the Houston-Lakers series last year and then to have an impact like that tonight, it's nice.
Also, a lot of people have said to me ALREADY that they thought Boston didn't try or had effort issues. I completely disagree, I saw no lack of effort. I saw timid decisions, nerves, a lot of plays where they were just out executed or beaten to a move off of the hesitation in general.
The Lakers also have the best big man in the NBA, no question.

LA's a differnent beast physically and mentally, they're also an excellent defensive team and that had a lot to do with the C's sucking. Kobe on Rondo was a great move, might be the only time Rondo seen somebody play defense on him all playoffs.
Artest scored 15 shooting .500, that's a key to them winning the series. If he doesn't score and Fisher and Odom don't either, I don't see how the Lakers win this unless Kobe drops 50 on them.

As much as Gasol is right about Garnett (I mean even Ray Charles knows hes not the same), I wouldnt be telling people you think hes lost a step and hes just a jump shooter now. I hate when people give the other team bulletin board material, especially during the finals.
I wouldnt be surprised if we see old school KG Sunday right in Gasols face, even if that means he hasta play through pain

Looks like Monty Williams is the next Hornets coach. It's who Chris Paul wanted, and what he wants, he should get.

Hornets needed a defensive minded coach and that was Thibodeau, I guess they just didn't want to wait so long.

Thing with Gasol is that he seems like he's shed his "soft" label, but he was only getting his and-1s on touch fouls. Just wait until Garnett pops him with a nice hard playoff foul. I bet he doesn't play nearly as well once he's actually been hit. I don't think this series is over yet, but I do expect the Lakers to clean up in 6.

ESPN's John Hollinger believes a sign and trade for Chris Bosh to the Knicks is more likely than to the Lakers for Bynum.
Considering a week ago ESPN had Phil Jackson coaching the Bulls... I'll believe this about as much as I did that.

Sign and trade for who? David Lee? Gallinari? I dont know why the Raptors would want someone other than Bynum, unless the Bynum offer isnt real

Bynum gets hurt every year of his career and currently has a torn MCL.
BTW, don't do David Lee like that. He led the NBA in double doubles and is actually great for Toronto's system with even their Center Bargnani being a shooter.
Bynum has also never played as a number 1, 2, 3 or 4th option. David Lee made the all star team as a Knick in this era, impossible.
But hey, Garnett went for Al Jefferson...

Bynum has more potential than David Lee, not to mention he is signed. Lee would need to agree to resign with NY and want to go to Toronto to make it happen. Personally I like Lee, but why would the Raptors take him/his contract over someone like Bynum and his potential? That's all I am saying. I love the KG trade mention, been a few weeks since that. At least Jefferson is still in the league, what was Gasol traded for? Javaris Crittendon and a #1 pick?

Remember that Marc Gasol was in that deal too... I REALLY like his game, and he's a much better fit next to Gay/Mayo/Z-Bo than Pau would be.
